Fantastic location with balcony

Location, location, location! Fully renovated duplex located in downtown Black Mountain (which was recently voted by Trip Advisor as one of the “Prettiest Small Towns in America to Vacation.”). Park your car and take a hike or ride your bike. This top unit is within walking distance to everything local in Black Mountain. Such as; restaurants, breweries, shops, craft stores, picnic areas, walking paths, greenways and town festivities. There is also a nearby golf course, park and lake. You will be in downtown Black Mountain. Walking distance to downtown, near I-40; Montreat College; Camp Merri-Mac; Katazuma; Warren Wilson College; 20 minute drive to Asheville; 30 min drive to Catawba Falls.
This top unit is spacious with an open floor plan, a washer /dryer for your private use and a private balcony with rocking chairs. Just relax in the evenings and breathe in the mountain air.

Excellent location, comfortable unit

We were able to book both units in this duplex for a family holiday gathering. Certainly, we could not have found anything better located in Black Mountain. As the property description indicates, we were just five minutes from the center of this lovely small town and five minutes from Lake Tomahawk Park. All of us, including our dogs, enjoyed our stay in Take-a-Hike.

My family and I had a great time at this place. It was clean, plenty of parking, nice porches to enjoy and man talk about location. This location is close to downtown Black Mountian. You can park you car and walk/ride a bike to everything!!!

Perfect location!

Do not look at Google maps for this place. It’s way outdated. This place is gorgeous inside and out and would definitely come here again. Not only is it the perfect spot, but it absolutely quiet at night. I wish I could have had time to use the fire pit behind the house. I loved the balcony and the beds were super comfortable. It was amazing.

Perfect Location in Black Mountain

We really loved this place for our family of 4 (2 kids under 12). Locations was perfect - close to stores, restaurants, a "Little Library" on the corner, near Ashville, and one exit away from our kid's overnight camp. The beds were super comfy and they did a great job with the renovation.

Wonderful, quick little getaway for us

We really enjoyed our time here. The place was super clean and all that we needed. Walking distance to downtown and plenty of parking. Clarify if you’re the upper unit or lower unit before arriving. Would definitely come back again.

Mountain getaway

Great little apartment in downtown Black Mountain and short drive to Asheville. We were in town for a big bike race and we’re very happy and comfortable with this home. Kitchen was fully stocked, beds were comfortable and the deck was relaxing. Highly recommend for those seeking adventure. Great hiking, biking, coffee and dining in the area. Hope to return soon!

Amazing place!

I stayed here for 6 weeks and loved every day! The location can't be beat, you can walk everywhere. The porch is peaceful, beds are comfortable, all appliances are new. Property manager was friendly and very responsive. Can't recommend this place enough!

Location, Location, Location

This property has a great location, wether you are wanting to leave your car parked and walk to the many local sites and attractions near by or use it as a centrally located base to do day and half day excursions. The owners are extra friendly and accommodating. We had a last minute change in travel plans and needed to add an extra night. No problem. I would definitely recommend them. Also since there are two units, It would be great for couples or groups traveling together.

Perfect stay from start to finish.

We absolutely loved everything about our 1 week stay in this wonderful apartment. From booking through check-out the communication was quick and they bent over backwards to make sure we enjoyed our time there. The location can't be beat with only a 5 minute walk to both all of the shops and restaurants downtown, and a 5 minute walk to beautiful Lake Tomahawk park. The apartment was sparkling clean, which is so important to us during these times. They also provided many personal touches that went above and beyond most rental properties - a bottle of wine when we arrived, coffee, snacks, information on local attractions, and many more. Next time we are in Black Mountain we will not think of booking anywhere else!

Perfect location

Great location, able to walk to the local park and downtown to lots of restaurants. Great jumping off point for visiting other locations in the mountains. Cabin was clean and owners were attentive and more than accommodating. LOVED the foosball coffee table and the rocking chair porch. Definitely will be visiting again.

Adorable apartment!!

This apartment was perfect for our last minute trip to Black Mountain. The location was easily walkable to restaurants and shops in town. The owner was very responsive and accommodating. We loved the front balcony with the rocking chairs to relax with coffee in the morning or wine in the evening. Definitely the ideal situation for a relaxing time in the mountains!!

Getting Away to Black Mountain

We had a great time during our visit to Black Mountain and our stay at this property. It is a short walk to downtown to explore the quaint shops and enjoy meals. It is also a wonderful location as home base for exploring other areas and going hiking. The property was very well maintained and comfortable. The foosball coffee table was a blast too! We definitely recommend.
