The owner has some feedback about your stay: “Thank you for your positive comments; we really appreciate your feedback to help us improve. As it is our desire for all of our guests to have a pleasant experience and receive all that is expected. - Unfortunately, the heat index was over 100 degrees this year, which is warmer than usual, even for this time of year. The air conditioning that is available probably was not as efficient, considering the high humidity. Consequently, we did add an additional unit that is able to adapt to all conditions. So just to note, at no time was there no A/C present on the property. - The lake views have been noted by other guests to be spectacular, and depending on the time of year, access is better than other times. Most notably, at all times of the year, the lake views are full and excellent from the skylights. Again, thank you for your review and your comment about cleanliness, excellent location, and privacy on this property, and we have made adjustments accordingly to better improve our property. We certainly don't wish to mislead future guests, and hopefully, this feedback will help others. We would love to have you back at any time."

Sloan, We're sorry to hear that you didn't fully enjoy your stay at this wonderful home. We have passed along your feedback to the homeowner, and we would like to share the following: -The property clearly states that it is near the lake, and we do not advertise it as being directly on the lake. -We also note that the property does not have direct lake access in the listing description. -Additionally, we provide instructions upon arrival stating the check-in procedures and the property rules, which specifically say that guests are not allowed to use the stairs going to the lake. There are also several signs that are posted around the property saying renters are not allowed to go there. -Law enforcement was called because these rules were broken, and the neighbors noticed your group was trespassing. -A trailer is not required for transporting the kayaks, and a boat launch and dock are available close by. We can also confirm there are three kayaks. -No lawsuits are pending towards the homeowner. -We use recent, professional pictures of the property to accurately portray inside and out. We also have professionals write the listing description- this way guests can know what to expect before arrival. As evidenced by other reviews, we are confident many future travelers will enjoy their stay at this lovely home!

In all fairness, however, there were plenty of opportunities to reach out and ask questions before full commitment to this booking; for instance, cancellation could have been arranged as this was booked well in advance. This has happened in the past, and either a guest was accommodated, or they chose not to proceed w the booking. To the contrary of the many complaints regarding the atmosphere and ambiance, we have had many positive comments in the guest book, which I would expect to translate into more positive review postings. Unfortunately, we cannot control the weather, and in fairness, there are appropriate cancellation policies.
