Bald Head DIAMOND: gioiello perfetto per una fuga di coppia !!!

L'uragano Firenze ha avuto un enorme impatto sull'isola nel settembre del 2018 e ci saranno delle proprietà in riparazione per il prossimo anno. Inoltre, poiché The Island è ancora in costruzione, la costruzione di nuove sta iniziando sempre. I proprietari di immobili diversi da quelli che fanno la costruzione non si assumono alcuna responsabilità per questo inconveniente in quanto non possiamo in alcun modo influenzare altre proprietà.

La nostra casa è pronto e disposto ad ospitare coppie che vogliono fuga e hanno un cottage privato completamente arredato sulla testa Isola Calva. Abbiamo una cucina completamente attrezzata, 2 bagni, veranda protetta e zona giorno al piano inferiore; balcone al piano superiore al largo della principale con vista sul Bald Head Creek. La camera da letto principale ha un nuovo Pottery Barn matrimoniali per i nostri ospiti. Questo gioiello Island è stato completamente ristrutturato nel 2013, con mobili Pottery Barn, accessori e biancheria. Abbiamo un nuovo carrello di golf a 4 posti per le vostre esigenze di trasporto.
La nostra casa si trova nel quartiere del porto villaggio di BHI. Molti servizi sono disponibili con una breve passeggiata. Il villaggio è il centro di attività ricreative, come stand-up paddle boarding, kayak e canoa. Ci sono diversi ristoranti, Vecchio Baldy nostro faro residente, la Bald Head Chapel Island, e la spiaggia di accessi 1,2, e 3. Vedute di quello che succede nel porto possono essere prese sulle panchine convenientemente disposti situati intorno al porto.
Un breve viaggio vi permetterà di visitare diversi negozi raffinati e la nostra favolosa mercato marittimo. Da quel contenitore di 1/2 e 1/2 ai pasti completamente preparati e tutto il resto, il personale multa di Claude Papa vi farà convinto che non c'è bisogno di portare anything..they averlo. Essi possono anche ottenere appena pescato selezioni di frutti di mare, se si darà loro un ordine di mattina e di solito può avere sul traghetto pomeriggio per la cena.

This was our 2nd time staying at Bald Head Diamond and we loved it just as much as the first time. Perfect for a two people and the walkability to everything in the marina is awesome. Very clean and comfortable and the upstairs deck has amazing views. We would have liked to have had 2 chairs on the screened porch but that was the only issue we had.

Exactly what we hoped it would be

We really enjoyed our visit. The host thought of everything and it made for a comfortable and pleasant stay.Location was great, steps from the marina.The house was clean, cozy, well-decorated, and felt like home.We would definitely recommend it for a couple and plan on coming back.

The location was ideal and the house was so adorable. The only problem was there wasn’t any place to put clothes away. My partner used the coffee table downstairs to keep his things but overall it was a great place. Hugh was very good to work with and the Shoals Club was the best part!

The island is amazing. The house was a perfect spot for the two of us on our anniversary get away. The pictures are very accurate to the actual house. Cleanliness was good and the stairs are what the picture shows. Easy to navigate but takes a bit to get used to it. The lock box when you check in is on the porch rail and not the door, so that was a little confusing but other than that the property was as advertised and was great. We would stay again no question about it. Just a heads up for anyone reading the review, you will need to book the ferry and the tram before showing up. We tried on the way down but the presale tickets were all sold out for the day so we had to get a standby ticket. The ferry brings you from Southport to the island and the tram service will shuttle you to the house and pick you up on the day of departure.

BEWARE!!! At 1:15AM, a massive COCKROACH RAN UP AND DOWN MY FACE in the middle of the night!!!! It scared me so bad. I've been traumatized from it. I jumped up and had to kill the roach with my bare hands and the sheet. The sheets were so soiled from killing the roach, I couldn't lay back down nor would I have dared to. I didn't sleep the rest of the night and sat in the living room with the TV on bc I couldn't sleep. My husband had to continue staying in the bed because there was no where else for him to lay. When the sun arose, we cut our trip short because we were so upset. I had booked the late ferry, but we ended up taking the first ferry we could which was 8:30AM. This ruined our entire night and last day of our trip. Before we left, my husband went upstairs a final time to make sure we hadn't left anything behind. When he was checking the room, there was a different huge bug in the bed running around!!!! I have photos and videos of everything. To make matters worse, the host is unsympathetic and couldn't care less. He BLAMED THIS ON ME!!! His response was ACCUSING ME that we "must have left the doors open and let bugs in." We absolutely did not. Hugh was so rude on the phone and HUNG UP ON ME. I texted hours later asking for a follow up call to professionally and courteously discuss the matter, to which I received no response. He refuses to refund any money or discuss the matter further. I WISH I HAD SORTED THE REVIEWS BY LOWEST RATING FIRST, PRIOR TO BOOKING!
The cockroach that ran up and down my face awaking me at 1:15 AM.

Between ok and good

There are a lot of great things about this property. The host is very easy to communicate with and responds quickly to questions. The golf cart is fast (which matters more than you’d think). The view from the upstairs balcony is beautiful, and the location is great—you can’t hear the ferry horn. The bed is very comfortable and the bedding is high quality. Towels and washcloths were soft and clean, and beach towels were also provided. The water pressure in the shower was strong and the water stayed hot. It’s a cute, well-decorated space with two full bathrooms, which is a huge plus.That said, the showers are very small. I’m a short person, and even I had trouble moving around. My arms and elbows hit the walls constantly. The upstairs shower has a slanted tile ceiling, and I almost bumped my forehead more than once. The downstairs shower curtain didn’t reach the floor, so water spilled out onto the mat. Both showers had minimal shelf space, and the liner clings to you while you shower. If you’re shaving, you’ll probably have to turn the water off just to have room. The beach chairs are rusted, and the shoulder straps are broken. The stairs to the loft are steep and awkward—it’s a split step pattern, and you need both hands on the rails. The loft area gets hot even with the ceiling fan on high

Great place two suggestions

The property, owner communication, and amenities were awesome! Two suggestions. The first would be to document in greater detail the miner style stairs that are required to navigate to get to the loft bedroom. If you have a leg or back issue or senior you may not be able to navigate those steps safely. In addition if you had a few too many you will most likely be sleeping on the couch. Second, and this is minor. You may want to stock larger coffee cups as the keurig generates 12 oz coffee cups and the in house cups are only 8 oz. If you are not paying attention and swapping cups there is a possibility of overflow.

Amazing Little Place

Had a great time on the island, running Badwater Ultra Marathon. The place was perfect. Kitchen had everything to cook in for meals and the location was great! Would stay again fore sure!

Perfect for Couple's Getaway!

We really enjoyed Hugh's property. The sunrise marsh view from the loft and porch was the highlight for sure! From the towel of the golf cart to the well appointed kitchen and living spaces, they really had everything we needed to enjoy a quick get away. This was our first overnight trip to Bald Head but definitely not the last!

Our second visit here to this cozy and quaint cottage on BHI. Great location and always charming and clean. It's a wonderful place for 2 people to stay on BHI. Wow will go back!
