Such a great piece of paradise!

Everything was perfect and as stated. All the little extras to make us feel welcome, as well. Close to town and such a comfortable space. Great communication with renter. Highly recommend!!

Superb location - awkward beds

This property is in an ideal location for enjoying downtown Ashland and the house is well kept and furnished. My son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren (17 and 19) very much enjoyed our visit. I highly recommend a stay here with one qualification. The queen beds were much too soft and too tall. A short stool would be quite helpful.

A Great Week in Ashland

My wife and I travel with another couple every year and this time we chose Ashland. This rental was fabulous! It's a very cute Victorian that is close to the plays and Lithia Park. Off-street parking, large dining room table, and welcoming hosts. The bedrooms are upstairs so if you have mobility limitations that might be a concern. I especially liked the welcome card-- nice touch!

Fantastic house and stay!

We came to Ashland to celebrate our daughter's graduation and had 6 in our party. There were plenty of comfortable beds so no one had to share. There is a beautiful outdoor area that was the perfect place for us to gather, the kitchen well appointed, everything pristine and the toilets were fancy. It's also in the perfect location to walk down town and at Lithia Park.

Nice Victorian

Perfect location. Good kitchen amenities - we stayed over NY's and wanted to cook a family dinner. Plenty of space for everyone.

Our 6th year here - fabulous as always

This is the best place to stay in Ashland! Close and I mean really close to theater, shops, restaurants- Never need a car. Outfitted with everything you would need, clean, inviting and all out great, great, great. Owners are great- cannot say enough about the Victorian Secret- Stay here and you will not be disappointed.

Fourth visit

We enjoy this house so mush that we just finished our 4th annual week long visit. Its perfectly located, quiet, parking, walkable to everything, and very well equipped. It is and feels like a home rather than a rental. We'll be back.

Great Location: Easy Walk to Plays, Dining, Shops.

The VS is in as good a location as you can get for visiting Ashland. It's a half block from the main drag, easy walking distance to all major places, including the theaters. There's a bit more noise than some places because of the urban location, but the convenience is worth the tradeoff. We (two senior couples) stayed in the main house and did not use the out building. The house is nicely appointed and stocked. Pretty, with all the gadgets you need. Nice bright kitchen. There's a also a large dining area and small front sitting room. The A/C works well. There's a delightful sitting area behind the house in a small grove of bamboo. Excellent communication from the owners; easy booking. The factors that kept us from assigning five stars were two: First, despite the description, there is only one shower, which can slow morning preparation--especially when there are four older folks for whom a the other option, a claw-footed tub, is not an easy option. Second, the beds are tall enough to be a bit hard to get into. There's a soft foam pad on the top of the beds. Not ideal for those who like a bit of firmness or who aren't gymnasts. (One of the rooms had a step stool, which was a help.)

Great location

Very charming, great location. We were disappointed, though, that the upstairs bathroom no longer had a shower with the bathtub. I don't believe that has been noted in the VRBO listing. It made mornings a little challenging with Two couples.

The Victorian Secret - always a pleasure!

We've stayed here many times. Communication with the owner was excellent; the house is very clean and pleasant. The location can't be beat. Count us in as repeat visitors in the future!

Victorian Secret

Have stayed in this home many years in a row. Downtown is right around the corner. This home is not for people who can't climb up and down stairs. Other than that very comfortable and we enjoyed our stay as we have for many years.

Location, location, location

The house was lovely, but truly the best part of the stay was the close proximity to downtown Ashland and theaters. Just a few blocks to walk, which was key for my elderly mother. The kitchen was well-equipped for eating meals in. Enjoyed our stay and will come back!

Great Downtown Location

The Victorian Secret is located right in the heart of downtown. The house is well cared for and nicely decorated. It is a stones throw from many fine restaurants. This will be a repeat for us indeed!

Victorian Vibe

The Victoria Secret is in the best location for downtown Ashland, very will cleaned with lots of charm and special touches. Steps to the upstairs are somewhat steep and something to consider for those who have challenges at the end of a long day of walking. Bathrooms are well situated upstairs and downstairs (1 each). The owners and house keeper are responsive and communicate well. Highly recommend spending your stay in Ashland at the Victorian Secret!

Great location

We loved staying at Victorian Secrets. It worked great for two couples. The house was comfortable for us. When we were at the house we spent most of our time on the patio in the bamboo garden. We only used the car once. Everything was in walking distance for us, theater, restaurants, parks, shopping. We will be back. Thanks

As always- Simply wonderful!!!

This is year 4 for us in September and I have already reserved year 5. Everything you could want in a house- and the cottage is an extra treat. This one really is close to the theaters and walking distance to all restaurants and shops. Julie is attentive and fantastic- responses in minutes! Everything you need in the kitchen, clean, comfortable beds, new furniture in the living room. No negatives at all. thanks for a great stay and we are booked for next year.

perfect place in Ashland

this is our third week long stay here and love the place. it gets better with each stay, more amenities, comforts and new little things like soft sheets, a quaint remodel of the back yard cabin, and the very comfortable back patio covered by a bamboo canopy. Rather than a simple rental, this house is truly a comfortable home, obviously livable, well taken care of, with an excellently equipped kitchen, sharp knives (!), and gadgets for those like us who like to cook. We’ll be back.

Awesome rental!

My family loved staying at the Victorian Secret! The house was very clean, well appointed, and super close to the theatre, shopping, and restaurants. Beds were a little bit high (thick mattresses, a small step stool is provided) and very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pots/pans, and small appliances. Bathrooms were good sized, especially the upstairs one. Julie always responded quickly to questions. The house is 1/2 block off of the main street in Ashland, but there was little traffic in front of the house and the neighborhood was quiet. I would highly recommend the Victorian Secret!

Lovely house, well maintained and cozy. Great location near the theatres

We had a great time in this beautiful house. The cottage in the back yard is lovely too. We appreciated the well stocked kitchen for cooking and the comfortable beds. We've stayed here before and always enjoy it.

Charming House and Great Hosts!

The house is in a fantastic location. Two minute walk from restaurants and 5 minutes from the theaters. The weather was very warm and the house was a comfortable 72 degrees when we arrived. A/C worked great and the ceiling fans in the living room and bedrooms were greatly appreciated. The only negative to the house for us was the bathroom locations. The two bedrooms are on the second floor but one of the bathrooms is on the first floor. So if you have two couples (as we did), one of the couples has to use the downstairs bathroom. For us this was a minor issue, but some people might find it to be a nuisance. The house is super charming and cozy, with comfy and tasteful furniture that adds to its character. The kitchen and bathrooms are very functional. Our hosts were very friendly and called to check in and make sure we were taken care of. At one point, we had a power surge that knocked out the a/c. We called our hosts and they had someone out to fix it within an hour. Overall, I would recommend this to anyone who needs this size place and wants to be close to the theaters and restaurants. We have already reserved it for next year.

Beautiful historic home
