- Ideally situated for a unique trip to Lundy Island and offers the opportunity to enjoy a range of Devon’s highlights. Westward Ho! is close by with its two mile stretch of sandy beaches, arcades and independent eateries. Bude is slightly further afield, although still an easy drive with several sandy beaches, golf course, canal-side artisan cafes, surf shops, a local history museum and art gallery. The pretty coastal villages of Appledore and Instow are also well worth a visit and offer a variety of fish restaurants, bars and delicatessens. Other attractions such as Hartland Abbey and Hartland Quay, The Milky Way, The Big Sheep Adventure Park, Dartington Crystal and RHS Rosemoor are also within easy reach.
There are three steps and the ramp accessing the gated veranda to this single storey water’s edge lodge. Inside you will find an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner boasting a well-equipped kitchen with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and a dishwasher. The lounge has comfortable corner seating to relax and unwind after a hard day’s fishing. Leading from the lounge area are the two bedrooms: one double and a bunk room with a small double bottom bunk and a single top bunk. Completing the accommodation is a shower room with a jet-spray shower and WC.
After a busy day, head out through the double doors onto the balcony and enjoy the views over the lake. Being so close to the water’s edge makes this lodge a true fisherman’s heaven.
