“Big spacious room however it was very dark and damp smelling which I think is the location in the forest. The property is a little bit out of town which means you are stuck at the hotel for your meals unless you get a tuk tuk to and from town. It was a beautiful property with a lovely breakfast but I found the staff in the reception not overly friendly or helpful and a little out of the way for the main attractions. ”

“Wonderful place and accommodation with truly devoted service. They tried ever so hard to make our stay and experience a memorable affair which we applaud. To improve I would say that being organised and taking dining orders is fine but for example the breakfast does need to be hot and not prepared too early. “Hotel is great. They charged us by mistake when we checked in. Realized their error and upgraded us to a villa as an apology. Rooms, hotel grounds, restaurant and service of staff are all top notch. ”

“Beautiful setting. I was a bit confused about advertised lake who is actually not on the property and holds little for guests. Pool area was wonderful very quiet with trees and birds. Heinz was most helpful in sugges outings and arranging driver. A few niggles: Breakfasts like all in Sri Lanka could use some tweaking with toast presented first to go cold and items not offered but available such as tomatoes or bacon: readily provided when requested.
