Stepping Stone è il luogo perfetto per le tue vacanze. È su una strada privata e tranquilla, vicino a tutto ciò che Southwest Harbor ha da offrire. Fai una passeggiata di 1/2 miglio o guida fino a Seawall Beach o alle libbre di aragosta locali, sali in macchina e prosegui per i sentieri escursionistici e il faro di Bass Harbor, oppure fai 5 minuti di auto dal centro città per cena e shopping.
La casa in sé è spaziosa e soleggiata ed è composta da un master en suite con un letto matrimoniale e un bagno completo con cabina doccia, una seconda camera da letto con due letti matrimoniali e una sala da bagno con una combinazione vasca / doccia. C'è un garage completo per due auto per riporre biciclette e kayak. Troverai anche refrigeratori, sedie a sdraio e giochi da giardino per il tuo divertimento.
Siediti sul ponte e rilassati al suono delle onde che si infrangono sulla spiaggia di Seawall, oppure goditi un fuoco serale e rilassati dalle avventure della giornata.

This property was comfortable and clean with everything you need for a restful retreat from the business of Acadia and Bar Harbor. Very convenient for Bass Harbor Lighthouse. We loved being away from the crowds and chaos of Bar Harbor. I highly recommend staying here!Would recommend dinner at nearby Peter Trouts. Lots of locals there. Coffee and bagels and Milagro was also a treat.Only suggestion I have is adding a mattress topper to the master bed.

This property was beautifully decorated with attention to details. Everything was stocked as advertised. i’ve stayed at many VRBOs that did not have the items they listed in their description and then you need to run to a store to pick up needed items. This is also the cleanest vrbo that i’ve stayed. The bed linens and pillows were really nice. We loved that after a busy day hiking or in the nearby towns, we could go back to this peaceful retreat. Most evenings we would sit out at a fire before going to bed. It was also neat to see deer and their fawn passing through the yard. Amy was an attentive host prior to and during our stay, answering any messages or calls promptly. I would highly recommend this location

Stepping Stone is a beautifully appointed home. It was a very comfortable place for my cousins and I to spend a few days on MDI. Out of the way, but within 20-30 minutes of anything we wanted to do.

Very cozy home beautifully situated away from the hustle of the crowds, but convenient to all the beauty Acadia has to offer. I just missed the memo about needing to bring our own shampoo and such. But a trip to the Walgreens in Bar Harbor remedied that.

Definitely quiet, safe, roomy house for us four adults. Very clean. Set in a beautiful peaceful place just a short walk to the ocean. I would definitely stay here again.

We really enjoyed our week at Stepping Stone. The entire property was clean, comfortable and welcoming. The home is well appointed and maintained with care. The kitchen is roomy and equipped with everything needed for preparing meals and getting ready for your day. One of the highlights of our stay was the opportunity to meet our host Amy. We definitely recommend this property on the quiet side of Mt. Desert Island.

We were not aware of the drive into the property at night. That was a little. Concerning, But by morning, we were much more comfortable about where we were. When we drove into the driveway the first evening, there was a very large deer sitting in the yard and that’s what we drove into. Funny but also scary. It is a beautiful home and decorated very nicely and the rooms worked out great for my friend and I. Very well stocked with all you need for your stay.

The house is about 20 minutes from the busy Bar Harbor and tucked nicely in the woods. Deer and turkey daily visitors. House very comfortable and had all the necessary amenities. Amy alerted us immediately of electric outage and kept us updated. Overall a very nice house for us.

Stepping Stones was a wonderful home very well equipped with everything you would need for your stay. Home was very clean. Location was not far out of SWH. Nice front porch to sit out in the late afternoon and fire pit was convenient. Lovely yard with deer walking by. We enjoyed our stay.

Property has plenty of living space and nice decor. Beds are really comfy. I thought it was going to be on more of a neighborhood street but was really at the end of a narrow road through the woods. Lots of deer. Pretty cool location and easy to get around. Cell service in all of MDL is sketchy. Not related to this property only— it’s weak everywhere. Wifi was good tho!

Would stay here again. The kitchen was the best supplied for cooking of any VRBO we have stayed in. We spent our days hiking and being active. This was a great place to relax in the evening in a quiet neighborhood away from the crowds. We had one small issue that was handled promptly and with courtesy.

We booked this house for the summer vacation and we loved it. It is close to everything but far enough away to be nice and quiet. We didn't do much cooking, but the house was furnished with all of the stuff needed to cook if you want to. We sat out by the fire pit every night. I picture of the living room doesn't really show how room it is. We were pleasantly surprised at how much room there was.

The property is just as described by the listing with all the necessities (pack your own bathroom essentials such as shower gel/shampoo though) and comfort. The location is about 30 minutes drive to Bar Harbor, the island’s commercial center, however the local town (Southwest Harbor) is very quaint, and has great restaurants and bakeries. The Common Good Soup Kitchen serves very good popover on the mornings of Friday - Sunday! Charlotte’s Legendary Lobster is just couple of minutes drive away from the cottage, and has very good lobster dishes. All in all, we had a wonderful time in Acadia National Park, and this house certainly contributed to the experience.
