![Beckhole station site/remains. View SW, to the end of the line, which had until 1865 been the upper end of a rope-worked incline section of the Grosmont - Pickering section of the 1836 Whitby & Pickering Railway - horse-worked. In 1865 the NER built a deviation from Grosmont to replace the incline, but the stub to Beckhole was retained, for goods working, also a passenger service in summer 1908-1914. Britannia Grand Hotel Scarborough
Nice room but must have had smokers in it previously before us because it stunk of smoke 🚬 which was a shame because the room was nice! But the smokey smell was very unpleasant. Apart from that no other problems at all. Me and my husband are none smokers so this was an issue for us unfortunately. ...

The location of the cottage is fantastic. In a quiet, peaceful location overlooking the sea. Had everything we needed. Very easy to relax.
