Rustico autentico Michigan Log Cabin

Allontanati in un ambiente incontaminato, un luogo praticamente intatto e incontaminato, ovvero Beaver Island. La nostra cabina (Kelly's Point) si trova a 40 piedi dal Lago Michigan su un pacco di 2 acri. I panorami del Lago Michigan e delle Isole Fox sono spettacolari!

Arrivare a Beaver Island: la prima fermata è Charlevoix, MI, una città portuale del Lago Michigan situata a circa 250 miglia a nord di Detroit. Puoi anche volare negli aeroporti di Pelston o Traverse City e collegarti a Beaver Island Ferry o Island Airways a Charlevoix. Da Charlevoix prendi un veloce volo di 20 minuti o 2 ore di traghetto piacevole sull'Isola di Smeraldo. Ad ogni modo, è un'avventura straordinaria!

Quando arriverai sull'isola troverai un posto che ti riporterà indietro nel tempo. Lento, paziente, amichevole e bello! Potresti voler fermarti allo Shamrock per un drink dopo il viaggio in traghetto o prendere la panoramica in auto di 20 minuti fino a Kelly's Point. La distanza è misurata dal tempo sull'isola, la maggior parte delle strade non è stata asfaltata ... è solo un altro modo per rallentare!

Quando raggiungi Kelly's Point, il viaggio avviene attraverso un sentiero alberato in una vasta area aperta con alberi sparsi lungo il perimetro. Kelly's Point fu costruito per la prima volta negli anni '30 come una cabina sull'isola originale. È in procinto di essere modernizzato, c'è un bagno interno funzionante, doccia esterna, lavello della cucina ed elettricità. Kelly's Point è molto affascinante, con viste spettacolari sul lago Michigan. È di 900 mq. piedi, ha una grande veranda e una spiaggia meravigliosa. Tutti gli arredi sono nuovi o antichi. È responsabilità del locatario portare le proprie lenzuola e asciugamani. Kelly's Point ha un arredamento affascinante con un layout aperto che comprende 11 finestre, con vista sul Lago Michigan. C'è una camera da letto con 2 letti singoli. È un rifugio perfetto per 2 persone!
Puoi goderti un buon libro con vista sul lago Michigan, camminare per chilometri di spiaggia sabbiosa chiara, incontaminata e libera, fare una nuotata nell'acqua limpida del lago, esplorare l'isola e oltre 100 miglia di strade, pescare su uno dei 5 entroterra laghi, marshmallow arrosto nella buca per il fuoco sulla spiaggia, ammirare la vasta gamma di stelle, scoprire alcune delle altre isole dell'Arcipelego, visitare il centro benessere per un massaggio, giocare nove al campo da golf di Beaver, lounge nel patio, cocktail da Nina, Donnegal Bay per godersi il tramonto, visitare il centro biologico CMU, oi 2 fari dell'isola, Little Sand Bay, Iron Ore Bay o semplicemente non fare nulla! Questa è una vacanza che non dimenticherai mai e ti lascerai davvero riposato.

Lovely little break from society in your very rustic piece of paradise. It's only a 1/2 bath as there is no shower or bath facility. When you say bring towels we naturally assumed bath towels not kitchen. Lol. Great experience .

This was our 3rd year staying here and we have never been disappointed! It's a spectacular place to stay. There's so much rustic charm in the place. You see so much wildlife and the sunrises are beautiful. The entire island is like going back in time. There's not a single thing we would change. The owners are great as well. Our power went out and I messaged them to see if they could find out when it would be back on and they responded quickly. It ended up coming right back on though. We are already planning our trip for next year!!

Everything was amazing and comfortable and relaxing, only “issues” was a giant spider we came across in the bathroom plus all the little flies and spiders everywhere else but for a cabin on the water in beaver island it’s pretty much spotless

The cabin was like stepping back in time(with some modern convenience)! Beautiful blue waters lapping at the beach. Warm cozy fires in the evening. Brilliant night sky views. We enjoyed the island, the bays and especially the cabin!

This was the perfect spot to have a quiet get-away. It was nice to be on the south end of the island and close to all the natural features of the island. In one word...peaceful.

This cabin was perfect for our weekend birdwatching trip to Beaver Island. We actually had many birds right at the cabin! Although we were in "high bug season" the screens on all the windows allowed us to open everything up and enjoy the crisp spring air and the sound of the waves on the beach. This cabin is rustic, exactly as the advertising says, but is clean and has everything you will need. Keep in mind, there is no place for groceries, etc on the south end of the island. Make a stop at the one grocery store on the island in town before you drive to the cabin. We enjoyed the weekend here so much as did our pup, Maddie!

Cozy, rustic cottage right on the water. Secluded and quiet aside from the sound of the waves on water and the wind. Warm fireplace inside and fresh crisp air off the water flowing through the windows if you wish. Simply beautiful, relaxing, and special. Loved it, thank you!

This was our second summer staying here and we absolutely love the location! We're so glad there is now an enclosure around the shower. We definitely plan to return for many more summers.

Although the location of this cabin is spectacular, each day (and upon first entering) we had to deal with water snakes. This was unsettling to say the least. We paid for 4 nights but only stayed 2. In all I had to deal with 5 snakes over our brief stay.

We were suppose to stay at Kelly's Point but received a call from the owners that there was a Snake problem so they would have to place us at their private residence on the Island which was Eagles Nest. It was beautiful! Log cabin on the lake with kayaks and bikes to use! It was Private and quiet! It could have used a good dusting and cleaning but very nice!

This cabin is the perfect getaway! We celebrated our 10th anniversary here and couldn't have asked for a more peaceful and beautiful place to stay. We loved the rustic atmosphere and only wish we could have stayed longer!

This is definitely an old cabin. Takes you back in time. If you want peace and quiet Then this is the place to be. Seen a few snakes and the mosquitoes were kind of rough but I would definitely go back.

We were there from sept 16th through 19th. The cabin is old as expected. It was clean but there are many personal items around that have been collecting dust. The queen size mattress is so old and smelly. Definitely time for a new mattress. That would make many happy customers. In addition to bedsheets, I recommend bringing your own mattress pad, blankets and pillows. Maybe extra flat sheets for the couch and chairs. The living room furnitures are fine but cushions felt scratchy. Although we never really spent time in the living room. Back porch is a nice place to hang out and look at the lake. It would be nice to have comforter chairs to sit on. There is only one old chair with cushion and a plastic chair. Bring your own lawn chairs if you can. Kitchen is sufficient. There's indoor toilet and outside shower, which surprisingly nice. No snakes or mice that we can see. Few flies, no mosquitoes. Due to strong winds, the waves were very loud, that, at night, it sounded like a hurricane. The morning we left, the wind died down so the waves sounded like normal waves. Very pleasant. We brought our own vehicle and kayaks. We hiked few trails that lead to different remote beaches. All are just gorgeous. Cable creek beach, iron ore beach, Donegal bay, little sand bay, Bonners landing, karl erber nature preserve. We packed sandwiches and have picnics. We had dinner at Beaver Island lodge - way over priced. Will not going back there. Shamrock restaurant was good but still overpriced. Water was pleasantly warm enough to swim in. In summary, we had a very pleasant stay. You get used to the cabin after the first day. There was no tv and dvd player, which was fine because we didn't need it after all. Beach by the cabin is very rocky. Which is fine because I love rocks and sandy beaches are everywhere. All points are rocky and the bays are sandy.

If you want a relaxing weekend on the water, this is the place for you. Especially if you enjoy a handcrafted cabin and rustic charm. Absolutely can't say enough great things about the place. Great for couples. Just book a stay and see for yourself. Make sure you rent a car from Duffy, you will need one as its a 30 minute trip into town.

We had a wonderful time staying at Kellys Point. Its like camping but you have electricity and a real toilet. Bring everything you need, including bottled water for drinking and cooking. Overall we loved it!

We couldn't have asked for a more peaceful, tranquil, beautiful location!!! Just feet from the shore of Lake Michigan this cabin was everything we could have asked for. Definitely rustic but for us that was part of the appeal. We were initially nervous about the outside shower (it does face the only close neighbors) but we brought a tarp and hung it up and it worked perfectly. The breezes coming in all the windows at night was heavenly!! We're already making plans to come back for longer next summer.
