True North è un privato 20 +/- acro, splendido paesaggio retreat nascosto sul lato tranquillo di Bar Harbor. True North si trova a pochi passi da The Nature Conservancy / Blagdon Preserve, un bellissimo sentiero che porta a spiagge, area picnic e possibilità di vedere la fauna selvatica del Maine come foche, aquile, osprey, cervi e molto altro ancora! Long Pond è a 5 minuti di auto da nuoto, kayak, canoa e pattinaggio a bordo tutti possono essere affittati a Pond's End via National Park Canoe & Kayak Rentals. La spiaggia di Echo Lake e il sentiero escursionistico di montagna si trovano a circa 10 minuti in auto dal True North. Per un giro veloce e un gustoso morso da mangiare, Atlantic Brewing Company è meno di 5 minuti di auto, un ottimo posto da visitare e vedere come viene prodotta la birra di Maine e poi pranzare a Mainley Meats un ristorante stagionale all'aperto e all'aperto. L'ingresso al Parco Nazionale di Acadia, in città Bar Harbor, Southwest Harbor e Northeast Harbor sono tutti a 15 minuti di auto. True North è situato in posizione centrale sull'isola del deserto del Monte, che rende facile scegliere una diversa destinazione isola ogni giorno! His vacation home is amazing! Very clean and had everything we need plus more. The beds are very comfortable and plenty of furniture for everyone to sit together in living and dining areas. The basement activity room is amazing and we could barely get the kids to leave the house! This was our third stay. We love it at True North.

Beautiful and private property! So much room to spread out in and had anything we could possibly need! It’s close to the park but far enough away from the hub bub of Bar Harbor where you can enjoy the peace and quiet. Communication with Stephanie (the owner) was promp and informative.

An amazing, roomy house with a ton of amenities and ways for families to spend the time, and in a really central location to most of the things you will want to do on the island. Great hiking, paddling, and restaurants within a 5 minute drive.

Our family enjoyed this beautiful home to stay at for our vacation to Acadia National Park . The host Stephanie was very responsive . The home was spacious and extremely well stocked with everything you could ever want or need to make your stay even more wonderful . It was quiet, secluded and within 15 minute drive to Acadia National park. We enjoyed all of the amenities such as the outdoor fire pit with wood included , grill , game room and many pots and pans for cooking , bath towels . Honestly it was a wonderful stay and we would definitely go back again .

This was the best rental my family has used for vacation throughout New England. It was a perfect location for exploring the Bar Harbor area and Acadia National Park. Set back from the road, the property was quiet and welcoming for humans and animals. Well supplied for young children through adults. Definitely worth the price ( which actually was pretty low compared to smaller rentals!).

Excellent Location to stay

The description of the property is accurate. We really enjoyed our stay. The house was a great fit for our family. It was easy to travel to different areas on the island. If we ever make it back to to island, we hope to stay here again.

Quiet and lovely

Tons of room for everyone. Could make our own lobster, so yes the kitchen is fully stocked. The basement is great for a raining day. Steph was easy to communicate with.

Excellent place to stay

This was on of the best VRBO rentals we ever used. House was conveniently located on 20 acres of great forest, very quiet, close to Acadia park and many local attractions. For 6 adults it was just perfect, 3 large bedrooms, very clean, kitchen had everything we needed ( I mean everything! - special thank you!). Very comfortable beds! Basement with many activities! After long hikes in Acadia it was very nice to cook home dinner and enjoy a cup of tea on the deck and a good movie with friends. Stephanie is great host, she responded to all my questions, right away, and we did follow many of her recommendations with great success. So, we had a dream vacation mostly because of this great property and Stephanie.

Home Away From Home

We thoroughly enjoyed our week long stay at True North! The house is just lovely and had everything we needed! The kitchen was well equipped, the beds were comfy and there was so much there to do that we could have just stayed in all week! There were so many toys and games for the kids and the adults. We really enjoyed the air hockey, pool and ping pong tables! We also enjoyed the fire pit and short nature trail in the backyard. In addition to the house being just perfect, Stephanie was an incredible host! She was so kind and helpful from sharing tips on things to do/see in the area to leaving a little welcome gift for us upon arrival. She, by far, is the best host we have ever had! Thank you Stephanie and family for sharing True North with us! We had a WONDERFUL stay!

Great Property

True North was the perfect location for us to explore all parts of MDI! The property was well stocked and had plenty of room for the seven of us. The property manager was very easy to communicate with and very responsive. We would definitely stay again if we came back to the area!

Our stay at True North was wonderful! Everything we needed was available and home was very clean, well stocked, and extras provided. This included firewood for campfire, snacks, and all kinds of games. Communication with Stephanie was prompt and easy. Wonderful private setting and very peaceful! Amazing house with quiet atmosphere

Our family spent a week in Maine and we LOVED the house. With the house being set back off the road and in a quiet area it was exactly what we were looking for, but it was also close enough to all activities in Acadia that we weren't spending our whole vacation drivig. The house was especially well furnished and supllied with all the little things like garbage bags, toilet paper, Ziploc bags, camp chairs, fire wood etc that just makes it nice to not have to worry about it. Stephanie was also a great host providing a welcome gift (we love SMORES) and a packet of information including tips for Acadia and the surrounding areas as well as places to eat. It was and amazing property for our vacation and I would highly recommend to anyone!

Loved True North

Loved True North, everything was charming, clean, and well stocked. Played a few games of pool in the game room and used the grill to boil lobsters from the co op. The home is also back in the woods off the main road a bit which isn't obvious from the pictures, and the extra privacy was a nice surprise.
