Sightseeing in Bindlach

We stayed at this hotel the last time we visited friends in Bindlach. The welcome is always friendly, the rooms spacious enough for two people, the breakfasts plentiful and lots of choice. In short, a very nice hotel with lots of amenities.

Wir haben eine Nacht hier verbracht, wir waren mit Zimmer und Hotel sehr zufrieden Die Mitarbeiter sehr nett :-) Wir kommen bei Gelegenheit wieder !

Ich brauche ein Hotelzimmer für Übernachtungen, dafür ist das Hotel gut geeignet. Schön ist im Sommer, dass man die Möglichkeit hat, sich im Biergarten aufzuhalten. Dort zu frühstücken und den Tag beim Abendessen ausklingen zu lassen. Das Essen ist sehr empfehlenswert. Man braucht ein Fahrzeug, um in die Innenstadt zu kommen. Sehr lobenswert war das Angebot eines Shuttle-Service zum Festspielhaus,

Reinfall, nie wieder dieses Hotel!

Liegt in einem Industrieviertel, von einer Seite Lärm von der sehr befahrenen Straße, auf der gegenüberliegenden Seite ab morgens 7h Lärm vom Fabrikgelände und ständig von der Klimaanlage, Spaziergang in dieser Gegend unmöglich. Im Zimmer kein Safe, kein gefüllter Kühlschrank, sehr durchschnittliches Frühstück. Unverständlich auch, daß keine Kaffee-bzw. Teezubereitung möglich ist. Wie kommt dieses Hotel zu 4 Sternen?...zwei wären korrekt. Ab 9.August (ich reiste erleichtert am 10.08. ab) penetranter Gestank von Jauche oder ähnlichem, die verteilt worden war. Der Preis von € 152 pro Nacht ist eindeutig Nepp. Auch für den Bus zum Festspielhaus mußte man extra bezahlen.

Zum Garten ruhig trotz Nähe zur Autobahn,

Zu den Ferstspielen angereist, sehr nett empfangen, Wasser und Pralienen auf dem Zimmer. Die getrennt stehenden Betten angenehme 120cm breit. Prima!

Gut gelegenes Hotel für den Besuch der Festspiele

Für unseren Besuch der Bayreuther Festspiele suchten wir ein passendes Hotel. Das Transmar ist gut gelegen und hat uns mit dem Shuttleservice auf den grünen Hügel sogar noch die Parkplatzsuche erspart. Ich werde dieses Hotel gerne weiter empfehlen.

Good business hotel close to the highway

Business hotel with easy access from the highway. Not in the town. Good for people who pass through. Good: friendly staff, good breakfast, extremely clean bathroom/bathtub. Bad: Cumbersome wifi system, no electric kettle in room

Out in the country

I last stayed here in 20009 when I was attending the Wagner opera festival In Bayreuth. My choice then, as now, was governed by the fact that by the time I came to book there were no hotels available in Bayreuth itself, so I had to take this one. The hotel itself is fine, very modern, comfortable and welcoming, with the staff's English ability ranging from basic to full conversation. Unfortunately, it is 3 Km out of town, and with only an hourly bus service into town, one has to rely on cabs. In 2009 I paid over €30 each way, explained by the fact that the driver would be unlikely to pick up a return fare, so had to charge both ways. In the intervening years industry has grown in the area and this time he most I paid was €17.50, which included cases. (I should add that if you are going to the opera, each evening there is a shuttle bus service from the front door.) The food is excellent and I think I can say that they provide the best breakfast I have ever had in an "International" hotel. I also ate in the restaurant on the afternoon of my arrival and had no complaints and propping myself up at the bar on the return from the opera the bar staff knew what had been performed and were interested in my opinion of the performance - singing, orchestral playing, staging, lighting & costumes - and all in English.

A Good Alternative to Downtown Bayreuth

The Best Western Transmar hotel, located in the suburb of Bindlach, is an affordable alternative to the downtown hotels, during the annual Wagnerfest. Be aware that it is located in an industrial area, so there's really nothing within walking distance. The hotel schedules a shuttle bus to take their guests to the Festspielhaus on opera days, and return them to the hotel after the opera is over. Very convenient, as parking at the Festspielhaus is limited. The breakfast buffet is wonderful! The restaurant menu is, unfortunately, very limited, but good for one or two meals, during your stay. Don't be in a hurry, however, as service is very slow.

Dieses Hotel liegt nicht zentral in Bayreuth, ist aber hervorragend und sehr sehr freundlich geführt. Das Preisleistungsverhältnis stimmt!
