Extremely Disappointing Stay – Poorly Maintained PropertyWe arrived after the allowed check-in time to find dirty laundry on the porch, no towels or sheets, and unmade beds. After contacting the host, Cynthia, she reached out to linen services, and sheets were eventually dropped at the door around 11pm. Towels didn’t arrive until the next day, leaving us completely unprepared our first night.The property was dirty and clearly not cleaned before our arrival. We found dirty dishes in the oven, a pan full of grease, ants on the table, sticky surfaces, and dead flies on the window sills. Trash cans were completely full when we arrived. There were also no kitchen towels — we received a random Amazon delivery the next day with a few after mentioning it.We shared photos with Cynthia, but instead of acknowledging the condition of the property, she was defensive and dismissive. It took several messages and pressure just to receive the cleaning fee back. Closets contained personal items like clothing, shoes, and even a laptop. This was by far the worst Vrbo experience I’ve had, and I’ve stayed in many. The lack of preparation, cleanliness, and professionalism from the host was extremely disappointing.
