Mountain Abbey is a peaceful cabin in a quiet wooded area on Beech Mountain. Located just 2.2 miles from Beech Mountain Ski Resort, access to favorite winter activities like skiing, snowboarding, and snow tubing is a short drive away. Experience award-winning mountain bike trails, hiking, disc golf, and scenic lift rides the whole family can enjoy in the summer months. Buckeye Lake Recreation Area is 1.9 miles away, with fishing, basketball courts, tennis courts, a playground, and a hiking trail to a beautiful waterfall. The town of Banner Elk is a 20-minute drive and gives guests access to attractions like Banner Elk Winery and Vineyard, the Wilderness Run Alpine Coaster, Sugar Creek Gem Mining, and Sugar Mountain Ski Resort.

The cozy main floor living area includes leather furniture, a gas log fireplace, and a big-screen TV with a DVD player. Enjoy a selection of movies, books, and games stored in the living room cabinet. The kitchen and dining area complete the great room space. The main floor deck has a gas grill, outdoor dining, and a wood-burning chiminea for evening ambiance. There are two queen bedrooms and a full bathroom on the main level. A spacious loft sleeping area includes a queen bed, a full bathroom, and a TV/DVD player. Each bedroom has a hair dryer.

Central heating, central air conditioning, Wi-Fi, paid TV programming with streaming options, and a washer/dryer, iron/board/drying rack are available to the guests. The fully equipped kitchen provides a coffee maker, toaster, blender, dishwasher, large roasting pan, a large pasta pot, and wine glasses, among other expected items.

The gravel parking area has room for up to three cars, with a one-step entry to the main level entrance. Winter travelers should be prepared for the unpredictable weather with 4-wheel drive vehicles and tire chains if needed. Pets are not allowed.
