We had so much space To stretch out with our dog. Clean and the beds were super soft. We like that we could watch TV in a different room. Breakfast was good. The only thing we didn’t like was walking through 4 smoking people, I think a couple were employees to get in the room.

Squeaky bed really annoyed me, we needed a good nights sleep for a funeral the next morning. During check out the associate didn’t even ask how the stay was average as for customer service. . I asked the associate what the cost of room was and for a receipt and she wouldn’t tell me the total but said she could see it. She stated I’ll get receipt from whoever I booked with. Check in associate was very polite. As for breakfast the associate was very kind and stated they were out of food items which sucked but we ate the little bit that was there.

Everything was great except for the breakfast. I was a bit disappointed when most of the food containers were emptied and was not refilled.

What a great hotel for families to get together and make memories. The pool was open but water and pool room pretty chilly. Very nice staff.

Check is was terrible and computer system wasn’t working. Then was called after 11:30 to 12:30 am in middle of night to go down and put my credit card on for $100 hold. After being a sleep for a few hours. Was very upsetting. Because the room phone was working and they couldn’t hear when I was talking! Just wanted a go night sleep before heading back home.

I was a bit skeptical when I booked this hotel based on the past reviews, but we had a great stay. Our room was clean as you would expect, plenty of towels and sheets for the pull out bed. Breakfast was served in the morning, nothing fancy but it did the job. The only complaint I have is about the garbage cans outside the front of the hotel - they were overflowing and the trash needed to be taken out. Hotel seemed to be understaffed but overall stay was good. Would definitely stay here again.

The hotel room stinks of dog terribly, it's nothing against animals, just the cleaning is terrible and everything smells of dog urine. Also, the air conditioning blew all night as if it were a hair dryer.

Clean but Plain
Clean but plain. Obviously designed for low maintenance and minimal labor cost. No restaurant or bar. A place to sleep with no experience to be had in the hotel itself.

They really need to work on getting your deposit back you have to wait too long to get a deposit unacceptable

The people were nice, but the room had a kitchen and it smelled like someone had been microwaving fish. Also, the continental breakfast was pretty limited and what they had wasn’t great. Good location for visiting St Joes

Not bad but not pleasing
We like the Staybridge Hotels so we’re excited to see one convenient to our trip. This one is right off the highway, located in the middle of many other hotels and restaurants. It seems to be showing its age. The check-in staff was not particularly friendly and they fire alarm box in the lobby was going off our entire stay (check-in clerk dismissed it as unimportant). The room was comfortable but not as clean/maintained as other Staybridge locations we’ve stayed at. Breakfast was a typical no-frills experience.

The management & staff is ALWAYS A1, and treats me very well. I love going to this hotel. It’s the only place I stay when in Benton Harbor!

Short stay getaway
We had an absolutely wonderful stay. From our initial check in every staff member we met was wonderful, friendly and helpful. The maintenance staff came right away when we were having issues with the tv in our room. There wasn't a single staff member that wasn't just great to meet. Our room was clean, nice, quiet and we lacked for nothing. We will absolutely stay here again in the future.

A favorite hotel for our sons and families at the holidays. Large, clean room, nice staff. But the pool was closed for remodeling…at the holiday…bummer for all of the grandkids. Not much to do without a pool. But comfy stay so everyone can be together.

First room checked in discovered two huge bags of medication freezer full of filth frozen items The second room also disgusting filthy and dirty the third room it was acceptable they was gonna compensate me for the inconvenience in time to take us a check in for for one room to another room try to find some suitable to stay for the night

We did not have any toilet paper in our room and discovered this at an inopportune time. The shower gels/supplies were empty but there was a partial bottle of shower gel in the shower ledge. The top shower bar grip was loose and would have been disastrous if someone fell and grabbed this as it would have pulled from the wall. It took us 1 day to realize our room's air conditioning was on 60! No wonder we were cold! There was no coffee in our room but we did have tea bags. When we first went to our room the door was ajar and this is very disorienting! Was someone in there? That is a first..walking into a room where the door was open.This was a Fall Break family getaway. My daughter's room had a pink bottle full of cleaning fluid left in the bathroom and she has toddlers! The pool was not functioning and this was such a disappointment! We would have liked to know this before we left for this place. We did sleep well once we got our temperature adjusted as our room was dark and quiet. The hot breakfast was very good and plentiful!

They need to do better.
Rooms desperately need to be properly cleaned… we were changed three times from rooms. There is mildew present in the air vents and the showers have mildew and rust. Coffee pot had old coffee. Nice that they have free washer and dryers, but the washers have mildew also.

This is a very nice property and the initial price was reasonable. However when I tried to add one day to my stay the asking price was too high so I booked that day at another hotel.
