“Extremely well run Hampton Inn. Breakfast was very good. Awesome ice cream place nearby, with several good restaurants in literal walking distance. I will be coming back if I visit the Mammoth Cave area again.”

“Checked in at 9:30pm with a very nice, polite reception clerk. Went to room and discovered the inn as being completely run down. Though an obvious effort had been made to clean, there was a musty smell, loud rambling ac unit and we could hear everything from the family in the adjacent room. Bathroom was in poor shape. The bed was uncomfortable and we were unable to sleep. My wife was so distraught and disgusted we checked out 3hrs later and forfeited the stay. Got back on the road and kept...

“If you move in and find a lot of bugs, I have a good method to get rid of them without having to do it by hand. You can catch the bugs in the trash can and flush them down the toilet. But it's difficult to flush the bug corpses out of the room's toilet.”

“It’s not terrible but it’s old and ugly. We didn’t find any bugs so that was awesome, but it is really loud from road traffic. ”

“Check-in and check-out process was easy. Staff was friendly. There was a mini-fridge and microwave in the room. It would have been nice to have a coffee maker in the room, but parking was easy and it was a short drive to surrounding cities and Mammoth Cave National Park. It was a great budget place to shower and sleep after a long day of hiking and exploring.”

“1 star – Scam listing, avoid at all costs I booked a stay at what was listed as the Oyo motel in Cave City, KY through Expedia, and it turned out to be completely fraudulent. When we arrived, the property looked nothing like the photos. The building was dark, run-down, and clearly not in operation. There were no lights on, no staff, and a sign on the door stating that the “Countryside Inn is not associated with OYO or the past owners” and that anyone who booked online would need to contact...

“Door didn't latch to our room unless you slammed it shut. Felt like you were going to rip the plumbing out of the shower when trying to turn on the shower. Had to ask the front desk how to turn on the shower. Water didn't get very hot for the shower. ”
