Beautiful Neighborhood
This was the perfect landing spot for my daughter and I as we visited family. We loved the neighborhood and the cottage was perfect for the two of us.

Week to see family in Atlanta
We stayed here to visit our daughter for the week. I thought the property was great. Nice neighborhood, convenient to the town square yet out of the way. The cottage was just the right size for two. However, our check-in was odd. The manager didn't expect us and didn't act like she even had vrbo rentals. I don't know if that's a vrbo issue (she later said we were expected a day later) or not.

I agree that check-in was confusing, I don’t think you read any of the check-in instructions because you didn’t know which rental you were staying in. You knocked on the front door of the main house and said that’s where you were supposed to be staying and I knew that wasn’t true, so I wasn’t sure what you were talking about. Once we figured out, you actually had a reservation in the cottage it all made sense. There are detailed check-in instructions given after a reservation is completed. In the future, I would make sure to read these directions.

Quiet & Private
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The cottage was located in a private backyard. The home is at the end of a dead end street. Located neat Decatur Square and Oakhurst - many wonderful restaurants and a short drive to Atalanta’s museums, zoo etc.

Great location
We were visiting our daughter and this was a 5 minute walk through a very nice neighborhood to get to her apartment. Also an easy 10 - 15 minute walk to downtown Decatur. Cottage does tend to be a bit dark, but it was lovely sitting on the front porch listening to all the birds and the neighborhood was very quiet. As a matter of personal taste, the mattress was too soft for us, if you have back issues that could be a problem.

Cozy Cabin in Welcome Location
This little cabin is in Dawn's back yard. The beds are cozy, the place is clean and had everything we needed for our short stay. We will definitely book again when we come to visit our daughter. Our little dog Darla was intrigued by Biscuit and Cocoa! Can't wait till they get to reunite ❤

Cute garden getaway
We enjoyed our stay. Dawn was welcoming & easily available if we needed, and the little cottage is a cute tiny house with all the amenities we needed. And with a larger bathroom & nicer shower than most tiny houses can boast! We look forward to another visit.

Thank you for your hospitality.
Though I was having an issue with a different VRBO listing simultaneously Dawn was responsive to me about the issue and supportive. I appreciate her hospitality very much and would be happy to stay there again! The trampoline was awesome for our eight-year-old as well.

Quaint Cabin
What a nice little oasis just blocks from downtown Decatur. After parking, you step through the portico and open a door into the backyard and there you see the accommodations! A nicely laid stone path guides you to the front door of the cabin. Once inside you find everything is laid out perfectly, even a small kitchen should you choose to cook. The bathroom is nice, large shower, separate water closet, and a nice sink and vanity. The bed was super comfortable and the towels so soft!! We enjoyed our stay and trying out different restaurants downtown.

Didn’t really like it
Cabin is cute as a button, but not 5 star, maybe 3. There was food in the fridge from previous people. There were very large Palmetto bugs inside and some ants in the loft. It had obviously not been cleaned between visitors except maybe bed linens. Not much lighting. And to get to it you have to squeeze through the owners cars. I nearly fell the first day trying to get around the cars on uneven ground. I booked it for myself and my two boys thinking they would love the trampoline in the picture. But they didn’t feel comfortable using it since the owners dogs came at us one day when trying to get to the cabin and the next day she stops us and says “I thought it was just you staying here” right in front of them. They thought she was unhappy they were there. The reservation clearly said 3 of us. We were only staying temporarily while we found somewhere to stay longer. When my youngest woke up screaming in the middle of the night because a 2 inch palmetto bug was in the bed we decided to find a local hotel to finish our stay. It was just too rustic for our taste.

I am very upset about this review because it is completely false. I confronted this woman because she rented my cottage and was leaving her two children here alone overnight while she worked. I was not comfortable with that. Also, I have a extraordinarily sweet golden doodle and a small eight week old puppy so I am so sorry if they were threatened by them at any point. Hopefully people will over look this review and see the many others I have gotten that are five star. You cannot please everyone.

Great place to stay
This was our second trip to the cottage. Our daughter lives a few miles away and this is the perfect place. It is clean cozy and dog friendly.

Great for having dogs
Location was great. My only compliant is we're not use to window a/c and it was noisy right next to the bed. Also went to make a cocktail and the ice trays were empty of ice in the freezer.

I’m sorry that you found the AC unit to be noisy but it is the quietest one on the market. Also in the description I say that there is a window ac unit. The main heating and air unit in the living room area heats and cools the entire cottage so the window unit in the bedroom is just for people who like to have it extra cold.

Lovely cottage
My husband and I stayed with our doggy and we had a wonderful stay. Cottage is adorable and the yard is perfect for dogs or kids to run around in. Dawn is very easy to talk to and communication was fabulous. No complaints!!

Cute Cottage With a Great Location
We enjoyed our stay at the Decatur City Cottage. It's a small, cozy little place that reminded us of staying at a cabin in the woods. The location can't be beat which makes it even more perfect - 1 mile from Agnes Scott, downtown Decatur, etc.. - and it's a very nice and safe neighborhood.

A Great Find!!
I visit my niece who lives just a few streets over. I always prefer to find my own place. Cottage is adorable, comfortable and tastefully done. Lovely. Great fenced in yard for my dog. Initially I was concerned about parking on the street but was perfect. Dawn was available for any questions. I am grateful to have found this lovely cottage when I visit my niece.

Decatur City Cottage
We love staying at Decatur City Cottage! It is a special place to us and we reserve it often, so we can visit family nearby. Dawn and Jennifer are wonderful and warm hosts. They are like friends, now. The Cottage is a cozy getaway place in a lovely and tranquil neighborhood. But it is close to everything and very convenient - great walkabiity. . We highly recommend it!

Charming Decatur Cottage

Great Place in Decatur
We stayed in this lovely spot for a weekend. Very close to downtown Decatur. The place was just right for our needs. The bed was very comfortable!! We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will return when we visit Atlanta and Decatur.

Sweet little cottage
Stayed here with my daughter for a couple of days; she's a student at Agnes Scott and was having some health issues so I flew in to do some doctor visits together. This little gem was everything we needed and Dawn was a gracious host! Cozy but space enough to cuddle up and watch a movie together on the couch (Netflix, Roku and several other choices available); breakfast snacks and coffee/ tea provided with the kitchenette; beautiful yard with an outdoor table for socializing. Bed was comfy, shower was wonderful. This is in a lovely neighborhood and we enjoyed walking to the Square (Jeni's ice cream, Little Shop of Stories, Starbucks, etc.) Truly reinforced why we love Decatur. Will definitely stay here again the next time we're in town!

We loved it - plan to return!
Neat, well furnished and clean cottage. Very quiet and peaceful. Our ten year old loved the loft, and the TV options. We liked the layout and privacy despite it's size. We hope to return again soon. Thanks for a great stay!

Cute, Clean and Convenient
It's hard finding a good dog-friendly rental, but I feel like we hit the jackpot with this one. Super cute, terrific renovation that looks better in person than the photos indicate. Generous amenites (read: snacks!) were a welcome touch. Comfy bed too. Convenient to downtown Decatur (~15 min walk) and a great neighborhood to walk the dog in. Would stay here again next time we need to travel to Decatur.

We had a wonderful three night stay in Dawn's cottage. Everything was provided that we needed and even had snacks and coffee/tea available. It was very nice and quiet and would definitely come back and recommend it to others coming to the East Atlanta area!

Wonderful space! Relaxing and welcoming
Thank you to Dawn & family for making our two night stay in Decatur GA so pleasant! It was very easy to find, the hosts were welcoming and we were within walking distance to DT Decatur and MARTA (rail system). The cottage is cozy and set up so well, it felt more spacious than larger places we have stayed in the past. We recommend this beautiful, relaxing cottage to anyone staying in the Decatur GA area!

A wonderful oasis in Decatur
I highly recommend this wonderful little cottage in Decatur! Located just outside of downtown Decatur, Dawn provides everything that you could possibly need for a wonderful stay in her carriage house. The house is charming inside and out! Great place for a family!
We loved the Decatur Cottage! The cottage was small but efficient. It did not lack anything my family of four needed. My kids loved the nook. The bed was comfortable, linens were all luxurious, and the hosts accommodating. Dawn was so sweet and stocked the cottage with lots of goodies and necessities. The location is 15 mins to Atlanta, 15 mins to Stone Mountian, and close to lots of shopping and restaurants. Highly recommended.
