Upon arrival we chose a table in the restaurant which was ours for the weekend. there was a massive amount of food for starters and deserts which were in a help yourself buffet style, after starters a waitress took the order for the mains which was a bit limited compared to the buffet array with only 3 to choose from, 1 being vegetarian.
We booked a sea view, this was a let down, the room was large with a bay window with 3 panes of double glazing glass, 1 was totally broken and filled with dirt and condensation, another was broken all the way up 1 side and halfway across, the 3rd was ok but starting to fail. We did speak to the Manager who offered us a new room but we declined as we were only staying for 2 nights and we had arrived in the middle of Storm Amy so there wasn’t much to view anyway with the torrential rain and wind. We also had to keep the plugs in on the bath and sink as drain smells were coming up.
The biggest disappointment was when I asked to speak to the Manager the receptionist asked why, she then turned to go into a room behind the desk but failed to go in far enough before I saw her nasty mimicking face mocking me. Every other member of staff was polite, friendly and very helpful
No Saturday housekeeping so we had to make our own bed.
We would stay here again but not in room 235 unless the windows were fixed.
