“The women who were running the hotel were consistently cheerful, helpful, and hard-working. The guest work-out room and laundry room are examples of the thoughtful planning for travellers. Our room was huge and spotless (bedroom with small fridge, living room with microwave, and bathroom). Breakfast, included in the price, was delicious - with lots of choices like delicious coffee and tea, eggs, sausages, pancakes, fresh fruit, bagels, yogurt, etc. I'd just suggest including a gluten-free cereal...

“The hotel is located on the wharf and close to downtown for easy walking to various amenities and sites. The hotel restaurant was very good and our room was quite large with a great view of the bay and harbour. We would not hesistate to stay there again!”

“Lokesh Kant was helpful in making us comfortable during our stay. He was informative when we asked about places of interest to visit while in the area. We enjoyed talking with him as he was very personable. We definitely would recommend Hillside Motel. It was not the Taj Mahal, but for the value price, it was worth staying there. If and when we are in St John, we would stay there again. ”
