“The Sun is a regular place we stay when in Coniston. Staff are great, rooms are good and the location is perfect!”

“Centrally located, near the lake, allows dogs. Needs grip strips on the stairs for dogs. Gets warm when the sun shines, at the top of the building! Is on the main road so some traffic noise. Is a fabulous property and we had a wonderful stay, would book again.”

“Rooms are a decent size and good facilities. Bar is great with a good selection of beers and spirits. The food is fantastic! I have a dietary requirement and they catered for me and were very knowledgeable of the ingredients in the meals. Thoroughly recommend staying here. ”

“Great 2 night stay in this lovely old inn. Friendly staff. Enjoyed the full breakfast and had dinner here both nights. Very close to the Beatrix Potter home which made visiting easy.”

“Parking space was a great plus. A nice old traditional pub with plenty tables outside. Bed comfortable enough for one night stay. Good, powerful shower. Delicious full english breakfast. Dining room was a little fusty and in need of a some TLC and the evening meal was a bit overpriced for what it was but still an overall charming stay in this gorgeous location. ”
