Blueberry Grove is a one-of-a-kind escape nestled on 5 acres in the heart of Black Mountain, NC. This charming home sits on a registered organic blueberry farm that offers peaceful privacy, stunning gardens, forested walking trails, and direct access to Flat Creek—all just a 5-minute stroll from the shops, cafes, and breweries of downtown. Blending nature with convenience, Blueberry Grove is a true mountain-town oasis.

About the Home
• Spacious kitchen with dishwasher, two types of coffee makers (Keurig and Drip-style), pantry, and eat-in dining for 6
• Cozy living room with local art, handcrafted shelving, books, puzzles, board games, and a TV for streaming; the fireplace is not accessible for guest use
• Sunroom with seating and access to the patio and gas grill
• Converted barn game room with ping pong, corn hole, and large Connect 4
• Wood-burning fire pit with seating and nearby access to Flat Creek
• Guests are welcome to pick as many berries as they like during blueberry season, which runs from late July to early September, peaking in August

• Primary bedroom with a king-size bed, dedicated work space, TV for streaming, and an en suite bathroom
• Bedroom with two twin-size beds and a TV for streaming

Important to Note: This house is dog-friendly, with a $100.00 non-refundable fee per dog (maximum of two). Sorry, this home is not cat-friendly due to common allergies. There are multiple exterior Ring cameras. While the entire 5 acres is not fenced in, there is a small fenced-in dog run next to the house. The gardener visits 2–3 times weekly during peak season and is happy to share native plant knowledge!

Blueberry Cove was perfect for our family which included energized children and small dog. The creek and activity barn were the childrens favorite and the dog seemed to enjoy it too! I loved the peace. Even though there were homes and traffic nearby, you would never know it. The home has everything you need. I was worried about what coffee maker was there so I brought filters and kcups. Guess what, there were both drip and kcup! The firepit was great for smores, just could not find the outdoor lighting. Water pressure being low was the only critical thing we could complain about. It truly was incredible even with the few minor issues.

Listing needs updating: Hurricane Helene destroyed fences. It’s not fully fenced as of March 2026 & black chain link fence no longer surrounds back door. The home is great; spacious & well laid out. Room darkening shades helped with sleep, but the road noise & schools didn’t. The sun porch was lovely for reading, yoga, listening to birds, relaxing. Kitchen had all the gadgets we needed. The creek was cool, clear, & peaceful. We learned about native plants from Sara (gardener). The game barn was so fun & we used it multiple X. The firepit was great for s’mores & conversations along with star gazing. The forest trails were lovely. Look for all the fun places to sit & enjoy yourself. We walked to restaurants, Lake Tomahawk, shopping, spa & on the greenway. It’s located close to both Montreat & Asheville. Was also easy to get to Biltmore. If the listing had been accurate about the fencing, I’d have given 5 stars.

We absolutely loved Blueberry Grove and will definitely be staying here again. It was super cozy and we felt immediately at home. We also really enjoyed the book selection, the ping pong table, and the kitchen had everything you need.

Delightful Property that was well-appointed and in an easy location. Downtown Black Mountain was an easy walk and Asheville was a very short drive. The house's location is still very private considering.House was clean and taken care of. Attention to details, like labeling lights and cabinets, made the staying here very comfortable.

Peaceful getaway!

Me and my husband came to visit Asheville for the first time as a getaway from the Florida heat. We wanted a peaceful getaway and got exactly that!! Check in was easy and there was a cute welcome package when we arrived with basic toiletries and snacks! there was a binder waiting at the entrance with information on restaurants, a welcome letter, and information on the plants on the acres! The house was so clean, just as the pictures described, and had big bedrooms!! I fell in love with the blueberry garden in the back. At night it’s so tranquil and the home is next to a school which makes it feel even more safe. It’s so quiet at night and the town is wonderful! I slept amazing and the decor was beautiful ! Everything was fantastic and they were very informative. Officially found my go to spot every time I want to visit ashville! Highly recommend!!!

Great hidden gem

Enjoyed a nice time at Blueberry Grove during a rainy weekend in Black Mountain. This property is huge and the ping pong table in the party barn definitely gave the kids something to do during the showers of rain. Property was clean and all bedrooms were adequate. Kitchen was well equipped.

Lovely Farmhouse Stay

Very nice, comfortable, pleasant, well-appointed, thoughtfully organized, spacious lodging with beautiful grounds walking distance from Black Mountain’s township and amenities. We have never been more pleased with a vacation site and accommodations. Highest marks and gracious thanks to the hosts.

This house was perfect for our family Spring Break. You have the best of both worlds. Close enough to walk to all the restaurants and breweries in Black Mountain and the size of the property and the creek allows you to connect with nature and have privacy.

Blueberry Grove

Beautiful property. Large with lovely landscaping. Sadly it's situated next to a school with loud speakers and screaming kids during the week. House was nice and clean, kitchen was well equipped. The living room furniture was uncomfortable as was the master bed. Also master bedroom lacked blinds for all windows and stayed quite bright all night. The game barn needs equipment updates. Also there are outdoor ring cameras everywhere! We felt a bit spied on. Overall a decent place and the dogs had a blast.

My favorite rental!

We have stayed at around 6 different rentals in the Asheville area since 2020 and each time we have been disappointed by something…dirty, bugs, not good for taking the dogs out to walk etc. Not here though! We have finally found a great property. The hydrangeas were still in bloom in mid September when we drove up as well as some of the other flowers. What a fantastic first impression! The gardens were gorgeous and well maintained which was so impressive compared to many rentals. There is a wide carport so you can park under it and your car has a little protection (my husband was thrilled with this). There was a storm door on the front door and we were able to have the front door open, tons of natural light but still keep bugs out. We walked in the front door the first time and were SO HAPPY to see that the house looked even better in person than it did in the pictures that were posted. It was spotless. Normally I do a dishwasher full of dishes when we first arrive at a rental because they are never as clean as I would like but for the first time possibly ever, I did not do it because everything was so clean that it didn’t even cross my mind. We brought our 2 dogs & one is recovering from chemotherapy . This was our family trip to celebrate having a little more time with him. He absolutely loved sniffing all of the different areas of the yard. He was feeling so good that him andi would jog around to the different gardens. Really special memories that I will treasure & these were made possible by the property being so well kept. There were so many nice goodies in the house that you could tell this someone’s dream home, that they did not take a cheap way out like some do to maximize the return on the rental property. The outlet in the guest bathroom has a LED light at the bottom of it that lights up when it’s dark. Just a tiny light but it’s perfect when you have a late night bathroom break &don’t want to turn on lights and wake up too much. The primary bath had a heater fan in the ceiling which I can imagine is heavenly in the colder months. The kitchen has everything you need . Shoot, the microwave even has a mute button so you don’t have to listen to the beeps or you don’t wake up others. Ole’s Mexican is truly a 5 minute walk. A small brewery is across the street from Ole’s, and plenty of other options in 5 min drive. DO NOT MISS Louise’s for breakfast/lunch or Open Oven.We love this home & are thankful the family rents it out
