Always a great stay! Mahalo to Brian & Carol for being such great hosts. There were even improvements this time as they have replaced the TV with a huge new one, added a heat pump for hot or cold air in the bedroom and additional device hub for all our electronics charging. We love the solitude of the place and we’ve now found a great ice cream shop (no sugar/dairy chocolate) right in Port Moody! We’ll be back.

Beautiful carriage house in lovely Belcarra

We can't say enough to express how pleased we were with the accomodations and location of this beautiful apartment. Our host, Brain and Carol, were very gracious and helpful, ensuring that we had everything we needed for a pleasant stay. The property is beautifully furnished, making you feel at home and not staying in a rental. We hope to visit again and will pass on this wonderful property to friends and family who may visit Vancouver in the future.

Perfect quiet area minutes from everything the lower mainland offers. The property is fantastic, the hosts were great, the area is amazing. No traffic, no noise, beautiful park across the street and the inlet on the other side.

Lovely place, close to everything!

The rental was cute! It had everything you needed to stay for a decent vacation. I mostly was in and out of the city, but the car ride to the train station and beyond was very quick and easy! Brian and Carol were lovely and made sure to check-in and make sure you had everything you needed!

Delightful

This carriage house far surpassed all of my expectations. The pictures don’t do it justice! Close to hiking trails with beautiful views, parks and the delightful city of Port Moody. The hosts are friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend a stay here. We plan to return soon!

Lovely wooded getaway

After the bustle of Vancouver, this was a nice relaxing week in the wilderness, but close enough to town that we could get groceries, go out to dinner, and even get transportation all the way to Whistler. Attentive property owner and a good accommodation, with a full-size kitchen, full bath and laundry machines, which saved us some packing. Right on the water and very close to several good hikes. Lots of fun!

Home away from home

Beautiful location. Superb Unit. Owners thought of every detail a traveler might need in a home away from home and were very communicative, helpful, and willing to provide any information someone new to the area would need. If your intention is to make most or all of your meals while traveling be sure to stop at the grocery before you arrive. It is about 10 minutes away in Port Moody (easy to get to) but having your food ready to go allows you to stay more local and avoid cars if Quiet rural atmosphere is what you were looking for. Not many restaurants close. But good brewery scene and a great authentic mexican one on Clarke St. We were not here long enough to really check out all that you can see and do here We loved the complete silence at night with the windows open and the water is so close. Definitely a place to come back to.

Charming retreat for nature lovers

I needed a place to stay for a week while in the area for work and this carriage house in Belcarra was perfect. It was exceptionally quiet and allowing for a peaceful retreat after work. Brain and Carol were welcoming and ensured the place was clean and well-equipped. Brian offered many suggestions for trail runs and hikes which I took advantage of. I look forward to returning.

Best Place Between Forest & Sea

This is our second time staying at this charming carriage house in Belcarra next to Indian Arm. Very close to many nature trails and convenience of shops and eateries. Very quiet neighborhood but not too isolated. Will definitely stay here again soon!

Perfect

We spent 3 weeks on honeymoon in this idyllic location, with a short break to Whistler. The location is great for getting the Canadian outdoor experience, as well as the city life, as the transport network is so good to Port Moody and the bus service to Belcarra outside the door is great. There is so much to see and do but not enough time, so will definitely be back. Brian and Carol are the perfect hosts, with nothing too much trouble. Would highly recommend

Perfect Hideaway

Cozy coach house

WE were given great information how to get there and hiking suggestions! The hosts were keen to our needs and willingly provided. They have a canoe and bikes we could use. That was an awesome service. The area was very clean and quiet!

A Lovely Retreat between the Forest and the Sea

Belcarra is frequently described as a village between the forest and the sea, and this description is well-deserved. Our stay at Brian and Carol's Belcarra rental unit provided a wonderful retreat for us. We stayed from May 7 to May 12, 2023. For our first day at this unit, we arrived late since we drove from the Seattle International Airport to Belcarra. Although late, Brian greeted us and graciously acquainted us with the unit and its amenities to ensure that we were sufficiently acclimated. When selecting this unit, we understood that we were adding driving time to/from our Vancouver excursions; yet, after a busy day of visiting Vancouver or partaking in a whale cruise or a day trip to Victoria, we looked forward to ending the day at this beautiful Belcarra unit. It was peaceful, relaxing and energized us for our next daily adventure. Brian and Carol were thoughtful when determining how to furnish this unit. It is not only comfortable, it is also appealing. The kitchen is well-equipped with quality appliances. And the views from many windows are breathtaking views of the forest. For us, a bonus was the drive to/from our daily excursions because of the beautiful scenes of ocean, mountains and forest. We have stayed in several rental units from Hawaii to France, and in our opinion, this is one of the best. Thank you, Brian and Carol, for your warm welcome and your lovely rental unit. It was easy to call it home during our stay.

Magical!

We loved our stay. The Carriage House is simply perfect - so comfortable with all the amenities you'll need. If you love nature, you can't beat the network of breathtaking trails in Belcarra Park which is literally across the street. A public bus runs every half hour so you can hit Port Moody's brewery row, enjoy some delicious beers and food truck ware, and return to this remote location with ease. A simply stunning location, and Brian and Carol were very attentive and generous hosts too. 10 out of 10!
