Vieni a goderti la nostra meravigliosa cabina su 7 acri che confina con Ricketts Glen State Park. La posizione è ottima e le attività sono infinite!

Questa cabina si trova a 1 miglio dalla punta del sentiero del Ricketts Glen State Park, che ospita 22 splendide cascate. La cabina è anche nelle immediate vicinanze del lago Jean - dove è possibile noleggiare un kayak / canoa, andare sulla spiaggia sabbiosa del lago, nuotare o pescare!
Le possibilità sono infinite!!!

Venite a godervi la pace della vita di campagna o mantenetevi attivi e andate in mountain bike, sci di fondo, racchette da neve, motoslitta, trail running o caccia.

La cabina è rustica ma dispone di tutti i comfort moderni: aria condizionata, Internet, DISH TV, cucina completamente attrezzata (utensili, posate, bicchieri, utensili da cucina, pentole / padelle), camino a gas interno, focolare all'aperto e griglia a carbone.

Questa cabina ha anche un ponte aggiunto per lo spazio abitativo all'aperto!

This little hidden cabin was perfect to relax and enjoy quality time with our kids. Close to so many attractions. The hosts went above and beyond to welcome us.. super friendly. We are already planning out next adventure in the summer time to enjoy the deck and fire pit! Thank you.

We have stayed in the cabin for the last few years and our family always has a positive experience. The cabin us super clean and cozy. Our family always enjoys smores by the fire and Christmas movies by the fire afte a long and beautiful hike at Rickett’s GlenMy only feedback I would have ur to maybe have one more small couch or chairs so everyone can sit in a comfortable chair when we watch movies by the fire.

The Cabin was very comfortable. We were there only overnight. The bedroom downstairs does not have any space for luggage. We left our suitcases in the living room. There was a dresser under the stairs just outside the bedroom. The beds are comfortable. Plenty of hot water. Bring your own soap for the shower. When I was given the key instructions- I was asked if we wanted to rent towels and sheets or bring our own. This kind of surprised me since there was no mention of providing my own in the listing. Yes it is omitted which is not the same thing. I went back and reviewed the listing and read some of the reviews. It was never mentioned. I brought my own sheets and towels. We headed out early before daybreak to make it to our next destination. So we were not there long enough to explore the area.

This was my second trip to this cabin, this time with a group of girlfriends. I absolutely love this cabin! It’s always clean and stocked with all of the essential cooking supplies (including a convenient way to buy firewood!). The rooms are comfortable, the living room is cozy, nights around the fire pit and mornings on the deck with coffee are perfect! It’s very close to all of the Ricketts Glen hikes - which is why I came back with the group! Our host Jessica was easy to communicate with, and was very responsive through the booking process. Really love this property, and can’t wait to come back again!

Cabin was so cute. Beautifully decorated and stocked with all the essentials. Road noise was there as you are right off a busy highway. I enjoyed it. But some may not. Only downside is the upstairs was rather hot seems the air conditioning did not make it all the way up there. Owners were very attentive and responsive. I would go back again.

Adorable cabin in a great location

The cabin is located conveniently across the street from a hotel that has a bar and food, and less than 3 miles from the beach of Lake Jean and Rickett's Glen Falls Trail. It's secluded and the property is beautifully maintained. There were only two negatives: the first being that we stayed here when it was 90 and there is no AC upstairs where the 2nd and 3rd bedrooms are. Luckily we didn't have guests or additional people with us, as it would have been truly uninhabitable to stay upstairs in the summer. I don't remember this being specified in the listing. The second was that it was a 20 charge for linens, but we were only provided with two small pillows and a tiny blanket that barely covered the both of us. I would recommend skipping the added fee and bringing your own sheets and blankets. Otherwise, overall great experience! Also, there is wood on the property available for sale which added to the convenience. Would stay again, but not in the heat of summer.

Spacious cabin with full kitchen. We enjoyed our one night stay. Very close to the Falls Trailhead, which was why we were in the area.

One-night Stay

Check in was very easy and convenient. The Inn appeared clean and had a nice atmosphere. There was an unpleasant preexisting odor that we could smell walking into the Inn coming from both bathrooms. One bathroom was off the downstairs bedroom. The odor from the bathroom leaked in from the walls to where we could not sleep in that bedroom at all. The hand soap dispensers were so used that hardly anything was coming out of them because it was leaking from the sides. When I turned on the fan in the downstairs bedroom, large clumps of dust flew everywhere. After two showers, we ran out of hot water.

Perfect location for hiking Ricketts Glen

I found Cabin in the Woods (aka Fish Tales Inn) from reading comments on Facebook regarding the Falls Trail at Ricketts Glen State Park…absolutely perfect location if you are looking to do the same…and the 21waterfalls are beautiful!!! There is a huge fire ring for making campfires to stay warm at night, make mountain pies, smores, etc. Two grocery stores are nearby (Country Fresh Market and Mountain Fresh Supermarket) if looking to buy your groceries there. However, Country Fresh Market does not sell corned beef at the deli, except around St. Patrick’s day, if wanting to make rueben mountain pies…may want to plan ahead for that. Highly recommend and we are actually talking about a return trip maybe for next year. Jessica was very responsive with any changes and questions we had as well.
