Lots of room
We had 6 adults and one teen in our group and never felt crowded in this space. We spent 4 nights over the Thanksgiving holiday. There was everything we needed to for cooking and entertainment.

Beautiful property
The house needs some tlc there were broken fixtures many burned out lights pretty broken hottub a lot of non working jets and a broken top. The bbqer was in pretty bad shape super drirty. We had to finish the laundry and unload the dishwasher from the previous guests.We had 7 people and only had 1 towel per person for 5 day's so we had to do laundry. The main bathroom had a clogged up shower head and a tub that wouldn't drain. The fireplace gate was also broken. With a litlle more attention this place would be perfect. All in all we did enjoy our stay there and they had plenty of games and cooking amenities.

Annual family vacation
First, I must say, this is a beautifully situated home and cabin, lay-out is excellent, comfortable, quiet, kitchen well stocked appliances and some basic foods, etc. Love it! We have stayed here twice now. This second time was a 5 night stay for 6 adults and one baby. Promised amenities fell short. basic items like paper towels (1 roll, no back ups) wash cloths 5 (for 7 people) it's a good thing I brought 3 from home I use for make up so we could at least each have one to put in the washing machine daily. (a pack of 24 costs $13.99 at Costco) hand soap foam dispensers only had water in the bottom 1/2 inch - no soap refills. (I put some of the body wash from the shower in the kitchen one) The shower curtain liner in the main bathroom was moldy. The Brita water filter pitcher had red mold in it and no new filters in sight. The hot tub was good on the inside and water clean, but the lid bar was broken so only half the tub was accessible. amenities list s'mores (none) 2 of the 4 fans for the bedrooms were not running smoothly. It would be very nice to have some allergy free, chemical free laundry soap and not use all that fabric softener. many people have sensitivities to these products. I messaged the owner prior to arrival asking about firewood and never received an answer. There was one bundle on the porch - so thank you for that. I give reviews to friends looking for vacation rentals. Tell people to bring their own items no longer provided.

Escaping Texas Heat
This was our first trip to Mt. Rainier. The house was a perfect location and had everything as described. The house was well equipped with everything you need. The host was very responsive and accommodating. Highly recommend this place! We thoroughly enjoyed our trip!!

Nice place for extended family to gather. Well equipped but the place is showing its age. Well built cabin but a little run down. Well situated for visiting the park. Enjoyed the stars and sound of the adjacent creek.

Amazing stay!
We greatly enjoyed this property! There were two families (4 adults and 6 kids) sharing this and it was just perfect for our group! We greatly enjoyed the deck, large gathering area and of course the hot tub! House was conveniently located to what we had planned to do in the area.

Great cabin, great location
The cabin is very comfortable, feels rustic but you have all modern amenities. The location is fantastic, really close to the entrance to Mount Rainier. The stream running in the back is a lot of fun for kids.

Mount Rainier weekend

50 year anniversary
The property was clean and felt warm & inviting from the first step inside. Both cabins were beautifully decorated, equipped with necessities plus many extras above and beyond expectations. We enjoyed sitting on the porch, sipping early morning coffee while wildlife fluttered and strolled into view. Games & movies galore, including Cabin In The Woods. Background: we spent many weekends camping on Mount Rainier with our (then) adolescent kids and their friends. Those ‘kids’ and their young families joined us once again for a wonderful weekend getaway. Thank you Ryan & Danielle for sharing this magical, peaceful experience, we didn’t want to leave.

Would Stay Again
Great place for base camp to explore Rainier and convenient to the park entrance. Nicely furnished and clean. Helpful to know the cabin description is a bit dated. The amenities like coffee, s’mores, brownies and wine are no more, but the host will let you know where to purchase locally. The grounds are somewhat disheveled, the fire pit by the stream has been crushed by a fallen tree some time ago, and renovation projects like old demo from gutter replacement are stashed around back. Like family and friends that stay you’ll need to pitch in. Two loads of towels still needed dried, folded and put away when we arrived, trashcans on the deck and small cabin were full, and when the kitchen sink backed up on our last day there was no word from our host. These were all letdowns but not deal killers. We still enjoyed our time here and the beauty of Rainier puts these small disappointments in perspective.

Excellent mountain cabin
Great mountain cabin. Peaceful creek runs along it and plenty of room for large family with spacious kitchen, living room, and deck. Plus extra touches that aren't normal at rentals, for example best movie collection we've seen by far.

A perfect get-away
Every year 8 of us who met in our 30s... and now in 50s... meet up for a mountain holiday. This was by far our favorite place with the river rolling by, sitting on the porch swing with cups of coffee, the hottub and outdoor fire pits. We had more than enough room, all the amenities we needed, and easy access to Rainer hiking (although it was hard to leave the cabin). High marks all around!

Wonderful Cabin!!
This property is amazing! It had everything we needed for our 4 night stay. Having access to both cabins made our stay extremely comfortable for 4 adults. The view was wonderful with the creek and trees, very peaceful! Definitely would stay here again! Make sure to check your emails for your stays directions - the one sent by VRBO was outdated!!

Perfect Mountain getaway
The house is beautiful and spacious, on a beautiful little creek. We had no trouble finding the place in it’s quiet neighborhood, which is closely located to the Mount Rainer entrance.

Perfect location to explore Mt. Ranier
The house was cozy and well appointed. The internet was spotty - there were actually a few days where we had to live without it and cell phone coverage is not good in that part of the country. Luckily, there were a ton of movies, books and guide books so we just lived off the land, liken olden times! The hot tub was a great place to come home to, the beds were comfortable, the creek relaxing. the kitchen had everything we needed and we appreciated the coffee and tea selection. We highly recommend!

Very impressed with cabin. perfect for our large family, with two adults able to stay in the adjoining smaller cabin. Nice setting with creek in back, and seclusion in woods. Convenient location for a day trip to Mt Rainier National Park.

Wonderful Winter Getaway!!
Beautiful cabin, clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the fully stocked kitchen appliances. The beds and pillows were so comfortable. The only problem was the ladder to the bunk beds. We chose this cabin because we have 2 boys and knew they would love the bunk beds. The ladder was completely disconnected from the top bunk and was extremely dangerous to use. My husband found some rope to tie it up so we could use it and have a bed for our son. Other than that, great experience.

Top Notch Vacation Home
This home is fantastic. The ambiance is perfect mountain getaway! Close to the entrance to Mt. Rainier NP, the property is idyllic. A gurgling stream, a hot tub, a firepit and privacy all combine to give great satisfaction. The house is well stocked. Nothing has been neglected. We really enjoyed our stay.

Great Family Vacation
We had a great time as a Family meeting up with family from Washington, Oregon, and Utah. Perfect place to escape from the heat, smoke, and busy lives. We went on many hikes and road trips into Mt. Rainier National Park just minutes from the cabin. We really enjoyed our stay and everything was just as advertised. Thank you for helping make our family vacation great.

Great house near Mt. Rainier
Our group of 8 women have been making annual hiking trips together for 13 years. This was our first time at Mt. Rainier. And we loved this property. It is located near the SW entrance to Rainier so very easy to get to the park early. It is very well equipped and the kitchen / dining area is great for group meals. The stream behind the house provides a quiet and relaxing place to unwind. The property is well maintained and very clean. We would definitely recommend it.

We loved the property and fire pits, swings and river is wonderful. I would expect an axe for the fire pits. We really did have a great trip. It needs some updating of furnishings. Hide abed was falling apart. Towel rack missing shower curtain in back room not good. Need new flower arrangements very old and dusty looking. No sponge for kitchen. It is things that need just a bit of updating.

Breathtaking! The cabins are gorgeous and very well kept. Awesome game collection. Had everything!
We took our kids for a much needed getaway and our expectations were far exceeded! From booking to the time we left, everything was amazingly simple and wonderful! It was our first time using Vrbo and I can't imagine booking future vacations any other way.

Wonderful cabin getaway
Beautiful cabin in the mountains. The property was beautiful and peaceful. I loved sitting on the porch swing and watching the river. The cabin accommodations were perfect for our family (me, my husband and our 4 kids). My parents also came and stayed in the extra cabin. Both cabins were well furnished and stocked. The kitchen had everything you could need. We will definitely be going up and staying again.

We had a fantastic time at this property! We saw deer every day and enjoyed having s’mores by the fire at night. I had coffee overlooking the creek every morning which was so peaceful. This was very close proximity to Mt Rainier NP and is secluded from neighbors. The owner had great communication. Amazing place! You won’t regret staying here!

Fantastic log home as our base camp
This lovely home is situated in a quiet, wooded neighborhood, next to a beautiful creek, Paradise Creek. We had the master bedroom window cracked open at night and the sound of the brooke lulled us to sleep The kitchen is very well equipped (better than most vacation homes we have experienced), esp the beautiful bone china place settings. The house is a short drive to Mt Rainier which made it easy for us to enter the park early to beat the Labor Day weekend crowd. Ryan was very responsive, addressed my questions within hours. He even offer us access to Mulan, which was a big hit for our family. Thank you Ryan! Overall, we had a wonderful time and will definitely stay here again.

The best amenities we have ever experienced
Of course it is a beautiful family cabin, clean and well designed. But that is just the start. There is a big jar of candy waiting for you, and a fabulous selection of spices, coffee, oil and vinegar, choices of scents for the bathrooms and candles everywhere. There are two different fire pits, three love-seat swings, the sound of the creek plays backdrop everywhere and the deer come out at twilight to eat at the feeding station. We used their hot tub, played their games, watched their movies, ate inside at their lovely table, ate outside on the deck and sang songs around the campfire. All this and two gorgeous days at Mount Rainier National Park, too. It was above and beyond, and we will plan to stay there again!

Absolutely lovely
This cabin was perfect! Great open floorplan, huge deck overlooking the creek, hot tub, extra casita for my parents, yard for the kids to play, and located near the entrance to Mt Rainier National Park. Communication with Ryan, the host, was second to none. Helpful, personable, available. Probably one of the best vacation rentals I've ever stayed at. The host provides quite a few amenities, and the checkout process couldn't be easier. We really enjoyed ourselves. It was hard to leave. Multiple people in my family mentioned they would rent this place again for their future family vacations.

A memorable wedding
Ryan is a great host, no doubt. The Henderson Hideaway is in a beautiful spot and is a perfectly equipped home away from home. Ryan helped us with a few special needs associated with the wedding, and having a separate cabin for another couple was a plus. The kitchen is terrific, and even the wine he left us was top notch. Great place, great host, we will return!

Great Family Vacation Place
I can't say enough good things about this property. My whole family agreed it was the nicest place we've stayed on our annual national park vacations. The setting is so serene with woods and a bubbling creek right beside the property. The large outdoor deck, the two fire pits, the swings, the great hot tub, the immaculate guest cabin, and the main cabin were all perfect! The main cabin has all the amenities you could want. Ryan even has a vinyl record collection for you to enjoy. We highly recommend this property!

Voted Vacation’s Favorite Location
My extended family (me, my brother, teenage nephew and 2 teenage nieces) all loved this place. And all thought it was the best place we stayed on our two week vacation touring the Pacific Northwest. The location is really peaceful and relaxing. We were greeted upon arrival by a doe and her two fawns, and several other deer stopped by over the two days we were there. We had everything we needed to cook meals, and we enjoyed s’mores and ghost stories around one of the fire pits one night. The set up was great, and Ryan provided us with all of the information we needed to enjoy the property and Ashford.

Warm and welcoming.
Over the years I have rented various vacation homes for our hiking group this was the best overall. The home and canon are beautifully appointed with an emphasis on comfort. The equipment is very well stocked, hot tub was sparking clean and Ryan is the nicest host, very accommodating. The deck has plenty of seating to enjoy the crystal creek below. And the location is very convenient to the Nisqually entrance. We hope to return again!

Great Stay
We really enjoyed our stay at this property. Only 2 nights - wish it could have been longer. Property was just as nice as the pictures indicate. It was also very well appointed - everything you need was there. We also saw deer on the property both mornings that we were there. Would definitely stay at this property again if we return to Mt Rainier.
