The Best
We are elderly, 70 and 85 and this home was perfect for us. It is very comfortable with fantastic views of Lake Superior. We tend to spend more time at the home rather than out so comfort ranks above ultra stylish. One bedroom is on ground floor and offers privacy for the handicapped. The gas fireplace was great. We hope to visit again.

Anniversary trip
This was our 2nd time staying here. Once again, had a very relaxing time celebrating our anniversary. The property is beautiful and very clean. Everything we needed in the kitchen to do our cooking. We will be back again.

Perfect North Shore Getaway
Very cozy townhouse on the shore of Lake Superior. The location was great - a short drive to many state parks. We enjoyed making our own breakfast and dinner each day. The jetted tub was so relaxing after a day of hiking.

Wonderful Accommodations
The property owners have done a wonderful job of maintaining this rental. We stayed here 5 years ago and we felt the property hadn't aged a day since then. We had everything we needed to be comfortable right down to the smallest detail. The bathrooms and kitchen were well stocked and the entire home including flooring, walls and furniture were all in great shape. I appreciated the owners attention to detail regarding instructions for check-in, check-out, and how to operate things within the home. Very well done. The morning sunrises over the lake from both the upstairs bedroom and the entire downstairs were outstanding. We really appreciate the opportunity to stay here.

Exploring the North Shore
We couldn’t have been happier with our stay. This home was in the perfect location for traveling up and down the shore with great access to bike paths. The view of the lake with the morning sunrise was everything we hoped for. Very clean, cozy, and well maintained home.

Lovely!
This was the perfect property for our annual mother/son getaway! The owners take such care to make sure guests feel welcome and comfortable. The view of the lake is stunning and having a deck to enjoy it makes it even better. The beds were extremely comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked if you're eating in. We love the location of Beaver Bay as it's so convenient to the gorgeous state parks and only an hour away from Grand Marais for the perfect day trip and the world's best donuts! Thank you Jo for being such a wonderful host!

Peaceful gem
This place was tucked in the trees, beautiful and peaceful! Easy access. The owners have it decorated beautifully, amazing amenities and more “and then some” than what I have ever seen at a house rental! Would totally stay here again and share it with friends!

Well-stocked and impeccably clean
We've stayed in many VRBOs on the North Shore, and this might have been the most well-stocked place, including every kitchen item one could need, LOTS of spices, extra blankets, soap, toilet paper, movies (DVD and VHS), a variety of games, and more. It was also amazingly clean. To top it off, Jo was so easy to communicate with and responded very quickly. The location is ideal with such close proximity to Tettegouche, Split Rock, and Gooseberry Falls state parks.

December Winter Getaway Weekend!
The home was warm and inviting upon our arrival and was spotless with many luxuries that we all appreciated. The hosts were responsive to our questions before we arrived and made our stay, relaxing and carefree. Amazing lake views by the fireplace!! We would recommend this home to anyone looking for a relaxing place to stay while visiting the NorthShore.

Perfect Place in a Perfect Place
We had a perfect time celebrating out 53rd anniversary in this lovely home. The photos were an exact depiction of what we saw. The house was clean, the decor simple cozy, and even seasonal! Lots of notes for use of appliances were helpful, the cozy blankets and furnishings were appreciated. It was delightful! Location was spot on...view of lake, nearness to great food, everything...pretty much perfect!

Lake Superior getaway
Perfect location along the North Shore located half way between Duluth and Grand Marais. Views of the Lake Superior sunrises were outstanding! This is one of the cleanest, well maintained and equipped homes we have rented. Jo was easy to communicate with and a wonderful host. Well deserving of its 5* rating!

Great time on the North Shore
This property is great and Jo is an awesome host! Jo was so easy to work with and helped to accommodate us when an incoming snow storm pushed our arrival up by a day. When we arrived at the property it was easy check-in and the home was one of the cleanest and well kept VRBOs we have stayed at. Everything about our stay, the property, and working with Jo, was great, we hope to return in the future!

Another wonderful stay in Beaver Bay
This condo is exactly as described- clean, welcoming, well-stocked, in a great location with an amazing view. What a treat to arrive after a long drive from the city and hours out hiking to just be able to park out front, enter a code and go inside. Jo is a fantastic host, very responsive and helpful. This was our first time in this rental, but second time in the Windsong complex. We hope to return again soon!

The townhome was as described and very well stocked with anything you might need. The view of Lake Superior is just what we were hoping for. The complex was very quiet and close to all kinds of North Shore options. Star gazing : excellent.

Great location, used as hone base to hike in the area and canoe in the BWCA. Very nice place. Two beds two baths. I went with my adult daughter but would be perfect for two couples. Loved it!

Relaxing experience
We had a wonderful stay at the property! Everything was clean, the kitchen was well apportioned, and there were plenty of clean towels for our family. Beds were comfy, and there was a great selection of seating throughout. Jo was very responsive to questions, and we'd definitely stay here again! I'll gladly have that amazing view of the lake and relaxing deck to view stars any time!

Almost Perfect
The place was great -- attractive, roomy, clean, quiet, a wonderful view, and stocked with everything we could need. The only thing that wasn't perfect was the shower head in the downstairs bathroom that needs to be replaced, a small detail that made a difference in the mornings.

We are so happy to hear you appreciated our home, we strive to make sure our home is comfortable, clean and well stocked. I apologize that you were disappointed by the shower. I've never heard that from anyone so I had our cleaner check it. It was set to more of a mist than a full force shower setting. A prior guest must have preferred a less forceful water flow. I will replace it with a handheld shower so the dial to adjust it it easier to see and change.

North Shore Friends and Lake Charter Fishing
We had a wonderful weekend at Jo & Bob's townhome! The townhome has very clean, decorated wonderfully and the view was outstanding. It was furnished with all the items you need and then some extras! Our friends and us had a wonderful time enjoying the outside balcony and also going on a Lake fishing charter with Andy at Tail Gunner Charters. It is close to several places to eat. Our favorite is the Rustic Inn in Castle Danger. We had to go back twice just for more Pie. We all would recommend staying here. We will be back again. Thanks, Jo and Bob!

Perfect Getaway
The weather was not perfect, as trails were already wet before more rain and fog during our stay. But, we didn’t mind as this location has such great views and so comfortable for games, reading, enjoying the fireplace, watching the lake (including a storm over the water), and a wonderful deck when the skies cleared. We visit the shore several times each year, and stay in various rentals. This was our first time in this rental and it was top notch - clean, comfortable, well stocked kitchen, great location, and did I mention the view? This definitely goes on our list of favorites, and Jo was great to work with too!

Awesome north shore getaway
We stay somewhere every spring for our anniversary and this year’s choice of a privately owned Windsong townhouse was the perfect option! The amenities and process for arrival and departure were clearly explained and easy to follow. You can’t beat the location and Jo did a phenomenal job of making sure everything was going fine! We’d definitely stay there again and hope to bring a close couple of friends who usually don’t get to experience things that far north.
