A dreamy modern home under a canopy of century-old oak trees, steps from a natural lake and minutes from wine country. A paradise for hikers, cyclists, runners, wine lovers, and like us, dog lovers. Come with your family and friends, we have a retreat space for you that’s near to everything.

THE NEIGHBORHOOD
Located in a family-friendly neighborhood, nestled among majestic old oak trees in the rolling hills of West Atascadero, this modern two-story home is just minutes from Route 101 and walking distance to the Lake, Park and Zoo. Take a stroll to the Atascadero Lake Park and enjoy a concert every Saturday during the summer and festivities throughout the year. Bring the kids to the zoo to see the exotic animals. Or get in some exercise with a jog or walk around the lake or cycling in the neighborhood. Take a two-minute drive into town and grab a fresh croissant at Back Porch Bakery or Hush Harbor, local coffee at Bru, a glass of local zinfandel at Fossil wine bar or a craft beer at the rooftop bar at Cielo, Atascadero’s newest restaurant and bar. Shop in Atascadero’s adorable budding downtown. Check out the latest flick at the Colony Cinemas. Go wine tasting in Paso Robles or Templeton (just 15 minutes away), zip-lining in Santa Margarita, shopping in SLO or relax on one of the gorgeous beaches of Morro Bay, Avila Beach or Cayucos, just 20 minutes away. It’s a perfect central location to explore the area... and, of course, over 200+ wineries in the Paso Robles AVA.

This spacious (3,200+ sf), fully outfitted home boasts 4 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms, a large living room, spectacular dining room, and a fully equipped kitchen, along with loads of amenities including a hot tub, BBQ, fire pit, pool table, and a large patio...perfect for dining al fresco with the entire gang. It’s an excellent getaway for 2 to 4 couples, one or two small families with kids or a group of friends for a wine-themed, Central Coast weekend. The yard is completely fenced in and we’re pet friendly!

The area provides great routes for cycling, running, hiking, and exploring by the day, and numerous fine dining options at night including several Michelin guide restaurants.

The house features a Tesla wall charger with a provided J1772 adapter for non-Tesla EVs, allowing owners of electric vehicles to travel with complete peace of mind.

SLEEPING ACCOMMODATIONS
The Master Suite features a king bed with a custom wooden accent wall and direct access to the backyard patio and stairs heading to the hot tub. The ensuite bath has dual vanities, a large soaking tub and walk-in shower. Hang out in the bedroom and watch the news or a good movie on the 50” Smart TV.

Bedroom 2 has a king bed and a dedicated desk with an available 27” monitor for those who mix work with their play.

Bedroom 3 offers a queen bed and direct access to the side patio. These two bedrooms share Bathroom 2 with a single vanity and a huge walk-in shower. All three bedrooms are on the ground floor and have ceiling fans.

Head upstairs to Bedroom 4…and welcome to the kids’ domain! (Big kids too!) Perfect for a full family, this room features a queen bed, a twin-XL bed and a twin daybed with a trundle bed. There is also a dedicated desk for remote work, along with a 40” smart TV that can double as a monitor. Bathroom 3 is upstairs and has a single vanity with a tub/shower combination.

The whole house sleeps eleven people very comfortably.

LIVING & ENTERTAINING (Interior)
Walk through the front door and you are greeted by a bright and spacious living room with a huge sectional with seating for 6+. Two comfortable side chairs flanking the sectional and padded ottomans add seating for four more make the space cozy and comfortable. Relax and enjoy some of your favorite TV shows on the 75” smart TV, loaded with Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, Chromecast, Disney+, HBO Max, and Hulu. Netflix is included on all TVs, and you can use other streaming accounts of your own to watch movies and other favorite entertainment.

The fully equipped kitchen has a large island with the 4-burner cooktop, oven, and seating for 4 on bar stools. The kitchen is fully updated with stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, a French door fridge with bottom freezer, dishwasher, microwave oven/air fryer, Instant Pot, and walk-in pantry. The dining area, adjacent to the kitchen, has a large, custom-made, live edge wooden dining table and seating for 10. Just outside the sliding glass doors is another patio with seating for 4 and the BBQ. There’s a full laundry room too!

Upstairs there are fun play spaces for the kids. A kid-sized playroom has toys and a circus tent along, and a menagerie of jungle animals on the walls. They can spend hours playing in their little playroom or sitting on the bean bag in the cubby on the top landing playing games on their iPads or reading books.

For the adults, there’s a billiards room on the finished side of the garage and a cornhole set available for outdoor play.

The house is equipped for remote work as well, including two separate workstations and high-speed internet (300 Mbps) on an Eero mesh network for coverage throughout the property.

LIVING & ENTERTAINING (Exterior)
Just off the living room is the massive outdoor patio with 2 dining tables and seating for 10. Next to the dining tables is a lounge area with seating for 4 around the propane fire pit. Out the sliding glass doors from the dining room side of the house there’s a table for 4. Off the back of the house through the master bedroom there is another lounge are with seating for four. Just outside the master bedroom door, under the overhang there’s a table for 2…the perfect spot to have your morning coffee.

Going up the illuminated “stairway to heaven” in the backyard leads you to a four-person hot tub. It’s the perfect magical spot to sit and soak among the oaks and the star-filled skies at night.

GUEST AMENITIES
We provide personal amenities including soap, shampoo, conditioner and body lotion, paper products, kitchen necessities such as dish soap and trash bags. There are plenty of linens and bath towels. Laundry facilities and detergent are both in the laundry area. The kitchen is also stocked with the essential staples: coffee, tea, olive oil, vinegar, salt, pepper and spices. There is dinner service for 12 as well as plenty of serving necessities.

THE IMMEDIATE AREA
This home is just a peaceful half-block walk down tree-lined streets to Atascadero Lake Park with its playground and the Charles Paddock Zoo. Or take a 5-minute drive to downtown Atascadero with its hip new coffee shops, wine-tasting rooms, bars, a distillery, restaurants, great local shops, and a craft brewery or three. The Atascadero Lake Park offers free summer concerts from June through August every Saturday night. Pack a picnic basket, a bottle of wine or two, your beach chairs and enjoy local musicians belting out everything from jazz to rock and blues.

PROVISIONS
Vons is the nearest grocer, located 5 minutes away on El Camino Real. Just 5 miles up the 101 on Vineyard Drive in Templeton is a Trader Joe’s. While at the Trader Joe's you can pick up some fresh caught fish at Pier 46 Fish Market or grass-fed local meats at J&R Meats.

ACTIVITIES
Wine, beer and spirits tasting, hot air ballooning, horseback riding, golf, water park, jeep rides, ziplining, hiking, nature walks, Animal Zoo, Farmer's Markets, concerts at Vina Robles Amphitheatre, spas, beaches — Morro Bay, Avila Beach, Pismo Beach, Cayucos and Cambria. Then there’s Hearst Castle, and to the East is Creston, Parkfield and Santa Margarita...take your pick. And if you’re into wheeled adventures, the cycling, motorcycling and sporty driving opportunities are confirmed world-class. There are endless options to play until your heart's content.

FOR THOSE WHO BRING THEIR PETS, WE HAVE A FEW RULES:
1.) No pets on any furniture ever!
2.) No pets can be left unattended inside the house unless in a crate.
3.) You must clean up after they do their business outside.
4.) There is a $100 pet fee for 2 pets. (if more than 2 pets, there is a $50 fee for the additional pet - 3 max)

PLEASE NOTE! You will be required to sign a Digs Vacation Rentals rental agreement for booking this property. By booking you are agreeing to pay a Property Damage Protection non-refundable insurance fee of $33 (or $25)/night to cover any property damages up to $10,000 with $1,000,000 (or $100,000) in personal liability coverage. Further explanation of this insurance can be found in your Digs Vacation Rentals rental agreement.

There will also be a 4% credit card/processing fee charged for any cancellations regardless of when cancellation occurs.

This home was so very lovely. They thought of everything to make your stay comfortable. From the minute we walked in we felt welcomed and comfortable. The home is large and spacious and would have easily housed our family of 10. Unfortunately half of our group got Covid the day before and had to cancel. So it was very spacious for the 3 adults and two kiddos. The upstairs was like a dream for the kids, with a wonderful room and play area. Every detail was thought of from doggy towels to clean their feet, dog beds and food bowls. Toys in the play area, high chair for the little ones. No detail was forgotten. The beds were extremely comfortable with different pillows to fit any comfort level. We had no hot water the night we arrived and had to call the rental company at 9pm. I felt terrible calling so late, however they called me right back and found the solution within 10 minutes!! EXCELLENT!! Our daughter recently moved to Atascadero and we have now found our place to stay when visiting. If I were to offer one critique it would be the outdoor furniture, cushions and pillows were not clean, so we didn't take advantage of the many wonderful patio areas. Hoping that will be better for our next visit. This is by far the most thoughtful home we have ever stayed in. Well done!

Aunts and uncles gathered to attend a graduation at SLO and the house was perfect. Couples had their own space and we all came together at their beautiful long dining table next to the open kitchen so we could cook, BBQ and celebrate. Pool table was a fun addition! House is just off 101, and trip was easy. SLO was packed so the house was a perfect escape, but close enough to be easy.

This rental property is in a great location, convenient to most activities in the area and the house itself could be a great space to gather if upon arrival it was prepared for guests! The interior of the property was full of cobwebs, spiders and dusty. We had to sanitize to use it! Some of the linen/comforters were dirty and we had to wash before sleeping in the beds and by day two we had to purchase bug spray because of the spiders infestation all around entire house! The exterior was the most disappointing, we could not enjoy outside amenities in the beautiful advertised outdoor space because it was covered in cobwebs and very dirty! The backyard space had not been cleaned in many months and was full of debris, spider webs and again in order to grill and sit in the space we had to clean up the space, taking away from quality time with our family that had traveled a long way. Basically, this property lacks tender loving care and was not ready for guests as advertised and this accounts for the very low rating.

Very nice and spacious house that fulfilled our expectations. The location is in a nice quiet neighborhood - only thing to watch out for are some potholes in the street. Everything was great including very large driveway and plenty of room to relax.

Me and my family and friends had a wonderful time staying here. The place was clean and well-organized. The check-in booklet was very detailed, and many things throughout the house were labeled to ensure proper use. The property is in a good location, close to grocery stores and restaurants, but away from the main road to prevent noise. Having an EV charger available was very helpful. The owners were diligent in replying to questions through the VRBO website about the check in process. The fully stocked kitchen was made good use of. Clean appliances, lots of dishes, pots, and pans, and two types of coffee makers (drip and Nespresso). The dining table was big enough to fit our entire group. Bedrooms were clean, we're very picky and didn't see any issues with the condition of the sheets or towels. I like that they provided soaps, shampoos, and lotions in the bathroom, along with separate towels for the hot tub. The game room with the pool table was really nice, though it would have been nice to be able to enter from inside the house rather than the front (near driveway). The play room upstairs was in constant use, the kids loved it! The adjacent bedroom and bathroom was also very convenient for the kids. The hot tub, though a bit of a walk up the steps in the backyard, was also clean and well-kept, so we definitely made use of that. Overall, definitely an amazing place, and we will definitely look into renting it again next time we are in town!

There were 6 adults, 3 children and 1 dog. There was plenty of room in the kitchen, living room, bedrooms and outside to accommodate us all. We were extremely happy with the cleanliness and care of the pots, knives etc as in our past rentals, they have not been. I will say a couple of the pans (9x13) was very scratched as well as the sheet pan! But that’s the fault of other renters! The location was perfect and we were able to walk to the local park for the kids to play! Overall, we had a wonderful family vacation and I would love to come back!

I had the responsibility of finding a house to accommodate 11 (50+ year old) women who wanted to go wine tasting for the weekend. Came across this house. It was the perfect size even tho it turned out to be only 8 of us. The beds were comfy, plenty of towels, just enough seating and close enough to the grocery store to buy snacks. The wineries were only about a 10 minute drive. We liked that the driveway was large enough to fit our 4 cars. It could probably fit about 6 cars. We arrived early and Kathy was nice enough to let us leave our things at the house prior to check in. We went and had lunch and then went to the grocery store before we finally checked in. The neighborhood is quiet and felt safe. The only downside was we didn’t get to use the pool table. It was in a separate room and the door was locked. We didn’t know the code to unlock it. The light in the hall bath didn’t work. My friends did say they wish the outdoor tables were clean and ready for use.. overall we did enjoy the house tho.

Our stay was for a wedding at the Atascadero Lake, so the location was very convenient. We had originally planned to bring our dogs, but were able to make arrangements so we wouldn't have to. Kathy confirmed with us regarding the dogs so we were not charged. This house is straight out of a home decor magazine! We picked it for the natural light and were hoping to use it for the bridesmaids to get ready,but that didn't really pan out. It was too much house for my husband and I, but we plan to rent again when return in July and bring family with us. The kitchen is well stocked and had dishes and coffee, the two necessities for us. The couch is very comfortable as is the bed in the master bedroom. The master bathroom is large and has a large soaking tub (we didn't get a chance to use it!) If you get a chance to stay here, I encourage you to do it. Just not the weekend we want to stay!

Property is well located with close access to central coast wine region as well as the coast. The property is spacious well appointed, well stocked with most things you would need and very clean. Urn appeal is limited by bare landscaping and potholes in the road pleading up to property, hopefully something they would be remedied soon as the winter rains subside. Kathy, our super host was quick to respond to any queries we had.
