We are very sorry you were not able to stay for the length of time you originally booked. Our cancellation terms are very clear, being confirmed at the time of booking and are very fair in comparison to other properties. It is necessary to have a cancellation policy as we need to protect our business. These terms were accepted by you when the booking was made. If a guest curtails their stay then we are left in the difficult position of being unable to sell rooms and most of guests understand this. We are always very happy to assist with any paperwork required for insurance claims in such circumstances. We can only apologise for any confusion with breakfast orders. We, like many hospitality business have had some issues with staffing levels at times however we are pleased that this has now been resolved. Rooms are serviced on request, as we make clear at check in, We just need to know and we are always happy to accommodate. We are a country hotel, located three miles from Aviemore on a country road with almost no traffic in the evening. Our location is very clear on our information and our guests usually love being away from a busy centre and in a beautiful setting next to Loch Alvie.

Thanks for your review, we're really pleased you enjoyed your stay. We're sorry about the breakfast orange juice, our supplier had switched our usual orange juice due to availability however we quickly changed this to a much better quality orange juice. Having a building of over 300 years old can at times be a a balance to heat without overheating. We're really sorry you were cold. We're always very happy to provide any additional heaters in rooms if necessary or adjust the temperature to suit where we can to make all our guests as comfortable as possible. We are close to the train line however we generally find this doesn't affect our guests' enjoyment as the frequency is low.

We are sorry you didn't enjoy your stay with us. Our property is 1700s and quite a few of the standard rooms are small, which we don't hide in the description. However they are characterful and we have renovated 90% of the bathrooms recently. We have had lots of good feedback from the sea bass dish, however it seems like your dish was not cooked to perfection, for which we apologise. We do appreciate constructive feedback and it is always best to mention any problems whilst you are in house, so that we can rectify them straight away.
