We took the executive decision to spend £25+ more between two of us to get an apartment with two bedrooms instead of sharing a twin room, and it was the best money we spent that weekend. The apartment was massive - the photos really didn't do it justice - and it had everything we needed. The parking was a major plus, the area felt safe, and it was only a short distance from two decent pubs and a good curry house. The beds were comfortable, it was really clean, and communication with owner Louise was wonderful - a real class act.
The only criticisms I'd have are the lack of shower gel in the showers - apartments I've stayed in always have a couple of disposables to hand, or a permanent dispenser (but it was only an issue because I forgot my own bottle!) - and the Blaupunkt HDTVs were a bit poor (bad response to remotes, poor sound quality, picture quality a bit off) - but we weren't there to watch tons on the box anyway. It was nice to have Sky, mind, but it's £2 for a remote, so be sure to request it (we didn't end up using it, but it was worth a couple of quid just in case!).
Even more lovely was the fact I'd left my phone charger behind - but the owners wrapped it in a plastic bag and slipped it under our car door handle!
