A wonderful B & B in a scenic little village close to everything. The accommodations, food, and especially the staff were first rate. Highly recommend it!

It was well-maintained and in a quiet, small community. There is a nearby walking trail along the river that is lovely. Folks are friendly.

This place is gorgeous! The food is divine! Staff is extremely attentive. Extremely clean! Lovely grounds, facilities and room amenities - plush towels, high ceilings in well furnished new bathrooms with new fixtures without a speck of dust or wear. Romantic colorings and decorations; it’s positively dreamy. 20/10 we will come back! Visit Wishmaker, you’ll fall in love with it! Patina was incredible. This woman is seriously talented when it comes to juggling, in awe of her abilities to ask and remember what every guest needs while exuding grace and happiness! She went out of her way to help us and absolutely made this trip for us. Thank you so much Wishmaker staff!

This house which is over 100 years old has been completely and meticulously updates and is simply beautiful. The rooms were al furnished recently, the beds were comfortable and the bathroom updates and modern. The staff was delightful and the breakfast and small bar in the lobby were a real plus.

Feels like staying with good friends. My husband works nights, so he was able to g o downstairs to living room while I slept. Wines are awesome, staff is excellent. Relaxing, beautiful rooms.

Beautiful bed and breakfast
Beautiful bed-and-breakfast in a small town in rural Ohio. Fantastic personal service. Our room was huge and very clean with excellent amenities. The breakfast was very good but you don’t have a lot of options. You get whatever the chef makes that day, but they do accommodate special request such as vegetarian. My only recommendation would be to add a king size bed to that large room rather than a queen size. The mattress was also a bit soft for us.

Perfect get away
Very lovely Bed and Breakfast, has its own restaurant and winery. In Belllville Ohio . Very clean I give it 3 stars out of 4 , I recommend staying up stairs , we stayed in the Alta room which is downstairs , very nice , but could hear the kitchen Morning and night . That’s my only complaint. Wine and cheesecake was very good. I would stay here again, just in a different room.

I rarely spend time endorsing products or services and, in this case, am even more hesitant because I don’t want the price to go up after others start hearing good things about the Wishmaker House. I’m making an exception because our experience was exceptional. Bottom line, it was a privilege to stay there. This B&B is more a boutique hotel that was absolutely impeccable. Craftsmanship from the basement to the top 1200 square foot bedroom was the best I have ever seen and I’m in the construction business. The service was non stop but not annoyingly over the top. Breakfast was tasty, unique and plentiful. New owners were eager to please and friendly. Enjoyed it all!

Beautifully updated historic home with a bustling wine bar Th-Sun. Excellent breakfast too! Booked my stay as a last resort - it was the closest available room to Kenyon College at the end of the semester. Next time, I'll come a few days early and enjoy all Wishmaker House, Bellville and the surrounding area has to offer.

All the comfort's of home. Karen and Cassie were such a pleasure. I'm glad I was able to take advantage of the balcony one day while I was there. Upon my arrival I met the Mayor of Bellville in the park across from Wishmaker. Everyone is so nice in this community. Wish I had more time to spend there to enjoy. Beautifully decorated! This is a must if you are in the area!

A must stay if you're in the area
The Wishmaker is a beautiful B&B. The staff were all friendly and very helpful. The room was incredible, the epitome of comfort. It was stocked with complimentary soft drinks and snacks. The bathroom had a deep, soaking tub, which was amazing. The bar downstairs is stocked with craft brews and great wine (they have their own winery). Each morning the cook asked when we wanted breakfast and made it to order when we were ready. Favorite was an open faced egg sandwich with homemade fig jam, bacon, and smoked gouda. They seem committed to locally sourced food and doing things farm to table. Bellevile itself is a sleepy little town. There's a pizza joint, Fast Eddie's, that's open late but everything else seemed to be closed by 6 p.m. at the latest. It is within driving distance of plenty of other stuff, so that wasn't a drawback for us. Fri & Sat night were the only time the place was busy. They seem to get lots of walk in traffic for the bar & kitchen. We stayed in the only room where children are permitted; just something to be aware of. Parking is off street and free behind the building. The patio has nice shade so it was comfortable despite the summer heat and they had live music both Fri and Sat night. There was a farmer's market on Sat morning next door. We will definitely stay there again when we're in the area. This is the type of local business that deserves support.

Who would have thought there would be somewhere this nice in Bellville, OH? Very accommodating, lovely room, great wine bar, friendly staff, nice breakfast. The building itself is fantastic. Lovely old building restored yet modernized. I highly recommend the Wishmaker
