“We had a wonderful stay at the Kandy House. Its location outside the central area allowed us to have a tranquil and restful break from the hustle of the city. Yet, we were still within about a 10 minute drive of the Kandy Lake area. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was particularly roomy. “The house manager changes almost everyday and so is the service level. We stayed for 3 nights and the first senior manager was excellent to accommodate our needs, including the thermometer that I needed to check my fever. The second manager had difficulty to understand English first of all. We were shown first to the room on the 1st floor. There was construction going on in the backyard which was noisy. So, we asked to change the room after half an hour. The new room on the 2nd floor was good...

“Quiet surrounding and peaceful ”

“The views are amazing and staff friendly but we were very disappointed when they tried to scam us at dinner. After we ordered the waiter suddenly announced that all the prices in the menu was “old prices” from 2022 and that there would be extra charges. Appearantly the menu card has not been opdater for 3 years…. That kind of extortion is just unprofessional. ”
