“The restaurant was excellent although the service was slow as there was no Maitre d' at the door to welcome and we had to wait quite a few minutes to be seated. However, the waiter cleared a table for us efficiently upon request. The setting was perfect for our outdoor weekend: rapidly flowing river outside our window and lovely views into the valley. The room was comfortable and spacious fitting myself, my husband and grown son adequately.”

“Fantastic base for the lake district. Staff were all really friendly. Site was quiet. No being woken up at night or in the morning. Leisure facilities were decent for a small site. My child had fun in the hour fun session they have in the pool. Crazy golf, ping pong, tennis and a playground for younger kids. The watersports centre is resonably priced. “We came to celebrate our anniversary & when checking in got a lovely surprise that they upgraded us! They even laid rose petals out on the bed! Room was absolutely gorgeous with the most unreal view, comfy bed & jacuzzi in the room too. Spa was £20 each for 24 hour access which we found really good as most hotels only give a 2 hour slot, it was really pretty & relaxing too. Lobby/bar is amazing, the interior is gorgeous!!
