Rental had not been cleaned prior to our check in
We arrived late to discover our unit had not been cleaned from the previous groups stay. While we had good communication from the owner earlier in the day we could not reach him for almost an hour once we realized the dirty condo. We were told to change our own sheets and I cleaned the toilets which had human waste on them and I cleaned the fridge and counter tops. The housekeeper came the next morning and did a quick cleaning job as we were in the unit on our vacation . Once we moved past that we than discovered about half the dishes in the cupboards had to be cleaned and bowls weee ducked taped to keep them from leaking ( per owner comments ) . This unit needs closer monitoring if its guests are to have a clean and safe stay. If there is another one available I would rent a different one. Perhaps this happens more than I realize but it greatly affected the ease and enjoyment of our trip.
