  • 'Windiana' è una proprietà sul lungomare di 12 acri a Long Pond, il più grande lago sul Monte. Deserto. Long Pond è lungo quattro miglia e siamo sulla punta del collo settentrionale nel centro di fronte al Parco Nazionale di Acadia. Abbiamo una vista sul lago. Assicurati di vedere il nostro video che si trova nelle foto del VRBO. Il video viene riprodotto quando si arriva alla terza immagine. Siamo in prima fila su Long Pond di fronte a Beech, Mansel e Bernard. Il cottage moderno si trova su una parte meno popolata del lago con il terreno incontaminato del Parco Nazionale Acadia direttamente di fronte.

    Windiana III
    Il cottage più grande è Windiana III. Si trova a 75 piedi dall'acqua. Il soggiorno ha il soffitto di una cattedrale e un lucernario a bolle al centro della casa. La zona giorno è circondata da finestre con vista sul lago e sugli alberi di pino. Ha un grande divano che si trasforma in un divano letto e sedie di vimini. La camera da letto principale ha un letto matrimoniale, porte scorrevoli sul ponte e vista sul lago La seconda camera da letto ha un letto matrimoniale con vista sul lago e sul molo. La terza camera ha due gemelli. C'è una piccola cucina ben attrezzata e un ampio bagno con lavatrice / asciugatrice. Questa casa è fatta per la vita interna / esterna. Il mazzo è di 36 x 12 sul davanti e si avvolge su un ponte di 8 x 28 con una griglia e passi verso l'acqua. La casa comprende anche adirondacks, sedie e un tavolo da pranzo per 10 persone.

    Lo studio
    Un altro piccolo monolocale può essere disponibile in affitto su richiesta. Windiana II è una stanza principale con vista sull'acqua da tutti i lati. Ha un letto matrimoniale, un divano in vimini e sedie, un piccolo frigorifero, un lavandino, un bagno completo. Questa camera è ideale per una coppia o nonni. Il cottage ha una terrazza e una vista sul lago.

    Informazioni su Long Pond
    Ci vorrà una settimana per vedere tutte le gemme su Long Pond! Canoa a Duck Rock per un picnic. Duck Rock è un magnifico strato di roccia che taglia gradualmente nel lago. Perfetto per nuotare con tutte le età. Puoi anche raccogliere una prova del Parco Nazionale Acadia nella Perpendicolare sulla Mansel Mountain. Fai un picnic all'isola di Rum ed esplora questa isola situata in una splendida posizione che guarda il lago. Fai snorkeling e trova i massi delle dimensioni di rocce al largo delle sue coste. È un lago di acqua dolce cristallino. È perfetto per il nuoto, la nautica e la pesca al basso. This property is exceptional—we loved it so much that we booked a return visit before we even got back home. The setting is beautiful, with gorgeous lake views and a quiet lake that's perfect for swimming, paddling, and relaxing. We rented canoes from a local outfitter that the hosts recommended, and the drop-off and pickup made everything effortless.The house is comfortable, thoughtfully equipped, and stocked with so many practical touches, from a well-appointed (if compact) kitchen to useful extras like a collapsible hamper and drying rack. The outdoor space is outstanding, with a large deck for both dining and lounging, plus a private dock right on the water.The hosts struck the perfect balance: warm, responsive, and full of great local recommendations, while also giving us complete privacy. We couldn't have asked for a better stay and can't wait to come back.

The home was great. The lake was amazing. Acadia park and Bar Harbor is approximately a 25 minute drive. The entire family had an amazing time. Would definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay at Diana's cottage! It was close enough to all the sightseeing, yet still felt secluded and private. The cabin is about 20 minutes from Bar Harbor and 15 minutes from Southwest Harbor, making it an ideal location for exploring Acadia while enjoying a peaceful retreat.The cabin was exactly as described and pictured. There was plenty of room for three adults, two small children, and our dog. We especially appreciated being able to bring our dog, as Acadia is incredibly dog-friendly.The cottage had all the modern amenities needed for a comfortable stay, including a dishwasher and an excellent washer and dryer. The beds were very comfortable, and the beautiful artwork and tasteful décor made the space feel warm, welcoming, and relaxing.Diana was a gracious host. Her recommendations for activities and restaurants were excellent, and we loved every dinner spot she suggested. If you're visiting during the summer, be sure to make restaurant reservations well in advance.We made so many wonderful memories during our stay and would highly recommend Diana's cabin to families or anyone planning a trip to Acadia. We would happily stay here again!

Tree house over the pond

This charming well appointed little house has wrap-around views of Long Pond through the trees and lots of natural light. The loon calls and breezes add to the joy. Diana is a responsive and responsible host. It was a true pleasure to stay there.

Nice Stay!

Very cute place right on the water! Our family of 4 (2 adults and 2 young children) enjoyed our stay here and it had everything we needed. There were some little things we had to figure out but overall it was great. Beautiful area, and about 25 minutes to everything. Also really close to Beech Mountain hike which is part of Acadia!

Perfect lakeside house

We love this house!! It's so livable and comfortable, with very thoughtful details throughout. The location is beautiful. You feel so remote yet you're not. We loved being able to swim and fish off the dock and being able to keep our boat there. The neighborhood around the house was also picturesque for running and dog walking. And our hosts were so very kind and generous. They really made the vacation extra special. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful and tranquil gem on Long Pond

This was our family’s second time staying at this house, and we plan to return again. The house is in an ideal location! It’s on a little island in Long Pond. The house is beautiful and well maintained, and Diana is very responsive and helpful in addressing any questions and offering information and suggestions for the area. There’s a beautiful deck, and the house has its own dock on the lake. I highly recommend staying there!

Stunning property and location!

Incredible property and beautiful home with a spectacular view! Such a special property with an amazing history, and Diana, the host, was absolutely lovely and welcoming. She made our family of 4, 2 adults, 2 children ages 12 and 9, feel right at home. The home was bright, clean, comfortable, beautiful indoors and out, and had everything we needed for our week exploring Acadia. The kitchen area was stocked with everything to easily prep and cook all our meals, and the home also had a full-size washer and dryer that worked perfectly. Our family is looking forward to coming again soon for another visit! Thank you Diana for sharing your stunning home!

So quiet!

So quiet!!! The house is at the SW end of an island, with no traffic noise nor nearby neighbours. The owner's house is adjacent but distant enough to enable privacy. The dock was great, and completely private other than passing canoeists. The pond was warm enough to swim (late June). The house is new and in good shape. The kitchen diner lounge room is snug, with limited storage options for groceries. The best place we have stayed in Mt Desert Island.

Long Pond Cottage

The listing description accurate. Cottage is in quiet woods with direct water access. There’s a small dock for kayak or canoe if you rent or bring your own. Kitchen is well appointed as are the bedrooms and bathroom. Common area is small but comfortable for three people. Not in the description is that you must bring your own water for drinking but the tap water is fine for cooking and bathing. Saw stars at night as well as an asylum of loons right off of the dock. Quite peaceful there. Slightly far from anywhere you may want to go but not horrible. I was content to stay put and swim with my dog : )

Rustic lake gem on MDI

This is a great property. Down a long and windy camp road, you are situated up on a bluff overlooking Long Pond. There is a great wraparound deck that gives you views down to the Pond through the trees. We spent time swimming off the private dock and exploring Long Pond via easy kayak rentals (at the head of the Pond). Long Pond is very warm and inviting, and we were utterly surprised that a lake like this exists on MDI (we’ve been to Sebago, Schoodic etc..). Long Pond is seriously amazing! For the days we visited Acadia, Bar Harbor and Northeast harbor, it was an easy and beautiful journey that never took more than 20mins. I would highly recommend this rental for romantic getaways and/or a small family. Diana is very communicative and helpful if you need anything.

Perfect Location!!

This lake house was great!! We had our family of 4 - My son, 21, and daughter ,19, and we all fit comfortably with own space & had everything we needed. We went May 17th-21st & were looking forward to kayaking on the lake & just made it in time for opening season!! That was a close one, we didn't think about on/off season but fortunately our first day there was opening day - for most of Bar Harbor too. The Kayak place down the street was So accommodating and friendly and we were able to Kayak right up to the dock in the back of the house. So much fun!! Location was perfect! You're literally right in the middle of Acadia! Cadillac mountain, Bar Harbor, restaurants, bars and gift shops are all close by- within 20 minutes!! The 4 of us got up early for sunrise at Cadillac Mountain & it was a Amazing! Can't wait to go back!!

Amazing location!

This is a small, bright and cheerful house overlooking Long Pond. A wood chip path leads down to a dock overlooking a pristine and extremely private portion of the lake. To say this is a good spot is an understatement--the location is incredible, at the end of a peninsula and surrounded by acres of woods. Our three kids (aged 13 and 10-year-old twins) swam every day in the warm water before and after all the many activities we did. Bar Harbor and Southwest Harbor are a short drive away and there's so much to do in every direction. One thing that's not clear from the ad is that the owner's own house is set not too far away from the rental property. (She happened to be away during our stay.) That house has its own dock and is set far enough away so that it's still a private house rental, but just know that you're not entirely alone. I've stayed on Long Pond before and I think this is a special house and amazing for families. Highest marks.

Excellent Getaway

Snaps to Diana and the opportunity to stay in this beautiful contemporary VRBO. The property is off the beaten path in a beautiful setting with all the amenities one could possibly need. Diana provided information prior to to our arrival that was extremely helpful. Thanks to her email we reserved times to go to Cadillac Mountain, lunch at Jordan Pond, and a nice anniversary dinner in Bar Harbor. She truly goes above and beyond what I have experienced with other hosts. We enjoyed our Fall visit so much we hope to reserve a week in the Summer to go kayaking, swimming, biking etc. Mt. Desert is truly a magical place!
