“We have stayed at this hotel before and find it very conveniently located right next to a good shopping mall and with easy access to Cumberland and Comox. Our room, two queen beds, was quite spacious with lots of room for both suitcases. Free water, juice and nibbles were in our room on arrival, and an all-day free coffee machine in the lounge provided many varieties of coffee and tea. “We stayed at Painters Lodge for one night and unfortunately would not recommend it or return ourselves. Our check-in was delayed because our room was not ready. When we finally entered the room, the air conditioning was set to 15°C despite it being cool and rainy outside. The room felt very damp, and we were never able to get the chill out of it. “The rooms were clean and the staff was so helpful and kind. The only think that was totally out of their control was that our room was by the road and was very noisy during the day and into the evening. All in all it was a great place to stay and reasonably priced. I would definitely stay again!”
