    Vieni e fuggi verso le Blue Ridge Mountains al Kingfisher! Questa cabina elegantemente arredata con vasca idromassaggio e tavolo da shuffleboard si trova in posizione centrale tra Blowing Rock, Boone e tutte le migliori attrazioni della zona, tra cui Tweetise Railroad, Mystery Hill, Moses Cone Estate Park, The Blue Ridge Park Way e la lista potrebbe continuare all'infinito ! Il bagno principale dispone di vasca idromassaggio e cabina doccia in pietra. Avventuratevi al piano superiore per il soppalco che si affaccia sulla grande sala e sulla sala da pranzo.

Late ski trip and couples retreat

Area and views were beautiful, the place was cozy and rustic, running water could be heard the entire time with several beautiful creeks nearby. Bed comfy, heat worked good, and a great place to relax. Kitchen could use some love and utensils to cook with, but overall very satisfying stay. Hot tub was superb!

Good but needs a few things...

The inside of the house was clean and had nice furnishings. It was also close and convenient to everything. We had a good time despite the few things that need attention. The carpenter bees are bad on the backside on the 2nd level deck. They are eating into the house. We fixed the ceiling fan upstairs, it was rattling and loud. I'm assuming a new thermostat was recently put in (Nest). It would kick off while we were gone or in the middle of the night and it would get hot. The timer needs to be adjusted. The unit is not big enough in the summer to cool the upstairs. It stayed hot up there the whole time. There needs to be a portable fan in the bunk room since there's no room for a ceiling fan with the bunk beds. The porch, decks, and fire pit area were covered and needed to be blown off. I swept them best I could. Having a battery powered or plug in blower in the garage would be helpful. The fire pit was full, maybe putting a waste bucket back there will encourage others to clean after usage. The hot tub also wasn't very clean and had pine needles in it. The kitchen needs a spatula (only a big one for the grill) Only basic TV channels provided, helpful to have a Roku or TV with it included. The most annoying was WIFI. We have AT&T as a carrier and had no service. My daughter is on Verizon and had full service. The house is on AT&T WIFI, it may as well not work at all it's so slow. That's definitely a reason we wouldn't rent here again. These are all things that can be fixed though.

Great Location and Great house.

House is beautiful. Nicely tucked between Boone and Blowing Rock. Has fun bunk room for the kids, a garage and nice fire pit area. I highly recommend staying here.

Family Fun

We walked into the home and it was super clean and very well kept. Stocked with everything we needed. Hot tub was warm and ready for use. Our family highly recommends staying here.

I had issues with the heat on the last full day of my stay. I couldn’t get the house past 59 degrees Fahrenheit and it was very cold outside. Thank God there was a fireplace.

Beautiful Cabin Not So Great Experience

The cabin itself was beautiful and spacious. It perfectly accommodated 7 people during our stay. The kitchen was well stocked, the bedrooms were comfortable, and the cabin itself was clean. The ice maker in kitchen did not work they did however, provide ice trays. The door on the first floor (where the pull-out couches are) did not lock. The jacuzzi did function properly during our stay, and it was not able to heat up. The power on the first floor continuously went off. For those traveling in the winter, the cabin is located up on a road Carolina Cabin Rentals does not regularly pave. We had a total of two cars both 4WD. The first one that arrived was not able to make it up on the first day and had to call for assistance. When we arrived the A/C appeared to be broken. It did not heat up past 40 degrees. During the time of our stay, the weather was between 20-30 degrees outside, and it was constantly snowing. I will say Tim in Customer Service was extremely helpful and attentive during our stay. He checked in with us several times during the first few days. Mike in maintenance was also extremely attentive and helpful. He ended up placing space heaters in each room and attempted to turn on the fireplace (which was never able to stay on). The A/C problem was never resolved during our stay. Carolina Cabin Rentals only refunded one-night of our stay. When we requested to be relocated to another one of their cabins, they were unable to since everything was booked due to it being a holiday weekend. The rest of our stay was very uncomfortable. The space heaters had us waking up constantly through out the night from how hot it would get. We couldn't turn them off because the A/C stayed stuck around 59 degrees. During the day, when we would call in about the unpaved road covered in snow (on their property) Carolina Cabin Rentals said it was their not responsibility, that we could call in a tow truck to assist us in getting out, which would cost us out of pocket around $75. They said the owner was the one responsible for sending someone to pave the road, and he would get to us at some point during the day, which he never did. My two stars is for the property itself. It was spacious, well-maintained, and had beautiful view. It was centrally located 5 minutes away from downtown Blowing Rock and the Appalachian Ski Resort. It was around 10 minutes from Boone. Management could improve overall professionalism and understanding when issues like these occur during a stay.

Cleanliness

The cabin wasn’t so clean, the fridge and the kitchen counter top have some dirty spots, the blinds have dust and we couldn’t use the fire pit wasn’t clean at all, have beers cans around it. Tha master bathroom sinks are not draining the water properly.

Good but not great

The house was nice but the view was not as good as I was hoping. Hot tub had not been cleaned. There were many leaves and bugs in the water and when we sat in it, the seats were covered with dirt and grit. The fireplace and fire pit were very nice and we really enjoyed the shuffle board table.

Kingfisher stay during COVID

The house was nice, however when in the master bedroom you can hear all footsteps and talking in the room above. Very loudly. There is no kitchen trash can, just a tiny bathroom one so you have to hang your garbage bags on a door hanger. Not bad, but awkward. Cell phone coverage is only 1 bar unless you are on the front porch in the far corner and get 2. Most calls are dropped due to it. Wouldn't notice it if they had wifi. The entire 2.5 weeks we were there the wifi did not work. During COVID that is unacceptable. You cannot go to the nearby Starbucks to get on your computer, they are only drive thru. You can't have an adult night out and leave the kids because they can't get on their phones and the tvs in their rooms were internet only. The tv downstairs was direct tv, but only with the very minimum of shows. You spent more time selecting to find that channel was unavailable than you could find an actual adult show. Cartoons were it. Our boys were 14, so they weren't as excited with that selection. Overall it did not make an relaxing vacation.

Our following comments are below: 1. Inside had a lot of cob webs from spiders throughout the cabin and especially in the basement. 2. The pullout sofa in the basement mattress needs to be replaced. It does not sleep well at all. 3. Could not locate ironing board. 4. Outdoor furniture should have been cleaned before our arrival. We had to clean it and sweep the the upper and lower patio area. 5. We had brooms to sweep but no dust pan to pick up debris inside the cabin. Overall our stay went well, if these minor concerns are address my family would consider staying at the Kingfisher once a quarter going forward.

Beautiful cabin in Blowing Rock

The pictures are true to the cabin. Beautiful and spacious and clean! Some reviews that we read prior to arriving or that there were not enough kitchen appliances or adequate pot and pan sizes. We did not find this to be true. There was one of every size and plenty of cooking utensils. The kids absolutely loved the Rec room on the second floor. No yard to run around in but the fire pit area and hot tub makes up for that. Considerations: they will only collect one bag of garbage for your entire stay. You would have to go to the nearby dump if you have more than one garbage bag. We only stayed two nights so thankfully this was not an issue for us but I can imagine if we were there for longer it would be. No one particularly wants to take a ride to the dump on a vacation. I do feel that the housekeeping service can be slightly improved as there seem to be a couple of closets with rolled up blankets/comforters on the floor. This made me believe they were not clean. The washer and dryer in the unit was very necessary as housekeeping does not replenish towels. As they state in the reservation details, There are not a lot of supplies such as dishwashing detergent, toilet paper, tissues etc. but certainly enough to get you through a day or two. The outside decks were also not very clean, but we did arrive during rainy days so I can imagine that is why the outside was not touched up. The AC unit was difficult to control (nest) and was set up at 76- 80 degrees (which resets every couple hours) which is uncomfortable in the summer season (especially upstairs). The Internet is extremely slow and we had to unplug and reset an order to get it to work at all. Overall the cabin was very beautiful, great furniture and added decoration touches made this a beautiful place to stay. Even with those issues, we would stay again. I can only imagine this would be so beautiful in the winter time with the great room with real log fireplace. I gave 4 stars just due to the issues above which are not a reflection of the cabin itself rather the maintenance co. Small changes could make this 5 stars.

Great Long Weekend Get Away~

Great long weekend Getaway! We enjoyed the cabin stay. Cabin is fairly new. Clean and great location to Boone or Blowing rock. We had 3 young kids that loved the upstairs and the Hot tub. only issues. many channels blocked out of direct TV. No easy way to open the Hot Tub fully. Both are minor issues. Overall We would 1000% recommend the cabin to others

Very Nice Cabin

The Cabin was very nice. There were a few minor issues - the TV and internet didn't work, and the kitchen was a little lacking in basics (there were no mixing bowls) - but all in all, the cabin was fantastic, very clean, and the customer service of the owners/rental company was exceptional. I would definitely stay here again.

winter weekend skiing

after a long day of skiing it was nice to return to a warm cabin .the place was clean and very accomidating. the teenagers and kids both got plenty of use from the upstairs game table as well as a nice view of it snowing while sitting in the hot tub on the deck. we plan to return for more skiing before winter is gone..

Wonderful in every way

Three generations rendezvoused from north or east to spend a family weekend. The cabin suited us perfectly. The 8 year old loved the hot tub and the teepee. The architecture and the decor in the cabin left us in awe. Rain prevented us from using the fire pit. The shuffleboard game in the game room got a lot of use.

Beautiful home

This is a beautiful home! Very clean and updated. The only complaint I have is that there were no large pots in the kitchen. There were only a couple of very small pots, and we were planning a pasta dinner for eight people. There were plenty of frying pans just not pots. Other than that the kitchen was very well stocked. The beds were very comfortable. Just be aware that 2 of the sleeping spots are on a sofa bed. The kitchen has 3 counter stools in addition to the table for 6, so 9 could eat in the kitchen. The living room could use some more seating. Only has a couch and one chair. We really enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit. The shuffleboard table was a nice addition to have too. There was an empty 2 car garage, so we were able to put a car in there and have room to park three on the driveway. The location was good. About a 15 minute easy drive to Boone, and only eight minutes to downtown Blowing Rock. All things considered this is a beautiful place and we really enjoyed our stay! We were also very pleased with Carolina Cabin Rentals. Very easy to deal with and quick to respond to any questions that we had!

Great Location!

Had a great week touring the country side. House was very nice, comfy and clean. Only small nits like tv channels, internet speed, consumables on site.

Blowing Rock 2019

A couple of the appliances did not work upon check in. Property manager worked with us to make thngs as convenient as possible.
