    Il livello principale vanta un soggiorno con soffitto a cattedrale, un muro di finestre con splendide viste sulle montagne, un camino in pietra a gas, un divano letto in pelle, TV HD satellitare da 32 pollici con lettore DVD e videoregistratore e pavimenti in legno, una zona pranzo, una bella cucina completamente attrezzata con ripiani in granito, un bagno con doccia, una veranda coperta coperta con grill a gas e un grande ponte con altalena e vasca idromassaggio con vista sulle splendide viste sulle montagne.

    Al piano superiore si trovano una camera da letto con letto king size e TV satellitare con lettore DVD, una camera da letto con un letto queen pillow top, un bagno completo con combinazione vasca / doccia e una zona soppalco con un divano letto a una piazza e mezza in pelle Click-Clack.

    Il livello inferiore ha una grande sala con camino ad angolo / in muratura, TV a schermo piatto con DirectTV e lettore DVD, un divano letto in pelle full size, un tavolo da pranzo 3 in 1 rotondo da pranzo / scacchiera / poker, un bagno con doccia splendidamente piastrellata (senza vasca), una serie di letti a castello singoli e scaffali e armadietti incorporati. Ci sono anche porte scorrevoli che conducono ad un grande ponte con vista sulla montagna di Hawksnest.

    Con molte finestre e illuminazione naturale, questa cabina arredata con gusto e splendidamente decorata offre la perfetta vacanza in montagna.

This cabin was perfect for our annual spring break trip. It met all of our requirements: high up in the mountain for beautiful mountain views, lots of windows, indoor fireplace for keeping warm and roasting marshmallows, pet friendly, log cabin feel, full kitchen, and a washer/dryer. We were snowed in the first 2 days (probably our choice-we are Floridians who don't know how to drive in the snow). We felt like we were in a snow globe and loved playing in the snow. During our trip, we went to Grandfather Mountain (a must!), Linville Falls, Blowing Rock, Otter Falls, and the Alpine Mountain Coaster. This cabin is great for staying in and catching up on rest and relaxation as well as a great place to wind down after a day of exploring.

I would highly recommend staying here the views are amazing the only thing is we had to clean when we got to the cabin there was dirt and dog hair on the floors and couches.

Apple of My Eye proved to be a relaxing get-away, as we sought a quiet, private cabin at a high altitude (in this case 4,100 feet).Damages from Hurricane Helene are still evident on the road leading to the cabin, and we’re glad that we had our 4WD.There were many grazing deer who would get within 50-75 feet, and one small bear who kept his distance. We love wildlife!The lower level bathroom was missing many lights, and could not be used, and the lower level is also a most interesting library of book on nearly every topic.

If you’re looking for an authentic mountain cabin experience, this is the place for you! We loved the views and the property was well maintained. Quiet little neighborhood on Grandfather with plenty of privacy, and we saw many deer and a few wild turkeys. Bathrooms were clean, and the house was well stocked with cleaning supplies, kitchen items, and laundry supplies. Great for if you plan on coming with a larger group and need to make meals at the house.When we first arrived had an error getting our door code to work, and Angie at the Blue Ridge Rentals main office was very kind and helped us get a working code right away over the phone, and even texted after to make sure we were OK. Only critique is that some of the couches/chairs in the home are pre-loved and have seen better days— Could maybe use some TLC or a re-upholstering. But I guess that adds to the rustic cabin feel, right? Would definitely book again

Mountain Getaway/Hiking/HotTub

This beautiful cabin has a fabulous view and is very private. We only heard nature while we were there. It is easily accessible to surrounding towns like Boone, Blowing Rock and Valle Crusis. The hot tub was a major draw for us and it was very nice. My husband would have liked stronger jets but I'm fine just soaking so the mild jets were a compromise for us. There were a few things inside the cabin that need to be addressed. One of the beds upstairs needs an immediate mattress replacement. It is not able to function as a bed in its current state. (My husband and I sleep separately so he had to go downstairs to the bunkbeds which isn't ideal for a grown man!) We booked this house in part because it had two bedrooms with nice sized beds. So this was a disappointment. Also, the television in the den is placed way too high for comfortable viewing. It would be nice to have some type of shade to pull down if viewing the TV in the afternoon as the sun shines directly into the house. Don't get me wrong, we loved the sunsets but were not able to watch tv until it was dark. You will definitely need 4-wheel or all wheel drive in the winter as it's a climb to get there, but so worth it!

Damages missed at inspection were obvious

Upon arrival both fireplaces did not work, upstairs toilet seat was badly cracked, bathroom plug at sink did not work. After calling number provided for service with no answer, we later emailed Tonya Hawkins from your Hospitality team and received a response the next day. A service man replaced the broken fireplace switch and provided a remote. He also explained how to work fireplace downstairs (worked via unmarked wall thermostat?), and replaced toilet seat. Written operating instructions for downstairs fireplace would have been helpful. He made note of damaged plug since he did not have replacement with him. Wine openers damaged and did not work. We could not open trash can outside, instructions on can not readable, need instructions inside house, not just on can left outside. We were frustrated to have an email telling us the house was ready and INSPECTED, whoever inspected did a very poor job! Although very clean, items not working should have been part of inspection. Again, the main fireplace electronic on/off switch was in pieces on top of the mantel, should have been obvious when inspecting. Serviceman was very helpful and much appreciated. Once fireplace worked we enjoyed our chilly stay very much!

The house itself was perfectly secluded and had an amazing view. The hot tub was the highlight! Overall the house it slightly dated and the mattresses could use updating. Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a cozy house with an amazing Mountain View!

Great Spring Break getaway

We had a lovely visit. The view was better than expected and even though you feel away from everything you’re only a 10-15 minute drive down the mountain to all kinds of activities and dining options. We had no trouble getting there in a sedan during the warm months although you will see why they require 4x4 or chains in the winter. We have stayed at three cabins in the last year and this is the first one that I would book again. Perfect space for our small family to have peace and quiet although enough room for two small families if you’re close. 10/10.

Everything was good except few issues

Location , view was awesome. Cleanliness was good. My issues was with dishwasher not turning on and main room fire place out of order. I also had to wait few mins outside for door password not working which wasn’t big deal. I contacted property manager with few issues via email immediately after checking in. Our friends loved it too. I would recommend it to friends but would call and verify if all amenities are in working condition.

Apple of my Eye LIVES UP TO THE NAME

What a wonderful little cabin! The views were incredible and the location for what we wanted was perfect. It was VERY high up in the mountain and absolutely requires a car with 4 wheel drive and/or chains in the winter. We visited in early January and had snow 2 out of the 5 days we were there. Around the house there was snow that was at least 2 feet deep. Being so high up was wonderful because the snow doesn't really melt. It takes about 10 minutes to get fully down the mountain from the house, about 5 minutes longer if it was snowing or the road wasn't freshly cleared. There were only a few neighbors around and none of them looked to be occupied. There was so much land to walk around, hike and of course snow sledding (which the property had 3 for us which was such a wonderful added bonus). The cabin has pretty much everything you could ask for including a great 3rd level lounge area with so many books, games, fireplace and a card table. The kitchen is large/spacious and has a gas oven/stove. The fireplaces in the cabin are all gas, which was nice being not too familiar with lighting a real fire and having to worry about getting dry wood. The only non-wonderful comment that I can make on the cabin is that the upstairs rooms are a little small and the bathroom upstairs is a little dated, neither of these would prevent me from booking this cabin again. Both rooms had comfortable beds and clean linens. I cannot recommend this cabin enough for a smaller family or even two couples. Our family agreed based on this visit that an annual trip is a must and we will absolutely be back!

Absolutely amazing cabin and views

The best family vacation we have taken yet. The kids loved snowboarding at sugar mtn and tubing at hawks nest. My husband and I couldn’t get enough of the beautiful cabin views accompanied by the relaxing hot tub. Peaceful, relaxing, beautiful and just perfection all around. This now will be our annual family vacation to make more memories. Thank you for everything!

Great views, mostly comfortable experience.

Overall, the cabin is very nice, well equipped and comfortable, with great Mountain View. Downsides include lack of screens on upstairs windows and no air conditioning on second floor, lack of seating on deck where the great view is and totally unusable sofa bed on lower level. Description says it sleeps 8, but without the use of the sleeper sofa, it really is more like six and that’s using bunk beds that are not all that stable.

Perfect!

Gorgeous cabin. Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Super clean and had everything we needed. Very relaxing and kitchen was stocked with anything you needed to prepare a meal as if you were at home. Hated to leave such a wonderful place. Highly recommend.

King bed mattress needs replacement Queen mattress needs replacement, was so soft, sank in the middle and difficult to get out. Also, my daughter and her husband ended up on in the bunk beds. Mattresses should be replaced.. Top priority in a rental should be renters comfort. Called in fridge handle loose on arrival day, did not receive a call back. The afternoon sun from the western exposure is brutal in the evening. Though we saw a message to cleaners saying a window reflective film was applied in May. At least owner has been made aware and is trying to correct. Our rental was Jul 15-22, air conditioning is advertised, basement remained cool, but main level and top floor were very uncomfortable. King bedroom had a ceiling fan, but Queen bedroom did not which made sleeping very uncomfortable. Finally, we found an envelope in kitchen while cleaning up before leaving. It was for cleaning services to tip the cleaners. I've rented through VRBO, Home Away and others for a weekly rental over the years. We are charged a fee for cleaning in our contract why would we be left an envelope to provide a tip for a service performed once after leaving?
