Hidden gem
From the minute we arrived to regretfully having to leave we had a fabulous time. The cabin is so cute with so many nooks and crannies, nick knacks and decorations were everywhere. Everything we needed for meals and the bon fire pits are amazing. Lots of room for sitting and relaxing. Perfect location close to water with easy access to beach, and trails for walking and riding so close. Cant wait to come back in summer to be able to use beach more fully. We had so troublt figuring out heater but owners were in touch immediately and helped is figure it out.

Nice Property, very people friendly
Very nice Rustic Cabin, Great kitchen nicely furnished. Bathrooms. are clean with plenty of Hot water. Living Room has a very nice Fireplace that made the cold evenings very pleasant.

I would not return
The cabin itself is cute however the doors do not lock fully. We had to be comfortable without being able to lock the doors within the screened in porch. The location of this cabin is on a very busy road that had high traffic throughout the weekend so it was very noisy and smelled like fumes from all the 4 wheelers. The beach was nice however it is next to the boat ramp that is consistently used throughout the day and so you never get privacy on the beach. There even was a family who took over the beach by the boat ramp and allowed their kids to play all over the beach so 1/3 days we were not able to even use the beach. There was no lighter or matches to start a fire. I would not return to this cabin. It was not peaceful and private at all.

I am sorry that you did not fully enjoy your stay. However, this was during Labor Day weekend so I would have expected more traffic and people than usual.

Cozy little cabin
We had a wonderful weekend at the cabin. The cabin was spotless, the lake was perfect for my 3 year old and 11 month old to splash around in, very shallow and clean. My 3 year old loved fishing from shore. He was able to catch and release a lot of small fish which made his entire weekend. The only thing I would have to recommend is providing plug-in fans since there is no AC. I read the reviews prior to booking and was worried about the heat, especially at night. We ended up bringing two fans which we used the first night, because it was 88° that day, but the rest of the nights were cool and I wish we wouldn’t have had to waste precious cargo space . Other than that, excellent stay.

Family Vacation
We had fun using the kayaks. The lake had a alot of weeds and mucky bottom so some of us didn't go out to far. There was not a dock so we couldn't fish off that and tie our floaties off. The TV didn't work so the owners bought a new one and if you have a hotspot you could use it. You should really get Wifi! And have a couple window air conditioners because it really gets hot and muggy in the cabin. Overall we had a good time and the place is clean. Also you should let people have a small camper on property for more family to come and enjoy this wonderful spot.

Nice rustic family getaway
Stayed with Grandparents, myself and spouse, and our 8 year old and our dogs The location and facilities were as described, in fact I felt it was better than I expected. It was cozy, clean, and comfortable. Some reviewers gave negative remarks for things that are clearly stated (if you read) no internet, no washer dryer, rustic cabin, no AC. I was well aware of these items and planned my trip accordingly. We spent most of time using the kayaks and sitting by the water. Access to the lake is sandy and shallow. You have to go out pretty far to get above your waist. It made a perfect spot for our 8 year old to dig holes in the beach area, our dogs to easily run into the water, adult to sit chairs in the water to relax in. We fished using the kayaks and caught a few fish. At night we had bon fires in one of the two available pits. Cooked dinners most nights in the house and found the house well-appointed with the amenities we needed to do so. Beds were lovely and everyone slept well. Tips if we stayed again would be to bring a power strip (rustic cabins tend to have limited plugs). We enjoyed the time together and would recommend to others.

Lake was great but was too hot in cabin so had to leave early. :(
Pros: The cabin was clean and well stocked Lots of towels ,bedding & pillows.the lake was perfect for little ones. My 1&3 year old had a blast sitting in the clear shallow beach area while I sat in a beach chair right in the water watching them play. Our favorite part was we were able to use the kayaks and take the kids out on the lake which we loved. The cabin is dog friendly and we have someone allergic to dogs so they put a ozone machine in house prior to our arrival and we had zero issues w allergies. We appreciated that. Cons: IT WAS HOT in the cabin!! Prior to booking I did msg the owner and inquire if there was a/c which they stated there was NOT but that there were fans there. We figured they meant box fans but there was only ceiling fans in each room. 2 of our days were 90°so we stayed at the beach as much as we could but w 2 young kids that nd to nap during the day it was hard on every1 having to be in the hot house.We went and purchased 2 fans to make sleeping bareable but ultimately ended up leaving a day early due to it being too hot.The TV and DVD player did not work due to no remote for dvd player and no wifi for tv. Mgd owner about remote and never heard bck.The owner was very nice and even offered to let us stay as late as we wanted on check out day which we wld hv taken advantage of had it not been so hot.Overall we had fun,just 2 hot.Our recommendation is get alot of box fans,washer/dryer and working dvd player /tv and this will be a 5 star cabin.

Winter family trip
We had a great stay at this lil cabin on the lake! We enjoyed snowmobiling with friends and was a great place to stay with 4 kids with great bunks. It had everything we needed. Loved that it also came with mini shampoo and conditioners like hotels since we forgot ours. Haha! Everything was very clean and organized. Thanks again for a great New Years weekend away!

Perfect relaxing getaway!
Our family enjoyed our end of summer rental. We will for sure rent this cottage again. One of our most favorite places for our family and our dogs. Loved bringing our golf cart and exploring and riding all the trails in the area. Loved laying in the chair out in the water and taking a nap.. We throughly enjoyed the beach and water and the sunsets and relaxing laying in the hammock. This cabin was very cozy and comfy for all of us and we all loved it. Can’t wait to come back next summer!

Great place for a family

Amazing Getaway
Beautiful area. Cozy, modern cabin. The lake access is as private as can be and “screams”vacation. What a treat, what a dream. Neighborhood is lovely, and the community seems very welcoming to vacationers. Highly recommend!

Very charming cabin! Lake is clean and shallow. Perfect for all ages. Great kayaking and fishing!
The cabin was exactly as pictured in the photos. Super charming! The area by the water was perfect for young kids to play in the shallow, clean, sandy water and putting in your chairs in the water for sunbathing. Beautiful sunsets and great for kayaking and fishing. Jim and Shawna were very accommodating and easy to communicate with. Highly recommend this rental, we had a great time!!

Beautiful Lake House
Our stay was unfortunately cut short due to a family emergency, which Jim and Shawna were very understanding about. The cabin is in a great location and was very clean and tidy. One detail we felt had been slightly overlooked was the inclusion of a handbook or some other type of guide to the property (appliances to plug in/unplug, directions for fans and lights, etc.). I couldn’t completely relax because we were unsure of the checkout expectations, how to operate some of the amenities and features of the property, access to shopping/groceries nearby, what types of local spots were a must-see, etc. When packing up and heading out in a hurry, I was missing a checklist of items to ensure we did everything before we walked out the door and headed for home.

Great property. Beautiful lake. Perfect retreat. Very cozy. Cabin looks small but accommodates for 7-8 easy. Great fishing, largemouth plentiful. Clean, clear lake water. Tap water in cabin is good as well. Our family loved it!!!

Wolf cabin
Stayed at this cozy cabin on Wolf Lake over Thanksgiving. The lake was beautiful, and the cabin was situated near the trail into the woods. The area was very peaceful and safe with a supermarket 15 mins away. Lots to do if you enjoy the outdoors in winter or summer and then return to this lovely cabin for rest. Thank you for allowing us to stay.

Hidden Log Cabin Gem
This was my 2nd time to the property. The first was in October 2020, I came by myself to reset after a stressful life event and it was perfect. peaceful, tranquil..the trees and colors were gorgeous. Loved a walk or run around the lake which was about 4 miles. The second time was August 2021 and I loved it just as much. From the description of the lake is “across the street” I was nervous to book it, it turned out to be nothing. The lake is a straight shot just steps from the cabin. The lake is clear and clean, you can still see the bottom in 5-6 ft if water! It is a beautiful lake, not busy and crowded. The cabin itself is ADORABLE, decorated in charming bright colors. The beds are super comfortable, it is clean and full of rustic charm. It has all the comforts of home and Jim and Shawna were very responsive to my questions both times. I was not ready to leave. It is close to several areas to hike, and I’d say both Fall and Summer offered equally enjoyable but different experiences. A+

We really enjoyed staying on the property. The cabin was very unique, and the lake front area was great. Our kids and dog were able to hang out in the water. It is a very shallow lake, especially near shore which was nice for the kids!

This is a nice property. The owner’s are very responsive, however there was a flying squirrel living in the cabin that came out every night. Just an FYI, one bedroom leads into the other so privacy between the two rooms is sparse. We did catch a few fish right off the dock.

Take Me To The Lake
Fishing, swimming & kayaking . The rain we had was great excuse for a nap, some card games and heading into town for bowling & ice cream. Fantastic, easy-lake access where our rented pontoon boat could be put in. Thoughtful beach area with plenty of chairs, picnic table & fire pit. Cabin was well stocked and has a cozy, rustic feel with plenty of room for everyone. Hungry? Check out Barskis.. fantastic food.

Wonderful cottage in Wolf Lake
The cottage itself was very easy to find which is always a good thing. It was very well stocked. We had everything we needed to cook many different meals. We came at the worst part of summer, rain and flooding, but we were able to make the most of it in between the storms. The beach was nice and clean. The only bad part is we weren't allowed to use the kayaks that are pictured and mentioned in other reviews. We love that they are so pet friendly because let's be honest, if our dog cant go, we wont go. The neighbors were very friendly too.

Quaint, larger than it looks and well appointed
This quaint cabin is larger than it looks and has everything you need to enjoy a fun vacation at the lake. Very nice kayaks included and a dock that was perfect for our fishing boat (pretty shallow though). Nice sandy bottom at the beach area. Easy access to ORV trails and room to park two trailers. We had a great stay!

A magical little cabin on the lake.
We rented this beautiful cabin for Easter weekend. James and Shawna are the kindest couple. Our stay was wonderful. To say that we are in love with this small slice of heaven would be an understatement. Such great memories were made here.

Great Find
We had a great time at this cabin. It is a beautiful log cabin right on the lake, in a nice stand of pine. Very quiet and close to good hiking/cross country skiing. It wasn’t cold enough to skate on the lake, but if it were the cabin would be perfect for some pond hockey. The host was really helpful and responsive, and the cabin was very clean and comfortable. The wood burning stove is definitely an added plus. We would definitely stay again and highly recommend!

Home away from home
Everything about our stay in this cabin was great, even down to the many amenities that I was pleasantly surprised by. Coffee grinder, creamers, beach toys, games, soaps, towels (& beach towels) I really could go on with amenities. They even had wood available for the cool nights to use for the fireplace and one of their two outdoor fire pits. There was plenty of space for my family of five which includes our two teenagers and our senior English mastiff. The owners were great with communication and I truly felt as if I was in my home away from home. As a Travel Agent I don't lightheartedly recommend places, however if you are looking for a quiet retreat in a real log cabin with your own beach access on a beautiful lake within driving distance of many activities all of Pure Michigan has to offer, book this one.

Darling cabin on wolf lake
Loved the cabin. Everything you could need. Not on lake but nice lakeview. We kayacked and it was so fun!

The house isn’t on the lake but we own all the way from the house to the water. Everything we show in the pictures is our property. Fire pit in the back yard and Fire pit at water With beach. I made this clear in our description so as to not mislead any guest.

Nice location with everything you need.
Nice location across from the lake with a great view. Cottage was very welcoming, clean and roomy enough for 5 adults and our dogs. Everything you could ever need was at the cottage, just bring your clothes and food. We enjoyed ourselves and had a great time.

Great quiet location to get away for a few days.
Property had everything needed, just bring food!! Easy access to ORV trails, first cast each day resulted in a fish hooked!! Very comfortable and quiet location!! Definitely a place to return too.
