Welcome to Alpine Bay Chalet, a custom-built retreat nestled in the beautiful Boulder Bay, just a short walk to the lake and minutes from the Village and local shopping. This charming chalet offers an inviting family room with floor-to-ceiling windows that showcase the surrounding woods, a cozy European wood-burning fireplace, and a large flat-screen TV with Netflix and Disney Plus. Gather in the country-style kitchen and dining area for meals and fun, or enjoy the spacious bedrooms with comfortable sleeping arrangements. The game room in the converted garage, along with the outdoor hot tub and propane grill, provide endless entertainment and relaxation options. Terrific stay

We really enjoyed staying at this property. It was clean. The check in and check out process were easy. Beds are comfortable. The whole family enjoyed the jacuzzi, foosball table and air hockey. The house was beautifully decorated for Christmas already. I particularly enjoyed all the pretty lights that popped on automatically as it got dark. This is a great house with a beautiful view.

What a Wonderful Time

My adult children, granddaughter and myself stayed two nights at The Alpine Bay Chalet in Big Bear, CA. Oh my, what an awesome time we had. The Alpine was homey and the perfect size for us. We toured around Big Bear during the day then came back to the Alpine in the evening to cook supper then play air hockey and phoozball. Then after my granddaughter would go to bed the adults would carry a baby monitor and go to the hot tub. What a gorgeous setting for the hot tub, surrounded by huge granite boulders! I can honestly say my adult children and I created some very special memories. The Alpine Chalet was perfect for us. The only suggestion I have is more kitchen utensils, mixing bowls, cookie sheets, etc. Thank you Destination Big Bear!

Fun in the snow

The chalet was a great stay! Easy check in/out. Living room was super cozy with tall ceilings and wood burning stove. The game room was a HIT with the kiddos. Property was maintained very well. We were grateful they even cleared the snow out of the driveway! I’d recommend this to anyone looking for a quick getaway to Big Bear.

Family Big Bear Getaway

It was a great family getaway in Big Bear. The house was just right for our family of 5 with 3 boys under 6. Our kids were able to play in the snow right outside the property, including sliding down a small snow covered hill. The only issue we ran into was the TV losing internet connection on 3 of the 4 days we were there. Apart from that, the house is on Big Bear Blvd., so every car coming in to town or leaving town, drove by the home. Be aware that at night you can hear every car & the headlights shine into the house through the uncovered windows. If you are light sleeper, this might keep you up.

Beautiful Home with fun games for kids.

My family ( husband, 2 teens, 1 child) had a great time at this house. It is beautiful, spacious, comfy beds and game room had pool table/air hockey. There was also a foosball table and video game that my kids loved. The VRBO listing showed check in time at 3 pm and check out at 11 am but Destination Big Bear told me check in was at 4 pm and check out was at 10 am. I did inform them about the discrepancy.

This was the perfect base to enjoy all the fun and beauty of Big Bear. The chalet is modern and spacious, but has a charming mountain cabin vibe and decor. It offers plenty of activities to keep all ages entertained if you want to stay put, and is perfectly located to be close to Big Bear's restaurants, fun, and gorgeous scenery. Communication with the property management was simple and clear. The one question we did have was answered immediately by a friendly and helpful representative. The one potential drawback for anyone with limited mobility is that it is a 3 story property with a lot of stairs.

Love the place , however the service was not as I had hoped

Was locked out from property on several occasions . Somehow the lock would lock on its own. One of the nights I got locked out and had to wait outside with family during the storm of the year. When a person by the name of Phillip finally came to the property (several hours later went without a key) . Did not apologize of anything rather stated he was sleeping and was woken up. Somehow he thought it was smart to go without key when the smart thing would’ve to get the key since it was on its way. He did not care though he said since he didn’t have key we would have to wait for him to come back. Took another hour and half to get back . After simply left stating “it was open now. “ Phillip is trash

Amazing Christmas Cabin!

With a combination of adult and teenager children, we needed a place to gather and celebrate an early Christmas. This cabin was absolutely perfect for the 7 of us. Felt spacious and clean. The highlight was it was decorated for Christmas and it felt magical! Everything was already there and we only ran to the super market for extra trash bags since the kitchen trash was pretty small. I would definitely stay here again! This cabin helped make our trip go from good to AMAZING!

Amazing cabin, great location!

This place was so great! We came here for my birthday and everything was already decorated for Christmas which made it extra cozy! To our surprise the bunk beds are larger than we thought which was perfect for the adults that slept in them. Jacuzzi was awesome, game room was a nice touch. My only suggestion is that they give more specifics on what the place does /doesn’t have in the listing. There was no propane for the grill and every place I’ve stayed at has had that already there. We made do though. The listing also didn’t say what kind of coffee pot the place had, so I went off the photo in the listing that showed a Keurig, but it ended up being a regular coffee maker. Again not a big deal we ran to the store for regular coffee. Overall I would definitely come back and recommend this place to others!

Family with Older Kids Cabin in

The pictures do not do this cabin justice. I did not expect to walk into such a clean, well-maintained property. Bonus: it was decorated for Christmas which made it more magical. This is a newer build in beautiful Boulder Bay. It is perfect for an “older” family. I say that because the only down fall is that it is located on a sharp curve of the very busy Big Bear Blvd., and there is no yard. It would not have been great to have small children there, too much to worry about. The beds are so comfortable, bedding is soft, and it is well stocked with extra pillows and towels! The kitchen is stocked with basics, but bring all of your own seasons/kitchen necessities. I’ve always had small things like salt/pepper and spray oil available at other cabins-not here. Which is ok. Just wish I knew to bring it.
