Wind turbines each 70 meters high stand in the bleak shores of Bangui, Ilocos Norte like strange, alien monuments. As I stood underneath one of these towering structures listening to every roar of its propellers and to the splashes of the incoming waves, and watching the vivid colors of the Ilocos sunset, I could not help but feel awe to the power and beauty of nature.

“I give this place an overall 5 stars because of their price point. They aren't like other hotels that claim they are a 4 or 5 star then you arrive to find otherwise. They state they are a 2 star hotel right away. The sheets were clean but threadbare. The mattress was super firm and comfortable. “Food good. Very friendly people. You can rent a stove and you can cook your own food. It's not a 5 star hotel but more of bedspace rental but just a place to sleep. The beach is good. Before you enter Blue Lagoon beach where this home stay is, you need to pay 20 pesos per person to enter the area. Money will go to the barangay, smallest unit of local government. Ask for receipt. They don't issue and refused to give us invoice for the 120 pesos we paid for. I will recommend the place...
