“Room was musty and carpets were filthy. Toilet didn’t work, maintenance came and filled the tank with the bathroom garbage can and said he fixed it yet it just kept running. The building needs a key card to enter it which is great for safety yet the door needs to actually close to be secure we had to hulk it closed to get it to close and lock. “Front desk clerk refused to check us in at 3:49pm, even though we were only 11 minutes early. We argued and she finally agreed. However, she had a, "printer issue," and didn't actually hand us the keys until right at check in time. I suspect the general manager has told staff they are not to check any guest in early. We often spend time in La Grande, but we will not be staying at this Best Western again. A 4:00pm check in time is ridiculous to begin with. Whatever happened to 3:00pm check...
