Cottage luminoso della foglia di quercia

Questa bella casa spaziosa dispone di 2 ampie camere da letto e 1 camera più piccola, con 2 bagni completi. Dispone inoltre di aria condizionata per le calde giornate estive e di una stufa a pellet (con supporto del forno) per le notti fredde. TV diretta e accesso a Internet WiFi sono disponibili presso il cottage. Questo cottage presenta una pianta aperta e accogliente con molte finestre. È stato completamente rinnovato e aggiornato. Una bella veranda fuori dalla sala da pranzo offre un luogo per rilassarsi.
Situato in posizione strategica a breve distanza in auto dal vivace centro di Bar Harbor, questa tranquilla casa si trova lungo la linea di autobus per i bus navetta gratuiti Island Explorer. Lascia la tua auto alle spalle e sali su un autobus per un giro gratuito ovunque sul Monte Desert Island e nel Parco Nazionale di Acadia. Il nostro cottage si trova su un grande terreno circondato da querce ed è a pochi passi dall'oceano. Diversi campeggi popolari e sterline di aragosta si trovano a 1 miglio, e noleggio di kayak da mare a un miglio. La nostra casa si trova a dieci-quindici minuti da ciascuna delle città sul Monte. Isola deserta: Somesville, Seal Harbor, Northeast Harbor e Southwest Harbor. Tutte queste città hanno il loro carattere e offrono la loro miscela unica di ristoranti, visite turistiche, osservazione delle balene, arte, eventi della comunità, montagne per escursioni, strade di trasporto per passeggiate a piedi o in bicicletta, spiagge, parchi, fari, vela e barche- porti pieni.

This house is spacious, comfortable and functional. We had everything in the kitchen to cook our meals when needed. Showers were big and water pressure was good. Beds were very comfortable. We all had good recuperating sleep after all day hiking. The house is close to Acadia. It took us no more than 25 min to any hiking trail we chose. Food options were much better quality and prices were lower than in Bar Harbor. I highly recommend this house and would come back when visiting the area.

This is a spacious, clean, comfortable home with everything needed to cook family meals. The furnishings allow for lounging in front of the tv and eating together around the kitchen table. The bedrooms are large and the beds were very comfortable. The laundry facilities are new models. The location is quiet and at the end of a road. It's very convenient to drive to Acadia for day trips. The owner is very responsive - we just needed paper towels which were brought promptly. This home was perfect for our group of 4 adults, I've stayed in over 30 home rentals and this one was one of the best, I would definitely stay again!

We loved this place. It was immaculate and very well supplied with everything needed. It feels like it is isolated even though everything we wanted to was no more than 15 to 25 min away. We found 3 or 4 great food places within 10 min. Tom was very response to a couple of small issues we had while there.

We just finished a spectacular week touring Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor and this house was a perfect home base for us and our four kids. There was plenty of space, all the beds were comfortable, there were many games and books for the kids to enjoy, the kitchen was very well stocked with all the tools and implements we needed to make family meals, and there was even a whole first aid cabinet that came in very handy. What's more, the house looks a lot newer and more recently updated than the photos suggest. The owners are EXTREMELY responsive to text messages and got us a fresh propane tank when we ran out while grill, which was very much appreciated. I am *so* glad we chose to stay here instead of in a hotel especially because our priority was to be up and out early each morning to get our hikes and outdoor adventures in, then have somewhere comfortable to have family dinner and watch movies in the evening. Two tips: 1) you *could* do the 0.6mi walk to Terramor to grab the #9 bus into town, or, you could drive to the Visitor's Center to park for the day (15-20 minutes) and take buses around the park and/or into and out of BH rather than dealing with parking in BH. 2) Bring your own beach towels if you're going to be going in the water anywhere. Either way, whenever you get back to the house for the night, it is mandatory that you take the 90-second walk next door to the Travelin' Lobster for at least blueberry pie.

Very clean, overabundance of kitchen appliances, even a colander and popover tin which we used, Roomy, nightlights, places for luggage, bathroom counter space, large bath soaps, laundry supplies, room for family time... We loved our stay and would do it again.

Great Stay

Very clean. Everything was just as we expected. Close to a wonderful lobster takeout. When I damaged a screen on the sliding glass door, he replaced it the next day and covered the cost. Everything worked. Great location. Tom has a great house and location. We will say here again on our next trip to Maine.

Gem in the woods

This is probably my favorite vacation rental I’ve ever stayed in. This little cottage was perfect for my little family and my Husbands parents. It was well stocked and clean. The location is private but also within walking distance of a great restaurant. There were games and camping chairs to sit outside, and a grill on the deck. I would definitely recommend it to any family up to 6 people. There were lots of towels and a washer and dryer which was amazing for this point in our trip. I’ll definitely be booking with them again next year.

Nice house. Plenty of room. A bit tricky finding the turnoff for the first day but really nice. Short distance from town and Acadia. Owners were very responsive to inquiries.

Very enjoyable stay

The property is exactly as advertised. Off the main roads, quiet, private, well kept, VERY clean. We cooked all meals there and found the kitchen supplies more than adequate. Plenty of room to spread out (meals, reading, games, puzzles, etc.). Owners were adjacent to the rental property. We talked to Rita, pleasant lady. Highly recommend!

Would stay there again

Clean, well-appointed house with no surprises located 15 minutes from Bar Harbor and the main part of Acardia. Lobster stand and coffee shop next door, plus good hikes in the less-visited parts of the park. Great if you don't want to be in the middle of the things but close by.

The perfect Mt Desert Island getaway

The place was WAY bigger than we expected, super comfortable, lots of spaces for hanging, and beautiful outdoor space as well. We were told the kitchen had everything we needed - and they weren't kidding! We were able to cook every night and even make a birthday cake and some muffins without having to get extra tins. And it's so close to the park, it made hiking trips so easy. Super great!

Great spot on the Island

Wonderful property. The pictures don’t do it justice! Perfect base camp for adventuring in Acadia NP. We had 3 generations with us and we all thought the house was great. Plenty of towels and essentials. The kitchen was very well stocked and allowed us to prepare for each day’s hikes then come back and cook in for dinner. A great value compared to the pricey hotels on the island and so much more private and peaceful. We give this our highest rating!
