“The grounds of the property as idyllically situated. Guests can take a courtesy shuttle to the Park or Khlong Sok. One can hear monkeys howling in the morning and many different birds. The food was great. The staff were pleasant. Pool was clean.”

It is serene and quiet and filled with the sounds of nature - birds and monkeys! The lake water is clean and clear and warm like a bath. There are beautiful fish you can feed. The staff go above and beyond to ensure all your needs are met. The food is also top-notch. We wished we had spend three nights instead of two. ”

“Individual chalets with adjacent car port, suggesting this is more motel than hotel. Certainly not a 'resort'. Close to the airport but miles from anything else, just getting food delivered can be challenging. I'm sure the bed used to be a concrete tunnel support, the hardest mattress I've ever not been able to sleep on. Reception staff excellent, as is usual in Thailand.”

“When you visit Khao Sok or Cheow Lan Lake, the thing to do is stay in one of these raft houses. You’ll take a long tail boat from the dam area to the raft house, which depending on the time of year, you may get rained on. Praiwan Raft house is great because it’s a more authentic experience and is more tucked away in the park, right near where many of the wildlife tours are, so there are animals right next to you.
