Aldernest Loft - 'Quietside' di Mount Desert Island / Acadia National Park

Insieme a mio marito e famiglia, ti invitiamo a condividere la nostra casa a Mount Desert Island, che è la casa di Acadia National Park. Seaside Cottages condivide una proprietà di 7 acri con 500 piedi di granito in grassetto e litorale di spiaggia di pietra tra Mitchell e Duck Cove direttamente sulla Blue Hill Bay nel villaggio costiero di West Tremont. L'ambientazione offre un'esposizione a sud ovest con splendidi tramonti.

La nostra posizione è privata, decisamente non commerciale ma comoda per le strutture delle città circostanti. È possibile raggiungere parti del Parco nazionale di Acadia in 10 minuti e Bar Harbor entro 30 minuti.

L'Aldernest Loft è il secondo (ultimo) piano di un cottage adiacente alla nostra casa che si affaccia sulla Blue Hill Bay. La costa rocciosa di Blue Hill Bay è a pochi passi attraverso il prato. Puoi prendere il caffè la mattina seduto sugli scogli mentre ti godi il nostro ambiente tranquillo e pacifico. Quando arrivi qui, saprai che questa è la tua nuova casa lontano da casa.

INFORMAZIONE GENERALE:
1) Si affitta per la settimana da Sabato a Sabato.
2) L'Aldernest Loft è non fumatori. Non è consentito fumare all'interno in qualsiasi momento.
3) L'Aldernest Loft è pet-free. Abbiamo scoperto che molti dei nostri inquilini di ritorno sono allergici agli animali domestici, quindi abbiamo purtroppo concluso che non possiamo permettere animali domestici.
4) Il Loft Aldernest può ospitare comodamente quattro persone. C'è un letto matrimoniale e due gemelli. Contiamo i bambini, inclusi i bambini, come parte dell'occupazione totale.
5) I cuscini e le coperte sono ampiamente forniti. Chiediamo agli inquilini di fornire la propria biancheria da letto, da bagno e da cucina. Abbiamo l'opzione di ulteriori $ 50. 00 tassa se non è possibile farlo.

We truly enjoyed our vacation in Aldernest Loft. The place is very clean, close to the shore, and great for nice walks in the neighborhood. We also enjoyed swimming in the nearby lake , which is also suitable for small children. Nice restaurants and bistros were also within reach as we drove to the Acadia National Park. We liked the variety of trails available, of different difficulty grades. We also appreciated Kathleen's kind care.

We loved our stay in Tremont in the cozy top floor of the property. The house was squeaky clean and welcoming, and we also took advantage of being a short walk away from the beautiful coastline (sunset was exquisite!) It was a bit of a drive over to Acadia and Bar Harbor but we appreciated being away from all the crazy tourism and found some really good restaurants and quiet shore walks closer to our area. Would definitely come back again!

Nice bungalow. We stayed in the lofted area on the second story of the house & did have guests below us. There were about 14 stairs to climb up to the apartment. Quaint set up. We ate breakfast in AM & packed lunch, & had access to kitchen supplies to make our dinner meals. It was about 30 min to get to Acadia National Park from our location. Setting was quiet & had a short walk to a rocky beach area, but mosquitoes were prominent as soon as you walked out the door. Shower access is a small 2x2 stall, but doable. Access to laundry facilities in our bathroom which was nice to take care of some loads before we came back home. No AC, but fans available & cross breeze was nice with windows open. We enjoyed our stay!

We really enjoyed our stay and would consider staying here again. Kathleen was very helpful and seemed very responsive to making peoples’ stay enjoyable. The place was very clean when we arrived. The space was efficiently organized for comfortable living. We really enjoyed and made good use of the stackable washer and dryer. The mosquitoes around the cottage and on the short walk to the beach kept us from using the Adirondack chairs and the charcoal grill outside the cottage. Would recommend getting a lobster roll at Archie’s down the street.

Our plan was to spend the week exploring Acadia and Bar Harbor, (which we did, only 1/2 hour drive away!) but because we stayed in this cute little loft we also spent time in Southwest Harbor where there are nice shops and restaurants, that along with restful quiet nights.

Kathy and Jay were very helpful and accessible. The beds were incredibly comfortable. Internet was excellent for the three weeks we stayed. Both grownups were working fulltime and Zooming all day long and had few WiFi glitches considering the poor WiFi in other areas near by. This place is small, but it was plenty big enough and very comfortable for our family of four. A private shore is a 3 minute walk away. We loved our stay at Aldernest and recommend it highly to others!

I was looking for a quiet area to relax. The area is definitely quiet, but the furnishings were not comfortable. There were no headboards on any of the beds. I needed more pillows too. There was no couch/sofa, just 2 wicker chairs. I could have used an ottoman at least to put my feet up. The table benches were a little rickety and moved every time my husband got up. These are things that you can see in the images, so I’ve learned a lesson about paying more attention and realizing what I need as far as creature comforts. There were no curtains on any of the windows and they are definitely needed in the bedrooms as it starts to get light at 4am! The kitchen was very nice. We had a nice view of the sunset from the windows. Very nice to have washer and dryer too. No water views from the loft, you have to walk across the property but it is beautiful when you get there. Another couple was in the downstairs unit and we could hear them talking all evening. I imagine they could hear us too. But I guess that’s anywhere. It’s a cute loft in great condition but did not provide the comfort I expected for the price point.

We had a lovely experience at Kathleen’s loft cottage. It’s super close to Bass Harbor Head Lighthouse and not far from the bulk of Acadia National Park. The cottage is just a short walk to the coast as well. Kathleen was a great host!

The apartment was immaculate and very comfortable. The kitchen had all of the essentials to make full meals. We made our breakfasts and lunches and then bought carryout for dinners. We found a couple of excellent restaurants in SW Harbor as well as a delicious bakery that also had wonderful pizza. There was a path down to a small rocky beach that was fun to explore. Good hiking within minutes in the quiet part of Acadia NP which was helpful during the more crowded weekend days. Kathleen was easy to communicate with during the whole process.

The moment I arrived I knew I chose the perfect spot! The loft was cozy and inviting and the perfect size for 2 people. The kitchen was small but equipped with adequate utensils and pans. The bedrooms were clean and cozy. A bonus was the washer/dryer in the bathroom. It was such a lovely cute space. My host, Kathleen, was helpful and most welcoming, giving me a tour of the property and the way to the water. Coffee in the morning on the ocean was very special. The easy vibe of this quiet location made my trip to Maine memorable.

Great location. Helpful and responsive hosts. Adequate facilities. Great and covenient to have laundry on site. Kitchen lacked some things I consider basic. Only one small skillet, no griddle or larger frying pan. No vegetable peeler or small knife. Only small and very large pans. No salt or pepper.

Our family really enjoyed staying here. Being able to walk to the water in the morning and nights was great. The house had everything we needed, and we really appreciated having the washer and dryer!
