Cozy Retreat in the Forest - Walk to Factory Outlets!

Enjoy easy access to all that beautiful Bend has to offer. Quick access to the Parkway and a short driving distance to the Old Mill and downtown. Easily enjoy all the beautiful trails, lakes, cafes, breweries and Mt. Bachelor of Central Oregon.
It is safe, quiet, and perfect for a get-away.

This tranquil home is spacious, clean and has beautiful views looking over a large backyard on .38 acres of land with giant pine trees, that frequent deer, squirrels, birds, rabbits, and other wildlife. Recently remodeled with new bathrooms, and a fresh look.

Review

I was really surprised to realize that this is someone's home, where they obviously still live, that is rented out. There was food in the cupboards, fridge, and freezer, clothing in the closets, etc. When I arrived, I was worried I had walked into someone's home, that the rental was a prank. I think it needs to be mentioned in the site description that this is someone's home, not just a vacay rental. Jenni was great, accommodating my early check-in, and quick to respond to any communications. It was wonderful to find live plants, musical instruments, essential oils, sage, and a great book collection! The place could have definitely been cleaner, especially the bathroom and kitchen/dining. The outdoor trash cans were overflowing with garbage during really hot weather, so it was impossible to enjoy open windows/doors or the yard without the stink. I did get to see a sweet spotted fawn in the yard, so that was fun. Thanks for sharing your home.

Unsettling experience, but the owners effort shows

Positives: 1. Bathrooms though quite small were generally clean and seem partly renovated. 2. Nice surprise visits by the deer family, cats and a rabbit! Could be better: 1. The listing doesn’t make it clear but it seems the owner stays at the property and probably just moves out when guests are staying, which is bit unsettling experience. You could just see someone’s belongings and fully stocked refrigerator with partly used items etc. To realize that this property is a regular home and not just a vacation home is unsettling. Haven’t had the experience of staying in this type of vacation rental 2. If you are planning to use the kitchen.. don’t. The photographs don’t quite show the picture. Kitchen appliances and overall could be better. 3. A few safety hazards in the house- an open electrical socket (that I have a picture of too), with small kids we always were bit worried. Please fix these 4. Beds have access from only one side Overall, considering all above points I would say the owner makes an honest and good attempt to provide a nice experience. With some of these above mentioned points taken care of, I would recommend this property to others for stay.

Nice and clean house

Very close to services. House has a large yard that is visited by local wildlife, including some neighbor cats, a white tail deer and a domesticated rabbit. Long driveway was good for larger vehicle, easy in and out.
