Cape Breton Cottage, Off the Beaten Path ... Spettacolare oceano / vista sulle montagne!

  • Se siete alla ricerca di qualcosa fuori dai sentieri battuti, l'avete trovato! Out sulla punta settentrionale di Cape Breton Island, Nuova Scozia, il casolare si trova a St. Villaggio di Margaret, a Bay St. Lawrence. Dal ponte anteriore piede 8x28 si dispone di una panoramica, senza ostacoli, vista poco sviluppata come il sole tramonta nell'oceano. In stagione, si può godere l'aragosta o neve granchio locale pescato nella baia di fronte a voi.

    Non lontano il Cabot Trail, il cottage è una buona base per il golf a Highland Links in Ingonish (uno dei migliori corsi in tutto il mondo), il whale watching o pesca d'altura dal molo del vicino del pescatore o il Hike Festival Highlands . Parco Nazionale di Cape Breton Highlands è a soli 10 chilometri di distanza dove ci sono sentieri per escursioni e altre attività in estate. I nostri punti di famiglia almeno un alce ed un orso in questo parco ogni anno! E 'una grande emozione per i bambini!

    Proprio nel villaggio è un accogliente centro comunitario con connessione internet (e ping pong per i bambini e un canestro da basket). C'è un supermercato locale con tutte le basi. Proprio vicino al centro della comunità è un chiosco di gelati che è grande per una cena veloce pure.

    E 'un paradiso del birdwatching. Guarda le aquile volano, i Guillemots volano dentro e fuori le scogliere sottostanti, o le sule tuffano nell'oceano dal cottage. Si potrebbe anche vedere il baccello occasionale delle balene nella baia, mentre si sta seduti rilassarsi o leggere sul ponte.

This was a superb location. The views are spectacular. It is isolated, which is what we were looking for. It was nothing it locked. I would highly recommend this location to anyone who does not mind some isolation.

Great getaway

Absolutely beautiful location, remote without being incredibly isolated. Great spot for access to hiking, biking, or just laying low. It had everything you need with a general store nearby, a kitchen and fridge, good shower, etc.

First and foremost Meagan was fantastic with all aspects of their wonderful wonderful house! Can’t say enough good things about her communication with me other than to say it was outstanding. I would recommend their house to anyone who is looking for an unbelievable view and coziness! We enjoyed every minute there! The privacy that comes with this home is unparalleled. It’s perfect for 2-4 adults and possibly with children. It has everything one needs to get the most out of their stay in this beautiful area!!!

Wow, what a wonderful spot on this earth

Small, cozy cabin at the end of the world. What a wonderful place to stay. We absolutely loved it. The kitchen is well equipped and we didn‘t miss anything. The beds were comfortable and we loved having 2 rooms (a snoring problem), yet so close next to each other. We would always love to come again. Great little harbor with lots of lobster fishing going on. The supermarket is right in the little village and well equipped.

Excellent property, exactly as shown in the add

We had a great time at the cottage. It was clean and has everything you need. We spent our days walking the beach and hiking some local trails. Afterwards, you can walk down to the wharf and buy lobster right off the boat. We did and loved it! For us it was a bit overcast for a good sunset but it would be a great spot to view from. If you want a secluded fishing community for some peace and quiet, while still having a lot of sites to see, this is it.

The cottage was a silent peaceful spectacular and wonderous pleasure. The views will instantly soothed a sole. The cottage is cute simple but adorable. Comfortable and cozy. With views from every window stunning. At night the stars shone so bright it was mesmerizing. Day by day night by night the channel marker off the coast sounded like a mournful whale. It became a calming feature you wanted and got very use to. Now being away from it,it is really missed. The mezmerizing sound is in the past. But hopefully will be heard again in the future. Thank you for that.

Worth the Drive - Trust Us!

This is our second summer visit to this beautiful cottage, and we've already booked for next year! Amazing space stocked with everything you need. The cottage has stunning views from all directions and in the most beautiful place in the world. Beaches, hikes, the national park, whales! Truly a gem.

Amazing spot

We had a wonderful stay at the cottage. The location was spectacular with gorgeous sunsets and so private. The cottage had everything we needed to cook some meals and enjoy the evenings on the deck. We used it as a base to explore the park and nearby beaches and hikes. Everyone we met and communicated with - the owners and the caretaker - were incredibly helpful and responsive. It's definitely on our list for a return visit!

The most stunning view in Nova Scotia

We have been staying here for years and adore it and Bay St. Lawrence. Stunning views in all types of weather and the charming cottage is perfectly set up for a week or longer stay. We hike, blueberry pick, whale watch (have spotted from the deck many times), fish, golf kayak, swim and enjoy the local restaurants. We will be back (again)!

Loved this rustic cabin on the ocean

We were looking for a place off the beaten path, and this suited us very well. Although we went out for lunch and dinner, the place was well provisioned and you could certainly cook meals there. Enjoyed the French Press coffeemaker, but there was a drip pot too if that's your preference. Everything was very clean.Note that if you are staying outside of the July/August season like we did, the close-by eating options (Sea Shack, Bay Cafe, Chucky's) are not open, so be prepared to head down to Morrison's or Angie's. We did have the pizza from ACA and it was very good.The water is pumped in from a well, which means that the water goes off when the electricity goes off, so fill a few pots of water so you have them when necessary.

Breathtaking views and a return to the simple life…

This was our 2nd visit back to this amazing part of the world, and we loved it. The location is perfect for an East coast experience, and the cabin is simple and very comfortable with all of the basics covered…it is the exact balance that we want to unplug and unwind, and we will certainly will continue to cherish our time there for years to come!! We wouldn’t change a thing and would highly recommend this gem!

Our stay was absolutely terrific although the weather was not the greatest (Hurrican Lee!). We loved the location and the small fishing village where the property is located is so beautiful. I just can't say enough about the area. The house was so comfortable, clean and in a spot that is gorgeous. We loved it. We will come back if the owners will have us!!!
