Belmar stay

Everything was great. Peaceful neighborhood, close to beach as advertised. Lots of good restaurants. My only complaint was the bed needs to be at least a queen not a double. Other than that we liked it.

Bare bones accommodations.

Was advertised as accommodations for 4. Luckily there was just the 2 of us. Kitchen table only had 3 chairs, no room for a 4th one. The bed in the bedroom was very small. We took turns sleeping, one in bed, other on living room couch. All 4 coffee mugs were dirty and/or cracked. Went to dollar store and bought 2 new ones. A/C units, while adequate, were very noisy. No lock on bedroom door, no blinds or shade on entry door, broken shades on bedroom window. Apt is over garage, which stores the owners' children's bikes, etc. opened and closed throughout the day. The smoke alarm went off twice, once in the middle of the night. Called owner, left message. Never received a reply or acknowledgement. For the money, I think we could have done better.

Comfortable Pleasant Place to Stay

Very clean comfortable place to stay in a very pleasant quiet neighborhood, with just 3 blocks to extensive, beautiful, well managed beach. An easy walk for those in good shape. We often drove over and parked as we had beach chairs, umbrella etc to take. (there was usually parking available, either paid or free in late June if we got there by 9:00 am lr later on nice days, especially near 20th Avenue). The apartment is not fancy but comfortable, in line with a beach area property. It retails the old original late 1800s style doors and windows which retain a certain rustic charm, but some of them are not in the best shape or appearance. Some of the furnishings are older, some fine, some could be updated. The bed in bedroom and fold out couch bed in living room were both comfortable. The bathroom is adequate but small and not very updated. The wonderful porch is a big plus. It adds a lot of extra open space and being on second floor provides a pleasant peaceful place to eat and enjoy the nice, quiet neighborhood.

Location, location, location...

Great getaway particularly for a couple. Charming guest house with complete privacy tucked in the middle of an upscale neighborhood. Equidistant to all evening entertainment, restaurants, bars as to the very short walk to the beach. I did quite a bit of research before choosing this property, and it totally paid off. I'm keeping it on my "short list" for our upcoming vacations. Many thanks to Jodi and Dickie for being the consummate hosts...

Planning my next trip to this beautiful beach guesthouse!

My daughter and I recently stayed at this amazing guesthouse and I have nothing but positive things to say about our experience. Jodi was extremely friendly and so easy to work with. She immediately responded to us when we had questions or any needs. The rental is very clean, beautifully decorated and had everything we needed. Much love and care was put into making it a special beach experience. I loved drinking coffee on the deck and taking in the ocean breeze! This rental is on a beautiful, quiet, picture perfect street and also within walking distance to restaurants, stores and the BEACH! My daughter and I were so comfortable here and did not want to leave.I'm already trying to figure out when I can return.

Clean, comfy, great location!

This cute guesthouse was the perfect place for our week-long stay in Belmar. The space is super clean and very comfortable; only 3 blocks to a great section of the beach and 3 blocks the other direction to a host of downtown restaurants and shopping. The off-street parking was also crucial since street parking can be really impossible in Belmar on summer weekends. Would definitely book again!

We loved it! It felt like home!

Adorable place and very clean! Owners are very friendly! It is close to everything which was great since we took the train to Belmar so we could basically just walk to where we needed! My 2 year old daughter just loved the porch! She would sleep there if she could! And there is a playground really close to the house if you have kids. Really hope I can come back soon!

Great spot, great location! We had a fabulous time.

Charming little appt, great location next to beach and Main Street (restaurants stores). We couldn't have asked for more for the price. Host relaxed, good communications. Clean. Good sized porch was fantastic for a brunch or relax time after the beach. And the BEACH! Love it!

Loved the rental property, it made the trip extra special!

This was a great apartment, I would definitely recommend it, and would stay there again. It was as described, and the kitchen was more than fully equipped. Towels were very new and plush, and 2 beach chairs were made available. Futon became a nice sized bed, and the bedroom was spacious. The bathroom was quite small, but that was fine with me (note: it was extremely clean, and that was wonderful). My favorite parts were the great balcony/deck and the location. It was a very short walk to both the beach and Main Street. It was such a fun place to stay, my toddler son and I miss it a lot since returning home. We still talk about what he has termed "the house" all the time! Thanks for sharing a fantastic place with us!!!

Perfect Spot!

Just what I needed to get away for a week at the Jersey Shore. Close to the beach and local restaurants. Owners were awesome. Definitely just as it's described, an adorable guesthouse. Already planning my get away for next year.
