The resort itself is nice. The issues started upon check in. We arrived around 1pm were informed it would be less than an hour for the room. The hotel does not allow use of hotel facilities, until you have your room. We waited patiently since they indicated less than an hour. Four hours later, as we witnessed over a hundred individuals receive their room, I then inquired again. They stated my room was not ready & I had to wait. Another hour, 5 hours later, again no room is ready. All I could imagine was that anyone booking thru platforms like Expedia are left as a last resort for check in. I am traveling with a small child, who had been waiting in excess of 7 hours & this was unacceptable at this point. Then they stated they found a room, but it was a higher floor & typically there’s to be an up charge. There was ZERO consideration towards the circumstances, ZERO apologies. Upon entering the room, one could visually see the deteriorating condition of the room didn’t match the lobby. The rooms are need of repair & a facelift. Hair on the floor & bathroom, as if the floor was quickly wiped but not cleaned. No blankets, limited towels. Restaurants extremely overpriced & horrible food. Pool was so cloudy and staff inattentive. I will NEVER return! It was not a good experience.
