“I was very disappointed with my stay. The property is significantly overpriced for what it offers. The jacuzzi was one of the biggest disappointments—the water was dirty, which made it unpleasant and unacceptable to use. The breakfast was just average, with very limited healthy options. For the price of the stay, I expected a much better selection and higher quality. The restaurant is overrated. Based on the reviews, I expected an exceptional dining experience, but the food was nothing...

“Front desk faces Moonridge and is open until 5. Kameron was helpful. Parking spaces are not large, consider driving a medium SUV or a smaller vehicle when you stay here. Slow down; easy to overshoot the two entrances from Moonridge. I stayed in the Crabapple room that faced the main road. While I felt safe, I did not want to open the window due to road noise. No fridge, microwave, or closet in room. Attractive decor throughout; it looks a bit overwhelming on the photos but is quite relaxing....

“I hate to give such a bad review. My family began staying at the Goldmine Lodge in the early 1990s, so it had some nostalgic value. This weekend was the first time since 2007, and the property is really run-down. The wall heater didn't work, and the BBQs were rusted out and unusable. Most of the switches didn't work, and the kitchen window was broken.”

“Paid for a queen size bed. Was told they only have full in every single room. When you can choose size on Expedia or their website We feel we were overcharged and their advertisements for rooms is correct and mis leading Outside of property not maintained at all People living in rooms. Very disappointed in our experience paid for two nights but decided to leave one day early due to sleeping conditions. Will not recommend this motel to anyone.”

“Big Bear Lake was a great getaway for our much needed family vacation. Our cabin was very cozy and charming. We had all the amenities we needed. Great location. Close to the Lake, hiking, shopping, & dining. ”

“I would definitely go again. We were family with school age kids, kids enjoyed playing in a nice game room. The house was professionally kept clean, house decoration was superb and view was great. Good location, great house and host.”

“There was a mouse in the cabin, we called for support ,maintenance was sent and placed glue traps behind the stove. Not the experience I was expecting for my husband’s birthday weekend. we actually only slept at cabin one night instead of two that were paid off due to this inconvenience.”
