Welcome to Casa Komorebi, a Japanese-inspired masterpiece nestled in the heart of Costa Rica's mesmerizing southern Pacific coastline.

Entering Casa Komorebi is a bit like walking on rarified air, with suspended, gravity-defying bedrooms hovering high over the jungle canopy and an infinity swimming pool that can make any visitor feel as if the entire globe is at their fingertips.

Overlooking Costa Rica's Bahia Ballena National Park, you'll have a perfect view of the famous Whale's Tail Reef every day during low tide.

So impressive is the setup, in fact, that any potential guests need to ask themselves: Why wouldn't I book a vacation at this absolutely amazing property?

Only you can answer that one. But first, let's dive into the details.

Drawing deep architectural inspiration from the Land of the Rising Sun, construction on Casa Komorebi wrapped up at the tail end of 2024, with all the work having been completed by the region's most forward-thinking architect.

Meticulously decorated by one of Costa Rica's top interior design companies, everything in the villa, from the pillows on the beds to the cutlery in the kitchen, is brand new. Guests will be awestruck by the intricate details of the local woodwork and art throughout the home. All of the furniture is also top of scale and ultra-comfortable. It's a clean, crisp and classy setup for anyone who steps foot in the house, puts their feet up on a lounger and cracks a cool beverage.

The property features 3 bedrooms, all with en-suite bathrooms, air-conditioning units, outdoor decks and security safes. There is also a zen deck outside with a loveseat, hanging chairs and plenty of space for yoga, meditation and working out.

Total capacity at the villa is 10 guests, and children must be at least 5 years old to stay here.

Casa Komorebi's dueling master bedrooms are both equipped with king beds and full ocean views. You don't even need to get out of the sack to take in the sea and all its glory. There are also walk-in closets in each master suite.

A third bedroom features jungle canopy sightlines with unreal amounts of greenery and wildlife viewing. That bedroom has four total beds, two queens and two singles, in a bunk-style setup. It also has a walk-in closet.

Walkways carved from fine Central American hardwood connect the floating bedrooms with the living area and infinity pool deck. In the center of it all sits a fabulous outdoor garden, soaked in sunlight.

Plan to spend a lot of time near the covered infinity pool deck, where the views out toward Cano Island are storybook stuff. A 10-person outdoor dining table and multiple pool lounge chairs guarantee space and comfort for each guest. The new BBQ means everyone will eat well, too.

From this outdoor area of the house, it's common to witness all types of interesting wildlife, including howler and white-faced monkeys in the trees and toucans, parrots and scarlet macaws in the sky. And if you squint hard enough -- or, better yet, use decent binoculars -- it's completely reasonable to spot humpback whales out in the distance as they migrate with the change of seasons.

Moving inside to the living area and kitchen, the gorgeous, hand-crafted furniture and artwork are eye-opening. As an added bonus, this section of the house also has air conditioning, which is pretty rare. Most rental homes in the region only have AC in the bedrooms. At Casa Komorebi, you get the best of all worlds.

Regarding the region, the property is located near the town of Uvita. Guests will need a 4x4 vehicle to access the grounds. There is a very nice restaurant just a few minutes from the villa, and dozens of other great places to eat within a 10-to-20-minute drive. Some of the top beaches in the country, including Playa Ventanas and Playa Achote, are accessible nearby.

Popular outdoor activities include surfing, zip-lining, river rafting, kayaking, hiking, horse rides, ATV tours, inshore and offshore fishing, waterfall rappelling, snorkeling, and diving.

With more than 15 years of professional experience in the area, YouGetHere can assist with car rentals, tour reservations, in-home chef and massage services, as well as any maintenance that's required at the property. The property is amazing, the property manager was amazing. With that being said we ran into a slew of issues that are no fault to the property but you should be aware of. We lost power several times for 12 hours at a time. There is a generator but only supplies a few things. Water went out and we had to have water trucked in for basic needs. It was an issue with the community water, the pump went out and then the line broke then the filter at the house broke. Again the property is awesome, just be aware of some of the issues that can come up for this property.
