“Staff were very friendly and accommodating. The room was very clean. It’s a small room but only because it’s a historic beautiful building. It had everything we needed.
We ate in the restaurant. The food was superb. Good price too. Highly recommended. 👍”

“Booked a one night stay to extend another hotel stay close by so we could do the Churnet Valley rail trip. Had a comfortable stay, everything very clean & comfortable. Was a little disconcerted to find we were actually staying in the house with the owner, an unknown experience for us. Julie was very friendly & helpful. Really appreciated the cold bottles of water we were given and the brunch bar.”

“One night stay was good for what we needed just very dusty , cobwebs everywhere , dust in the air vent in the bathroom , cracks and screws hanging out.
Would stay again as the room is adequate just needs abit of a clean. ”

“I had the best time here, its so peaceful, stunning views and a very clean, spacious room. But to top it off the couple running it were the nicest people you will ever meet. They know so much about the history of the surpunding area and will give you advice for activities to do if you are ever stuck. I would highly recommend staying here and i will 100% be returning ”
