Hotel a Bielby

“We had a wonderful stay at Spindle Cottage in Bielby. It’s a lovely, traditional cottage full of character, set in a peaceful rural location that’s perfect for switching off and relaxing. Despite the quiet setting, it’s only a short drive to nearby supermarkets, pubs and restaurants, which made it really convenient. The hosts were very friendly and helpful throughout, making us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. A great choice if you’re looking for a comfortable countryside stay...

“Staff cordiale e disponibile, stanza confortevole, buona posizione e ottima colazione.”

“Beautiful accommodation. Friendly staff. Great price including a wonderful breakfast.”

“Camere squallide. Stesse lenzuola per 4 notti. Lenzuola bucate e variamente rammendate. Letto fatto male con lenzuolo che non copre il materasso. Materassi sfondati. Specchio in bagno ad altezza ombelico, impossibile farsi la barba. Accesso alla piscina limitato ai bambini (fino a 16 anni) in orari estremamente ridotti. Al lunedì dalle 9 alle 10.30 con orario della colazione che finisce alle 9.30: o fai colazione o accompagni tuo figlio in piscina. In settimana dalle 15.30 alle 17.00 o vai...

“Beautiful hotel and staff”

“Father and son stopover after two days of hiking during a long drive home. The Wellington Hotel was exactly what we needed — easy check‑in, no fuss, clean rooms, comfortable beds, hot showers, and a genuinely tasty breakfast that set us up for the rest of the journey. Simple, welcoming, and spot‑on. Highly recommended.”

“Perfect for a short trip”

“We booked this as a last minute booking and wasn't sure ehat we were expecting but wow what a place! Beautifully designed, nice and relaxing. Staff couldnt do enough and great value for the rooms, Breakfast was lovely too! Only 20 minutes away from York City Centre will definitely be staying again”

“Hotel is central. Bed is small for two and you hear noise for the other rooms.”

“Was a beautiful stay, the room was really clean, the property well maintained. Wouldn’t hesitate to book again or advise anyone to stay ☺️ thankyou!”

“Property lovely, high standard interior. Staff on reception felt a little awkward as if on guard sat at a desk near the stairs but were always friendly. Access was a little difficult due to cars parked around the entrance to the car park. I guess to avoid the additional charge per night extra charge which we paid. Upon leaving our car was covered in tree sap but it will wash off. We stayed for 4 days and no one came into our room to empty our bins, replenish toiletries or restock the hot drink...

“Ho dormito una notte soltanto ma ho potuto godere di una camera spaziosa e molto confortevole, ideale per chi viaggia per lavoro”

“Overall an OK stay but not worth the price tag. Visited at half term, hotel appeared under prepared. All staff were helpful and polite but clearly under staffed so not necessarily their fault. Room not ready 2 hours after check-in, walkways not maintained, dirty glasses and plates with food on outside a lot of rooms. 1 bath robe in the room for 3 guests, toilet in the room didn't flush and whole bathroom in need of basic repairs. Bar/restaurant stopped taking food orders at 7:20pm in school...

“This is my favourite place to stay. Clean rooms with everything you need for a short stay. The food is amazing and plenty of choice. The staff are really friendly and helpful. Plenty of parking. Highly recommend”

“Cute hotel, good location, modern, and nice to have the tavern attached for a drink and breakfast, but the double room was very small and with no closet, drawers or anywhere to put suitcases we had little floor space left. Too cramped for a couple but probably great for one person. Also it's loud if you have a room facing the square. I would stay again, but in a larger room at the back of the hotel.”
